This used to be my go to and thought it was a better quality fast food but then I tried Chipotle. Went to Taco Time after trying Chipotle and realized TT was over priced for the quality of food you get. Didnt realize how greasy it was and fairly flavorless. Taco Time is a bewildering place. Why is there a taco chain in the Pacific Northwest, an area not noted for its Mexican-American cuisine? Why do they serve tater tots, a side dish not normally associated with Latin cooking? Why does their Wallingford location look like a modern art museum? All these questions aside, the most important one is, why am I reviewing a fast food chain location? The answer is that I once parked in this location's parking lot, next to a dumpster, eating their mediocre fish tacos and staring at Mount Rainier with the love of my life. 1 hour to get through the drive-thru last night, literally. Not worth the price either. $30 for 2 soft burrito meals and 2 crisp burritos.

I waited in the drive thru for 35 minutes only for them to get my order wrong with an ingredient I'm allergic to, and I'd told them explicitly not to include it. Extremely disappointed in this location. read more

So it's a Taco Time. Very consistent fresh local food, great practices. This one in particular has awesome customer service. The folks here are just top notch. If you want Taco Time this is the one to go with. I always stick with the beef taco salad. It's just the thing I like here...there hot sauce is awesome! read more

Was totally surprised. We visited for the first time today. And wow this place was awesome. Not sure what we were expecting..another place like Taco Bell or something. But to our surprised it was nothing like TB. The food was excellent and very good quality much like a normal Mexican restaurant... I've been inside and through the drive thru a few times. My food order has always been correct and the level of service has been decent.

One star for the awesome drink machine. That may be the only reason I return. I've been here exactly four times. Three of those times my orders were incorrect. Tonight was no exception. The baja tacos are ridiculously bland. Beans and lettuce. That's a taco? If there was pico on it, I missed it completely. While my messed up order was being remade this evening, my Mexi fries were cooling in the bag, and room temperature, at best, by the time I received them. Ok, I might be back again, just so I can be entertained by the cashier telling me I get, "corn shells or whatever" with a baja taco. read more

It was fresher than Taco Bell, but had less flavor. It's unfortunate that most Americanized Mexican is devoid of the flavors of really awesome traditional Mexican. At least the hot sauce was hot. I had the sweet potato "mexi fries" which, let's be honest, are tater tots and should be called such (By the way, Putting "mexi" in front of something does not make it Mexican.) , started off tasty. Then as I continued to eat them they became overly sweet and nasty. I had to stop eating them. The Baja Tacos, with the addition of the hot sauce, were messy and fresh. The chicken was definitely real, unlike Taco Bell where you are not quite sure. However, without the hot sauce they were bland. While I appreciate the freshness I really wish they added some more spices. Overall it was okay. I won't choose Togo back there, but if someone really want to go back I could stand eating the food. read more

Stellar customer service! The staff here demonstrated excellent integrity, poise, and stellar customer service this afternoon. Someone inadvertently dropped my burrito, and instead of brushing it off and passing it off as untainted (we've all seen the videos and/or heard the horror stories of what happens at restaurants), they told me it was dropped and made a new one. I imagine it would be tempting to pretend the burrito was fine, especially given the long line of cars steadily getting longer behind me in the drive-thru, but they didn't. And although we would all like to expect this is the bare minimum of food service, it's not always the reality of good service. Then, on top of that, they gave me a free dessert to go with my meal. I expect that from fine dining where I am paying $15+ per plate, but not at a fast food restaurant where I am paying barely over $5 for my meal. All the while, the young man at the drive-thru window maintained his poise, calm, and efficient manner. I've worked in customer service before, and maintaining poise is harder than it looks. I'll definitely be going back, even though I'm trying to cut back on fast food. They exceeded my expectations for sure. Thanks Pacific Ave Taco Time staff! Our favorite Taco Time in town. Orders are always correct and the food is great! White chicken chili is thick and full of chicken. Several lower calorie items are on the menu. Love having the calorie count! Restaurant is clean and staff is always helpful and friendly. read more

ok, been putting off writing but tonight takes the cake. Went to the drive in to order at 9:30 tonight after confirming online that they were open until 10pm. The gal who welcomed me said that unfortunately they were closed. I asked her what time they closed and she said that today was Sunday so they close at 10:00. I told her it was only 9:30 but she said they really close at 9:30 and then clean up to be out of there by 10:00. What? I told her that I had confirmed before I even left my house but she said she was sorry and I'm sure she wasn't the one making the rules on that shift or even in the restaurant. I'm not sure what is going on at this place but something has changed in the past few months and not exactly for the better as earlier this year we were marveling on how good the mexi-fries were, perfectly golden brown and very fresh taste, like keeping their grease filtered and fresh. But in the past few months this has all changed and while raising their prices. the past 3 or 4 visits we came in with large orders including 4 - 6 large mexi-fries that were now almost up to $3 each. they were bad at best, the tots were broken pieces on top with a mound of settled grease sediment on the bottom of all the orders! It's like they don't change their grease at all anymore and what they are serving is the sediment from the fryers under the broken pieces at best. what is that all about? I don't know if this is a new owner or new manager or what but this just doesn't fly for us anymore including tonight's bs about closing time. If this is going to be the way they are going to operate this restaurant while raising prices, I don't think its going to go far. and I'm sure the 4 - 5 cars that came in behind me at the drive thru tonight will be feeling the same way. read more

I got a beef soft taco meal on my lunch break and ate about half of the taco when I noticed a dark hair sticking out of my taco! I have blonde hair so it definitely wasn't mine, and I pulled on the hair and it was cooked into the beef! Disgusting! I will never eat here again! read more
