My supervisor who loves Mexican food recommended this chain. They have locations up north near Everett/Lynnwood as well as down south in Burien and Tacoma. My boyfriend and I went to the location in Burien. The atmosphere is very casual. You order at the front counter and they give you a number to bring you your food. You can also watch them make homemade tortillas at the counter. El Antojo has lots of options including tacos, burritos, enchiladas, mole, salads, pollo asado, camarones, taquitos, etc. They also serve Mexican soda, horchata, and shakes. I ordered the Pollo Mole and my boyfriend ordered the Chipotle Enchilada plate with chicken. Including tip and tax, each dish came to around $20. For such a casual restaurant, it's a little pricey, but not outrageous compared to other Mexican restaurants in the area. With that said, portion sizes are large. Service was quick and we received our food within 10-15 minutes of ordering. The Pollo Mole was excellent. The mole sauce was savory and chocolatey with just a hint of sweetness. The chicken was tender and well-coated in the mole sauce. It also came with Mexican rice, salad, retried beans, and a side of homemade corn tortillas which I thought were the star of the dish. I wish that they had a salsa bar, but at least they had hot sauce at the table to add a kick to my dish. My boyfriend was satisfied his enchilada plate which came with three enchiladas covered in red chipotle sauce with rice and beans. The table we sat at had a few crumbs leftover from the previous patrons, but an employee was actively cleaning tables and so I assumed they just hadn't had the chance yet. Bathrooms are clean. Food is great, but, not as good as it was a few months ago. I have been coming to this place since 2023 but they might have changed something in the way they prepare it but nonetheless, it is still great food. Servicing is usually pretty quick here too. Taking at most, taking more than around 15 minutes. The inside of the chain feels very authentic to a real Mexican store, with a spot for bands to play songs, though, i've only seen it twice. Ya'll just go it's so yummy, I usually get the flautas but Veronica highly recommended the Pollo poblano and it did not disappoint! It was a creamy poblano sauce with mushrooms and onions it was reminiscent of an Alfredo sauce but it was so good Ya'll. The food is delicious but its a bit over priced and the customer service is bad. I went in to order for myself and my family who I planned to meet there. So I order for everyone and sit down and wait for them to arrive. As I waited I hear them laughing and pointing at me as if all the food was going to be for me. What is it to them if it were ? My family came we ate and left. But that was so disrespectful of them. That's not how you treat a paying customer, they have no professionalism. Came in here to try something new. I ordered a steak torta. It was amazing! The food came out fast, tasted fresh and was brought out in a matter of minutes. They have a bunch of tvs you can watch on and even in the bathroom I thought was cool. I'll be back again! Let's put it this way, I've never met a taco I didn't like and could probably eat tacos everyday especially if I was eating at El Antojo. There Street tacos were over stuffed with meat, onions and cilantro with splash of salsa. They have great special 6 over stuffed tacos and a drink for $7.99. One hell of a bargain for some great tacos. The carnitas were crispy, chili toreado was nice and al dente and some nice heat to the adobado. You can't go wrong with this Burien treat. Went here with a buddy of mine! It used to be a hamburger place but they only do the tacos and other Mexican grub now. I was just in town to visit and he said we absolutely had to try the tacos here and the tacos did not disappoint! Super good flour tortillas surprisingly for street style tacos! Usually I only like the corn tortillas, but this place does it good! And i'm based out of California too where all the good tacos are! I will definitely come back when I'm in Seattle! Good place for Mexican. They do have a burger on the menu as well as pupusas (both i'll have to try the next time I go) VERY clean establishment and lots of menu options. The food itself is very good to excellent. They add on a bunch of options on the side such as radishes, peppers, limes, etc.. The only thing that would deter me from eating here often is the price point. Like I said, the quality is good to excellent, but at the same time seems that the portions are a bit on the small side for what they charge.
