Order: Mixed plate for lunch (about 20 minutes). Comes with two charbroiled chicken pieces, half order of grilled steak, rice, tortillas, grilled peppers and onions, salsas, and a cup of charro beans. Chicken: Juicy, smoky, seasoned so well it could compete with tandoori chicken--rare to find that level of flavor. Steak: Tender, flavorful, nicely grilled. Charro beans: Soupy, shockingly good, and well seasoned. Rice: Basic, plain, no real seasoning. Warm tortillas are a nice plus. Peppers & onions: Good flavor, but could be cut thinner and grilled longer. Lime: Small but perfect touch to brighten the meat and beans--attention to detail you rarely see in a food truck. Wish list: Bigger salsa cups without the extra charge, julienned peppers and onions, grilled longer for more flavor and easier eating. The vibe: This is a hidden gem--when Hispanic families and construction crews are making the trip just for this truck, you know it's solid. Gas station itself isn't busy, but the food truck draws a steady lunch crowd. A couple of benches outside, some eat in their cars, lots of carryout. Bottom line: Flavorful meats, generous portions, and thoughtful touches make this a standout. Easily one of the best food truck finds in KC.

I ordered the lobster tacos and they were impressive in both taste and presentation. I also ordered a cup of Clam Chowder which was served with oyster crackers. Served in a cute sack with their logo and story. I ordered on the app so it was ready to pick up when I wanted with no line or wait. Staff text you when your order is ready which is super convenient as you can wait in your car if you choose to not order ahead. You order points towards free shop items as you order their food. It's a win-win situation. Thanks for the great experience!

Honestly, I don't even know if they deserve that. Today, my mother and I planned to get a lobster flight. My mother is a native New Yorker who grew up catching her own seafood, and living on a farm in rural Buckner, MO, she rarely gets the opportunity to enjoy a good lobster roll. I drove three hours from St. Louis, refusing to stop even though my doctor has instructed me to stop every hour to help prevent blood clots, because my mom was so excited to try this food truck. For once, it was close to her house. Driving to Lee's Summit is a huge stretch for her, while even Costco in Independence is much more manageable. I got home around 12:20 p.m., and we immediately hopped in her car to head to the event, which was advertised as running from 11:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. We arrived around 12:50 p.m. only to be turned away because of the heat. We had just driven 30 minutes to get there, only to be dismissed because it was "too hot." Last week, in similar weather, the St. Louis truck had no issues operating and serving well over a hundred people during the food truck festival. I was almost in tears, and so was my mother. This was supposed to be a special treat for her. Personally, I feel like the heat was an excuse. My father owned and operated a food stand at the Missouri State Fair for years, smoking meat for over a week at a time and serving thousands of people. There was no food truck and no air conditioning. I am absolutely in favor of keeping people safe during extreme heat, but when you own and operate a food truck, hot weather is something you know you'll encounter. I also work a second job serving food and drinks out of a shed with nothing more than a fan for eight-hour shifts, and we don't close because of the heat. To make matters worse, the employee told us they had posted the closure online. There was nothing posted online.

This isn't my first time ordering from this place so I thought I'd make it official with a review…read more I usually get the same thing - the kansas rice bowl. It has all the things - steak, shrimp, chicken, onions, bell peppers, rice, jalapeños, shredded cheese and queso. It just hits the spot every single time. Hot and delicious as expected. The hard shell taco is a new item for me. The shredded beef wasn't my favorite and I think I would have enjoyed the ground beef option better so that's what I'll order the next time. The shell was really crunchy and that was my favorite part. The green and red salsas were okay. I was expecting some heat from the red sauce but there was none. I ordered via DoorDash this time but during my visits in the store, the service has been good. The ambiance was nice with colorful Mexican decor and the tunes to match. Would definitely recommend

Two of the three were after midnight and all three arrived hot, well prepared, and tasted delicious. Ordered the Birria Quesadilla which was stuffed with meat and cheese. Ordered pork tamales which claimed and did taste like they're made daily. Ordered a fish taco which tasted very fresh and was sizeable. Ordered a Fajita Mix of steak, shrimp, chicken, onions, bell peppers, and cheese which came with quac, rice, and refried beans. Again, everything ordered was very good. I'll be ordering often and more from their menu.
