Next time, I would order two traditional beef ones as they tasted better to me and the brisket was dry. My wife ordered the Mexican corn a cheese quesadilla. While the prices are a bit high, this is one of the rare instances where I agree with the consensus opinion. My sole critique is that the tortillas could have had more flavor and texture. In terms of the contents, however, each taco is delightful and offers something a little different; but isn't aggressively novel or divergent, either. Some are a tad dry; others aren't. True rating: 3.45 to 3.7 out of 5. Very much not a 4; but still above grade, relatively and on its own. Conclusion: worth a visit. Definitely order a wide array of tacos. Perhaps consider having your own pico, guacamole, or aioli on the side as accoutrement. read more

Nice NOVA taco chain, the tacos are more Americanized with sour cream, guacamole, pico de gallo, and shredded cheddar. While the crispy corn tacos are tasty and packed with ingredients, there are too many toppings and the flavor isn't quite balanced. Note there is no alcohol sold. I was looking forward to the Cali taco and chomping down on zesty grilled portobello mushrooms and charred corn, but they were buried under the overpowering sour cream and shredded cheese. Although the Veggie Azteca taco was loaded with caramelized onions, I could barely taste them. Somehow, the flavors of the cotija cheese, charred corn, pico de gallo, cilantro cream, and caramelized onions just didn't quite blend well. Less is more with ingredients. The crispy Spinach and Cheese Empanada was the best part of our meal! It was packed with spinach and appreciate how it wasn't oozing with cheese. Paired really well with the creamy cilantro sauce from the corn nuggets. Would definitely request the sauce! The Corn Nuggets are really sweet and taste like hush puppies filled with kernels of sweet corn. While I enjoyed a couple of nuggets and fun to try, they were a bit too sweet and quickly threw in the towel. The creamy cilantro sauce on the side was divine! The Chips and Guac and Salsa was another miss. The chips tasted stale with hardly any flavor. Got a scant amount of guac for $2.75. The salsa was the best part! Senor Ramon was fun to try and nice to support this growing small NOVA business. The tacos aren't particularly memorable and feel like I can make at home. Ordering take-out w.some friends, they suggested Senor Ramon as one of their favorite Taqueria's in the area. Initially, I was excited to try them out, as the tacos were inexpensive and the menu had a lot of taco variety. Though admittedly we weren't interested in any of their sides, so we decided to pick up sides from a Pupuseria nearby. The tacos varied from $3 (normal street tacos-meat w/cilantro & onions only) & $4 for packed specialty tacos. Pumped to see tongue and tripe on the menu, I ordered one of each, along with a Senor Ramon house specialty taco. & My hubby ordered the flounder, lamb, and ghost taco. When the tacos arrived, we had at least 6 to go containers w/3 tacos in each. They did not label the boxes, so it took awhile to figure out which taco belonged to whom. I really think they could have at least put a shorthand label on top of the boxes. The worst part, as we were figuring out who got what taco, major disappointment set in as most of the tacos were barely filled with ingredients. It seemed the house tacos; just meat, had one tiny scoop of meat, barely filling the taco. They served the tacos traditionally, i.e they had two corn tortilla per taco, but this is really a technique for managing filled & juicy tacos...when they are not filled & juicy, like these were...then it's just a lot of tortilla. I will say, there was a quality of flavor spice and freshness, but it was short lived as really each taco only had enough for a bit of quality flavor, then emptiness. The specialty tacos had more filling, making them less depressing, but the flavor wasn't impressive; the ghost taco was barely hot, I didn't get a unique nip taste. The Senor Ramon was all corn and guac. No balance. Overall, the quality of the tacos, I would pay $.50-1 for. They do not stand up to the hype or price. read more

OK so I will get right into it ... OMG THIS FOOD IS AMAZING!!! I literally stood in my kitchen DANCING while tasting and eating each and every single bite of all of the items I ordered!!!! And while dancing I kept thinking why didn't I discover this establishment sooner??!!??!! These are literally the BEST tacos I've had in a really really long time (& I eat my fair share of tacos and Mexican food) and the TS478Crispy Shrimp was my favorite even though the Carne Asada Patagonia taco was the best carne asada taco I've ever had .... I mean that's just how PERFECT both of these tacos were! Every single element of them! And the Green Bowl was a loaded salad (no meat) that was not just dressed to the T, but layered and mixed and perfectly balanced from a veggie to topping to dressing ratio ... I didn't get to take a pic of it but I seriously scraped the entire container clean! And then the chips and salsa ... FRESH FRESH FRESH crispy corn chips and DELISH FRESH salsa! Open today.... will update review and stars after I eat Inside a mix of low tables and high top shared areas .... first problem is no menus to review just the large board behind the register which really needs larger fonts. Plus with others looking it's just overall hard to read... Tacos run $3-$4 each plus they have tostados, tortas, and a section called more than tacos with some interesting options... Just a lot to read as your standing at the register... sorry but a bit annoying As folks are arriving and ordering the space is annoyingly loud and echos from the voices... music a decent background level... but they really need noise dampening. Redoing my initial rating which started at a 4... wasn't going to have them lose a star as our order came out wrong which they were quick to correct ... it is opening night... that said... We got corn nuggets by mistake... I was initially excited as I like this type of product... but by the second one I could eat no more... they are WAY WAY to sweet... dessert sweet... the lime cilantro sauce is tasty and helped but not enough... by the way I liked the sauce on my tongue tacos The garlic fries need more garlic, less oil, some crispness, and probably salt which is strange for me to comment on as I'm the last one who reaches for the shaker... I'm not sure how I would describe but it was tasty and a nice addition Before I go on CAUTION JALAPEÑOS were killer hot... I adore spicy... I look for spicy... I've eaten lots of peppers and these were habanero hot. I did question the peppers as my initial assumption is someone doing prep might have been cutting other hotter peppers and kept going on the jalapeños. I was told that only the jalapeños are sliced fresh in house and they were super thin but again this. Such is killer hot Hubby had the Gabo but we asked for the grilled guacamole on the side... this should have had cotijo cheese but it was missing. A quick request and the cheese was provided. Hubby who isn't a quac fab did like it and added it back We also ordered a Patagonia with the sour cream on the side as I like but he doesn't and we had decided to share ... nice combo we both enjoyed So some intriguing tastes on the tacos, some huge misses for us on the fries and corn nuggets... and some obvious opening issues that need to work out... First time at this location. They are located in a strip mall. They have adapted well to COVID-19. I was able to go in, order, wait until my car, and have them bring it out to me. I got three tacos--the perfect amount. Their special tacos are $4 and the regular ones (just a meat and the regular toppings) are $3. I think I actually prefer the simplistic ones. The Patagonia had a lot going on, maybe a little too much to appreciate any one flavor. It was also very greasy and the grease ended up leaking into some of my other tacos. The Cordero was a lame taco which was really unique and delicious, and the pastor was just a perfect classic. The chips were not my favorite kind of chips. I liked that they came with cotija and red onion. The guac was good. read more

We've been big fans of Senor Ramon for some time and regularly go to the Leesburg location and sometimes to the one embedded in Crooked Run brewing's Stirling location. So we were super happy to see an online curbside option in response to COVID. https://senorramon.square.site/ They have full meals like the carne asada with chimichurri sauce and ready to bake options for all of their super tasty empanadas. The food quality and pricing is excellent. No issues. Some kinks need to be worked out of the distribution system however. As good, if not better then their other location (previously reviewed). The quality, flavor, spices and freshness sets Senor Ramon apart from other local Hispanic eateries. This location is especially nice, as it is not connected to a microbrewery and much quieter. The service was cheerful, patient and quick. We had the green bowl, which is all of the best toppings along with your choice of protein. Hold the tortilla. My wife and I had the carnitas, which is always our favorite. The romaine lettuce was crisp and fresh, the toppings plentiful and the serving was more than enough for the biggest appetite. Our usual starter is the corn nuggets. These were piping hot and fresh, as usual. If you haven't tried it, I highly recommend Senor Ramon for your Mexican food fix. Great food, great service and a great location. read more

I was so excited to try Señor Ramon and was thoroughly disappointed. The pros: relatively inexpensive and broad menu. The cons: undersalted and overcooked. My boyfriend and I both got different tacos for a total of barbacoa, chorizo, al pastor, carne asada and shrimp. Though we were one of three couples in the restaurant, our tacos took about 20 mins. Not bad, just surprising considering the situation. They do not yet have their liquor license, and their soda machine was out of (or not equipped for) both water and ice. The tacos were all dry and lacked salt. I typically don't like a lot of salt and even I felt it needed some. The shrimp was okay, better than the rest for sure, but I only had 2.5 shrimp in the entire taco. I was also welcomed by a piece of fried batter in my taco - which was completely rock hard. The salsa bar was cute, and I only tried the verde which was practically flavorless. It's a given that they're new and still working out some kinks, so I'll definitely give it another try, but thus far, not looking so good. They also have a sizable patio (dogs allowed) and plenty of parking. read more

Being from California, my wife and I were really excited to try this place. We ordered a 16-taco box. Unfortunately, while the presentation was very nice, the taste was just not the same. We are still disappointed. Marino-- probably the best, but still can't hold a candle to real baja fish tacos from San Diego. Lamb-- tastes like the shredded lamb from Cava. Is this even Mexican? Barbacoa-- underflavored, underspiced Carnitas-- meat was smelly and not the highest quality. Also, when you try to order, they tack on a hidden "Temporary supply chain fee" surcharge to the end that they don't tell you about. Leaves a bad taste in your mouth indeed :( We've lived in Virginia for 5 years now and still the only decent stuff we can find is in Manassas or Prince William County. read more

I've had tacos at their Chantilly location and they were good. This is a review during the C-virus. I don't cook, a majority of my meals are Territory/Freshly or at restaurants. Since we're in this situation, it's great to have viable delicious options for folks like me. The available menu is focused and limited but still great. No tacos, but don't let that distract you. I ordered online and got both email and text confirmations telling me when my order would be ready to pickup. Drove up to the shop and called to say I was there to pick up my order. Exchange was simple and easy. The menu is basically pre-made meals (kinda like what you'd get for Territory/Freshly) and empanadas. I ordered two meals - carne asada & carnitas, corn nugget fritters (so good with the cilantro sauce) and a dozen empanadas. The meals are delicious and flavorful without needing hot sauce (something you can't say with Territory/Freshly). Definitely get the corn nuggets! So good, I can make a meal out of the solely but good as a side. Now the empanadas. They're not cooked, you have to cook them - either fry or bake which is good. Cook them as you want them so they're fresh. I ordered 1/2 regular beef and 1/2 spicy beef. Baked four of them for dinner by baking them for about half an hour. They're hella good and tasty.
