I love this place! I've ordered take out twice and the foods always been great! Between here and Don Juan's, this is the only one of the two that has pollo la crema which is what I always order. The only thing I don't like is the little side coleslaw stuff. I believe they have a back deck that you can eat outside. Love the vibe here, staff is great! read more

I ordered chicken Fajitas. The service and staff were very friendly and our food came out fairly quickly. The chips served beforehand were warm and fresh the salsa and mushroom salsa was good. The main course however was not, in my opinion it wasn't the best. The best part was the garnish. Sour cream , guacamole and pico de gallo served with the meal. The meal was a different story. Again, this is my opinion so others may disagree but the chicken fajitas were cooked with a heavily salted tomato, red sauce. Yuck. I picked through as much chicken to eat and didn't eat any vegetables. The rice was flavorless and dry and the refried beans tasted like they came out of a can. I really was hoping this was going to be another one of our favorite places to go. We may go back and try a different dish someday. read more

Stopped here for lunch and was not disappointed. I had the quesa Burria taco special and my husband got fajitas. The meal started with chips and two kinds of salsa, one of which was an incredible mushroom salsa, a specialty of the house (they sell it to go!). I am not happy. I gave my phone number when I left our phone order. My husband went to pick it up. "Oh! We couldn't reach you!" Really? Our home landline number that no one was using? And we're both working from home? I got slop instead of Chile Colorado--someone dumped some cooked pork into the Colorado sauce and called it good. I cannot begin to tell you how disappointed I am. I might as well have gone to Taco Bell or Taco Time--at least my order would've been right. And you took $3 off the bill? For giving me a half portion of the wrong meat that wasn't cooked in the correct sauce? Thanks ever so for the world's most expensive meal of rice, beans, and tortillas. How fun! Called in my order for two fajitas and two margaritas for pick up. It read ready in less than 20 minutes. I had called to add a 3rd drink for a friend and it was no problem. The drinks werent made till I got there, so they were perfect and not at all melted. I didn't catch the young ladies name who answered the phone and made my drinks but she is absolutely a delight. this place is one of the worst places I've been, they got my order wrong then the worker was mad at me, their "chicken tenders" are just chicken pattys cut into four, and their thin. their rice is disgusting and nothing like you would imagine, food is super overpriced. 20$+ for a meal that makes you wanna throw up, cheapest is the kids menu and the whole menu is almost 10$, I would do one star but I can tell some workers are trying so I'm giving a two so I can be nice but this place is so bad. read more

We love Mexican food. Gene, our friend who is Mexican and lives in Tenino suggested Los Compadres as excellent authentic Mexican food. We had a wonderful dinner. We loved the Molcajete which was suggested by other yelpers. We will definitely be coming back even though it is a 45 min drive for us. read more

Customer service is a bore and the food just simply isn't that good but if you want a quick bite to eat this is the place to go.

When this restaurant took over, we were excited, and nervous. We have never been disappointed in the food. The salsa is great it has chopped fresh mushrooms. The thing we love so much is this amazing dish that we share because WHO COULD EAT it alone, it comes in a hot stone pot and has lots of shrimp, pork, carne asada, chicken skewers and CACTUS. Served with amazing tortillas, great beans and rice, it's a 10. It's called the "Molcajete" (a large pestle) filled with "Cielo, Mar, y Tierra" (Sky, Sea, and Land) meats drowned in a savory salsa verde. The pestle is filled with beef, chicken, pork, shrimp, and nopales in a very traditional green salsa. The nopales (Mexican cactus, same as the one on the flag) were a very rare surprise. We have tried it several times, never disappointed. Great Chili Releno too. read more

Six person table, stingy little bowls of salsa, some awful mushroom dip (that was apparently plentiful, as they brought this 2 to 1 of salsa, I did not know mushrooms were in abundance in Mexican cooking.) Taco dinner salad double price for what you receive; $10+ for over cooked tortilla bowl, greasy, flavorless beef, handful shredded lettuce, some salsa & sour cream. No cheese or tomatoes, olives or guacamole. Did come with bland ( could have come from a can), nasty, spoon full of refried beans on the side. One diner got one taco, worst ever. For the service, cost and taste, I can make much better at home myself. I have eaten at some great authentic and Tex-Mex restaurants, fast food drive throughs would be better than what you receive here. read more

I have eaten at this establishment a few different times now, the food has always been OK nothing spectacular about the place but you would get a decent meal for a decent price. However last night a friend and myself ordered fajitas to go. Mine was the steak fajita. My fajita vegetables were nearly raw and cut into such large chunks that they would not fit in the tortilla. The refried beans and rice tasted like they dumped a box of salt in it and after A few hours I spent the rest of the night vomiting and this morning I had severe diarrhea. read more

I come here with my son every now and then for a fun treat. It is by far his favorite place in Tenino. We try to mix it up, and everything we've had has been delicious. Last night- I was exhausted after a long day at the lab. I'd had a croissant early in the AM but nothing after. We got in around six and placed our order. Kiddo got the steak fajitas (bold choice!) and I got a small bowl of the chicken tortilla soup. We subbed in black beans for re-fried beans. We ate a lot of the mushroom salsa - it is SO good. Kiddo loved his, though he couldn't quite finish it (yay, leftovers!). My soup was perfect and amazing. The broth is so flavorful, peppery, savory and hot. The chicken, avocado, tortillas, cheese and veggies were all just right. It was a soup to warm the soul. read more
