Consistent, quality, straight forward menu, with fresh, wholesome ingredients. While this chain may be referred to as fast food- I believe the simply make good food, really fast. This is our family go-to restaurant when mom needs a break from cooking dinner. I feel good knowing I am serving healthy food options to the kids, just like I would from my own kitchen. The guest service is ALWAYS on point. Employees are kind, knowledgeable, and quick to rectify any concerns with an order of needed. I also love the fact that Taco Time is passionate about recycling and composting in their stores - they were doing this before it was cool (I'm old enough to remember when it wasn't a big concern in our community). I'm not sure why I go to this taco time. It's like a hit and miss service. You have some great employees with great customer service, and they get the job right. Then you have ones that don't double check the drive-through orders. So they miss something. This is the 3rd time I'm making a bad review. I don't care that im reporting a small, no big deal complaint, but when the customer asked for something, and the person who was taking the order repeats back to you, what you have ordered, I expect to get it! I asked for extra chips for my taco salad. He repeated my order back to me, including the extra chips. Even though he has other employees making my order, I believe the one taking my order, and handing to me, is the one who is responsible to make sure the order is correct. Why didn't he double check everything that is listed on my fucking receipt! I'll take the picture of the receipt to show you that the chips were ordered twice. (If able too.) Anyone that had been eating Taco Time for more than a couple decades know these guys have completely sold out. The food is rarely hot, never consistent and it taste more like filler now than ever before, but that's ok. They spent millions remodeling location despite none of them poor enough to require upgrades. After hearing about the take and bake crisp burritos, I thought I would come back and give them another try. I figured this would fix the inconsistency of what you get in the restaurant. that said, I can tell, when I was a kid, these were crisp. Now, they are chewy, I assume that is because of the choice of tortilla they use.. Before buying, I asked if they were pre-cooked and I was told yes. I asked if they cooked up as crisp as you would expect and the employee told me the company was too cheap to give employees a pack to take home and try. I didn't doubt it as the last time I ate in the restaurant, my meal was so bad I asked for my money back and was denied. I guess the current policy, no refunds. That said, took the burritos home, heated the air fryer to spec and inserted the frozen entrees. I had to put the burritos back in the fryer twice. first time because the center was cool, second time, because t just wasn't crispy. My verdict, you need to raise the temp and the time on these if you want them hot and crisp. The flavor was disappointing, but in my opinion, that is what Taco Time has become and they don't apologize or care about it. It's hard for me, because I seriously loved this place and the best day of my young life is when a location was built in my zip code, but for at least the last 15 years, it's been a steady decline. I would have put Taco Time up against a full service restaurant, now, they are clearly in the same category as Taco Bell and Del Taco. I've tried getting to the bottom of it, but they told me the recipes have not changed, yet the once savory Ranch Dressing is watered down and more tart than tangy. The once zesty hot sauce, has limited kit and no longer have chunks of veggies in it. I won't even comment on the guacamole. If it wasn't green, I wouldn't believe it. Anyone that love this place today has no clue how amazing it used to be, and judging by direction, you never will. read more

Young cashier/cook Maria is attentive, courteous, and thorough. Modest in appearance and demeanor, this was a bright end to a long day. My food arrived fast and hot. I love taco time. They usually are reliable and consistent with the quality of food. We came to this location while out shopping and ordered two tostadas salads and some crisp tacos. The lettuce on everything was so wilted and brown it was so gross I couldn't even eat my food. Very disappointing after spending $30 on dinner and not even being able to eat any of it. That lettuce should've been thrown out several days ago or more! If we would've had time I would've gone back and asked for a refund. read more

Getting my car fixed at Les Schwab and it takes for ever as per protocol. There's nothing really to do near this particular Les Schwab. Taco Time it is... So I'm walking up, greeted by the writing on the door. "No rollerblades in the store." Really? Is this a problem you actually have? This sounds like a very 1995 problem to have. Does this really happen often enough to justify a sign? My wife and I went snow boarding for our first time in about 10 years and she had help strapping on the boots. Some kid demonstrates the ratchet bindings. "Oh! Like Roller Blades... you don't know what Roller Blades are do you?" He legit didn't. I can't help but imagine the store manager belting, "God damnit Randy, I told you to put up the no rollerblades sign. Now the dining room is full of these god damned kids again!" Distant voice from the back returns, "I'm sorry Mr. Leahy but you put me at the frier again and the fricken' grease spatter is burning me so I had to go get the first aid kit!" He emerges from the back, covered in bandaids. The last time I saw a person on roller blades was about 3 years ago. They certainly weren't traveling with some meddling hoodlum Roller Blade gang. They were traveling alone. Because, really, who wants to hang out with someone who Roller Blades? It was likely another 3 years prior to that before I saw anyone else wearing them. That's because the only people who Roller Blade any more are the mid 30 something hoarders who have managed to not throw them away yet and pulled them out just this one time because they thought it'd be a fun and rewarding way to lose the belly. Apparently, they were actually all just on their way to Taco Time. Inside the store eating, I saw about 3 people total. None of them had roller blades. Perhaps they should change thier policy. If they did, they could possibly have had 4 people in the dining room. Oh, yeah. The food was meh. My $8 burrito was literally half iceburg lettuce. This last year I was diagnosed with celiac disease and there are only two things I can order at taco time now (sad, I know) the Baja taco and side of beans. I have loved TacoTime for many years, I remember enjoying the Crisp Beef burrito as a child and it's still just as good today, in fact it's my favorite. I don't go here all that often as it's a bit expensive but I have never been disappointed in this particular restaurant for sure. The food is always hot, good flavor and when I dine inside, it's clean and inviting. Very few fast food places serve you food on actual plates! While the crisp burrito and hot sauce is my TacoTime staple, I tried the Big Time Mexi-Burrito with Chicken. I was impressed with the flavor overall. The SantaFe dressing made the whole thing! The chicken had good flavor and I love the Mexi-Fries inside. Highly recommend if your hungry! read more

Came in on my way to pick up a friend from the airport. The shrimp Baja taco was drowning in white sauce. I had to scrape most of it off. I also ordered a fish taco. What came out was a fish burrito. Definitely inedible. So because it was horrific to eat, I deconstructed it. I opened it up and started to pick through everything while scraping off sauce. I found a hair. Seriously? Man, this place is a microcosm of America in decline! Ack!! Went in, looked at all those nice professional pictures of burritos and tacos and all that chicken and meat - yum! Ordered the food - pricey Ameri-Mexican food - and sat down and waited for the feast to begin. Wrong. Mexi-fries are "Tater Tots" - and greasy Tater Tots besides. Yuck! I ordered a beef burrito - with apologies to Hank Hill, "I'll tell you what, the only thing beef about it was that it had some beef flavor in the bean paste." And it was a thin layer of bean paste at that - the gourmet tortilla was basically a lettuce wrap with some grated cheese and that quick swipe of bean paste - and for that I paid six dollars (plus tax)?!? Even the drinks were weak - going light on the syrup. The people who work at the restaurant look a lot like they used to be project managers or something - they're WAY too upscale for this place. The economy is THAT bad - that former office workers have to serve overpriced fast food that skimps on the ingredients? Argh! Maybe it's the owners of this particular location - it IS a chain. Maybe the rest of the franchises actually use beef in their beef burritos, and this one is just the bad apple. I don't know, but unless you are at Home Depot and walking, and cannot stand to go up the road to one of the real restaurants within walking distance, I suggest that you avoid this location. I watched - with mixed emotions - as an employee emptied the contents of partially filled plastic garbage bags ... into other garbage bags, then REPLACED the used, now empty, plastic garbage bags back into the garbage receptacles. Frugal, maybe. Cheap? Definitely. If times are that bad that they have to conserve on the plastic garbage bags, then I suspect that you can short the stock for Taco Time and make a killing. I was starving and luckily Taco Time was there to help as I was running errands!! I went through the drive thru and although the line was really long, they did a great job helping customers and getting people/cars through the line. My only suggestion is that the employees familiarize themselves with the menu a little better so that it cuts down on confusion and will speed things up even more). I ordered the cilantro lime salad with black beans (I've had it before and it's really good! I've never had a fast food salad nearly as good). There are 2 options on the menu -- the cilantro lime salad with black beans OR with chicken. Well the person taking the orders was making a whole ordeal out of the fact that I wanted the one with black beans and NOT chicken. She asked multiple times, "So you want it without chicken?" And I kept having to repeat that yes I wanted it without chicken and that I wanted the option with blank beans. And then after going back and forth a few times she was like, "Hold on let me check if we can do that." And I heard her call to the back, "Can she get the cilantro lime salad without chicken?!" I'm like IT'S AN OPTION ON THE MENU, I'M NOT MAKING IT UP (except I didn't actually yell out loud just in my head). Plus, I've ordered it a few times before and it's never been a problem!! Anyway, it was just a tad frustrating. I'm a 2nd grade teacher, so patience is my thing but this was trying my patience. Yes, this place has grown on me. Especially the beef Baja tacos and mexi tots. And fresh hot sauce. They even have Sprite Zero!!! I haven't tried anything else on the menu, i kind of stick to what i know, but im happy with their fresh and cheeseless options (being lactose sucks but hey, that's a few calories less consumed). Also, the lady at the drive thru was super nice, she asked how many containers of fresh hot sauce i wanted and naturally, i would've said ten but i decided to not look like a sauce whore and opted for four.
