Upon our entrance we were greeted immediately and shown to our seats with a wait time of about 2mins, they even accommodated our choice of seating outside. The atmosphere was very friendly and welcoming, they even had tiny mints that my daughter helped herself out to. The waitress was very sweet and even told us of the free appetizer for first time guests. Which I think is an amazing sale of a spot. We got the bourbon bacon and my goodness was it good. Seasoned thoroughly and just the right amount of sauce to meat ratio. My daughter enjoyed her French toast breakfast and I also enjoyed my bacon jam burger. It was delicious and very filling. Their local honey lemonade was my favorite of the day. They use no sugar so the honey works perfectly in balancing out the lemon. Their outside seating was also great, I'd recommend this when it's hot out though. I'd also like to note that a manager brought our food out to us, this shows that they ultimately value the customers and it's just great seeing managers getting involved just as well as their staff. All in all a good find in a tucked away location. I'd definitely recommend you try them out.

As a native Alabamian, I'm always up for some southern cooking. I was planning on this being as…read moresweet as Van promised! We really enjoyed our Saturday afternoon meal! It's a lovely restaurant. It seems a bit out of the way with mostly corporate buildings around. The restaurant has a nice modern aesthetic. I like the purple hyacinths hanging from the ceiling in one area. It was very steady for an off time in the afternoon. First, our server Olivia was amazing! Very attentive and we were extra needy this day so I really appreciate her patience. We even dropped food on the floor. Oops! She was so nice about it and cleaned it up immediately. We had customizations and extra requests. No problem for her! She went above and beyond. I hope she sees this because she was such a joy! The food was also very good. We started with the biscuits and one peach compote and one blueberry. Both were yummy. They were traditional drop biscuits and I love a good biscuit! We also had an order of fried green tomatoes on goat cheese grits. You get 4 very large slices. I could only eat one. The grits were yummy but there were not enough of them in relation to the friend green tomatoes. They were also encased by a sauce. I'm guessing a remoulade. I don't really care for remoulade sauce so I'd have removed it had I known it came with the dish. It really overpowered the goat cheese taste in the grits. The tomatoes were very al dente and I would have preferred them cooked a bit more. The dish was still good but my least favorite and I would normally love anything with those ingredients and fried green tomatoes are a favorite so the remoulade (or whatever it was) sauce was a real problem for me. I would definitely get them again without the sauce because they are great otherwise. But that sauce just overpowers every other flavor! I got the chicken tender dinner and others in my party got the bone in fried chicken. Everyone liked their chicken. The tenders were a big size. 4 of them but I hit 2 meals out of them. Everyone liked the Parmesan rosemary potatoes. I really liked the bacon green beans. The only side we weren't impressed with was the Mac and cheese unfortunately. The cheese was not good. We got coffees and a chai. All of them were very good. A bit pricey for the amount you get though. Even with the smaller complaints, I'd still give th a 5 because of the outstanding service and the dishes were overall very good and large portions. We will definitely return and I hope to try out a breakfast item next visit!
