This place is a heavily Mexican joint in the park hill section of the big Y.O. Upon walking in it's small but comfy. It's a late night taco stand that doesn't blow! I ordered the chicken and steak tacos. The chicken (el pollo) was tastier than the carnitas (cute up pieces of beef) also the cream and white cheese they drizzle on the top of the chopped lettuce adds Soo much rich flavor to the already delicious greasy meat. It's very good and CHEAPER than a barn full of baby chicks! Cheap- Cheap - but tasty. I'd recommend U stick with the chicken. Ohh and you also have a variety of Mexican sodas to choose from. I opted for the orange crush in the can. Topped off the meal perfectly. The food here tastes great but not worth everything else. They constantly mess up orders, I've had this happened when I call ahead to pick up, when I walk in to order & through delivery. Delivery also takes FOREVER, I waited almost 2 hours once for an order of steak nachos & chicken tacos & received steak tacos. Also, there have been multiple times where I'm waiting for my order & homeless people come in the store asking me for my money & none of the employees do anything about it. How could someone feel comfortable in that kind of environment? I understand that happening outside but not inside of a business. OH AND I SAVED THE BEST FOR LAST. The final straw for me was when I went to go pick up my food, as usual it was taking forever, in the midst of me standing there a COCKROACH WALKS RIGHT ACROSS THE COUNTER! I have to start by saying that their food is pretty good here and I have ordered numerous times in the past. I just can't get past the fact that they always take too long to deliver and it is NOT the delivery person's fault. Check this: I ordered 3 tacos and 3 taquitos plus fries at 5:22pm through GrubHub. Simple...one would think... At 5:55pm, I am called by them asking me if I would like "everything" on the tacos and I say yes. This is HALF HOUR after my order was made. Okay, I understand it is super bowl but they always pretty much take this long. Aside from that, the tacos are $3 each and the taquitos $2.50 each. If I had any sort of awareness that both are the SAME THING, I would have stuck with the taquitos. I assumed taquitos were hard shelled, not soft. That is $1.50 that could have gone to the delivery person. To top this off, the delivery person called for us to come downstairs instead of coming to our door as I personally asked in the notes section in the GrubHub app. I don't know if this is illegal to do but when I order Chinese, the delivery person comes straight to my door knocking. I live in a quiet cul-de-sac neighborhood so I don't see the problem and we have tons of available parking spots around.. My main thing is these 2 items and the different prices. My fiance and I quite literally ate the same tacos. I am disappointed mostly in this. Aside from that, they were good as they usually always are. So minus 2 stars for this issue. Their food was delicious and seemed to be prepared fresh. They roast their meats just the way I like it, extra crispy. I see a lot reviews complaining about wrong orders and poor customer service. If everything else in Yonkers is closed and you desperately need a meal then okay get the flavorless steak tacos and ask for extra cilantro and onions. Boom there goes your flavor. The salsa verde is nothing fantastic at all. The dorados which are usually four rolled fried corn tacos cut in half are okay if the sour cream and powder cheese is present along with it and avocado. Very poor delivery etiquette and customer service. I don't need delivery guys threatening with running off with my order so I won't be ordering from here again! When the delivery guy arrived, he called my phone multiple times. When I noticed the missed calls, I called back and discovered that it was the delivery guy attempting to reach me to ask me to come down to pick up the order. As I am making my way out, he walks up to meet me at the entryway to inform me that he tried to call me multiple times, that it appeared that my phone was off, and that had I taken any longer he would've left with my food and I would've lost my order. Excuse me?! When I told him that he could've rang me on the intercom instead of calling my phone, he advised me that his boss tells him that the customers have to come out to pick up their delivery. But at what point do you make a judgment call and decide that it makes better sense to ring the intercom as all other delivery guys do, and since that is what people are normally expecting when they place delivery orders anyway? First time ever experiencing this nonsense. Had I not already paid for my order I would've sent him back with everything. I wish I would've read other reviews before placing my order because apparently I am not the first person to experience this BS with this place. I found out the following day that they tried emailing me as well. I just don't understand why they would choose email and phone as the manner of letting me know the delivery guy was here when he was standing RIGHT IN FRONT OF THE INTERCOM! I ordered one tremendously rainy Friday at 8pm while I was still at my baby sitting job. Super hungry, not wanting to eat kiddie food nor take all 3 kids out in the rain so late at night, I awaited anxiously for my chicken burrito. Mouth watering, and almost able to smell my favorite Mexican dish, I got a call from them about an item they didn't have available. Simple problem fixed, I didn't mind when I looked at the clock and it was already 8:45. Tick, tock, tick, tock.. 9pm Tick..... Tock..... Tick.... Is time going slower or something? Where's my food? 9:45 it is. Still, where's my food? I call and ask what's going on. "The guy left a couple minutes ago, give him 5-10 minutes." UGHHH really? 10:30 rolled in hungrily and I ended up cancelling my order. Why it took over two hours remains a mystery but I know for sure that I won't be ordering from them ever again. I disagree with all the prior reviews because you must think of this place as a steady food truck, not fancy, loose with the service but GREAT food (with capital letters) and cheap for the size of portions. So if you cannot deal with waiting and/or almost un existent table service, then this is NOT your place; but if you can pass/overlook that, you will realize this is like a diamond in a rough. Best little hole in the wall Authentic Mexican spot in Yonkers by far! The Tacos are jammed packed with flavor! Hubby loves their 'al Pastor' taco which is pork with pieces of grilled pineapple! I've heard good things about this place since it's the closest Mexican restaurant near me, so I had to try it for the first time. Apparently, this place sucks. I ordered Tacos and a Torta and the quality was horrible. Looked like throw up on a tortilla. My torta's bread was soggy and the cheese wasn't equivalent to the cheese you would normally get on it. Service was horrible. The delivery guy asked me to come down because his car was double parked mind you there were two other delivery guys in there (maybe there license were suspended). I'm all about 2nd chances. So when my sister had a bad experience with taco mex because the delivery guy got.lost (for 3 hours?) and she had to cancel her.order, I thought let's try again, maybe they got a new delivery guy. We had ordered from them before and the food was yummy, so why not? We ordered, took 45 minutes, which is average for our area. So we ordered yet again tonight, took 2 flippin hours!! What the eff?! We are never ordering from them again. Period. When we hit the 2 hour mark, I made the decision that we are not giving a tip. What the hell would I be tipping for? In 2 hours I could have killed the chicken, and made my tacos myself! So when the guy gave me my cash and said in a nasty tone "no tip?" , in Spanish I told him he took way too long to even deserve a tip. Caso cerrado! Next time I'll go to the LES and get tacos from my favorite truck, id make it there and back in less time than id be waiting for these guys. read more

LONG BUT WORTH READING I PROMISE!! DO NOT ORDER FROM HERE EVER! Let's start from the beginning.. We decided to order late night food around 10ish and this was the only place open and EVEN THOUGH IT ALREADY HAS HORRIBLE REVIEWS I tried to be optimistic and find out for myself (won't do that again). 1. We waited forever food never came, I tried calling, no answer, we ended up snacking thinking it wasn't coming at all 2 HOURS LATER the delivery guy calls didn't speak any English at all, it was a nightmare trying to direct him to where we were.. So now it's like after 12.. We didn't plan on eating this late but whatever then we realized we never got any of our drinks.. And I know it sounds bad but at the moment we didn't have any drinks (really needed to go food shopping hence why we got delivery!) so we couldn't eat without any drinks, especially for the fact that we got charged for them. I kept calling no answer. I called the delivery guy and he said he doesn't understand me and that it's not his problem bc he didn't pack it.. Seriously?.. Finally I get in contact with them and they said they didn't send them bc they ran out of the drinks we had ordered.. BUT YOU CHARGED ME FOR THEM ANYWAYS!? normal places would either call you and give you other options or deliver with the drink price deducted. They actually had the nerve to charge me knowing they ran out. So we told them to bring us just soda but how long? It's already late. They say 15 mins, ok we could wait. Another hour passes.. Finally got the sodas, so it's after 1am when we finally can eat. Had to now heat up the cold soggy food and the food was so spicy and covered in an insane amount of cilantro it wasn't even edible!!!!!! Like when I say spicy I mean we were choking and crying, tears down our faces, after one bite. AND WE LIKE SPICY.. It literally was not edible. We had to just throw it all out.. Total waste. NEVER AGAIN. And their order of guacamole was like $7 and was literally the size of one of those tiny side sauce containers.. And it was the most disgusting guac I've ever had and I love guac. All I have to say is I have never written a review for anything before, I can barely respond to text messages, I just don't take the time. But this take out experience made me do it! I was looking for late night take out, feeling very tired of Chinese or pizza but living in Yonkers I figured those were the only options. I was scrolling through Yelp & GrubHub and I noticed a few Mexican places that deliver. Sounded great to me! I must have called 2 or 3 places who informed me that they do deliver but apparently don't accept debit cards on delivery orders (as far as I could see, this was not specified on either Yelp or GrubHub, their descriptions said they took cards). As you can imagine my hunger was growing and my patience starting to wear thin. That's when I found this place. It was super simple to order via GrubHub, they took my card and when I called them just to confirm, I mentioned I forgot to add a soda to the order, the man on the phone told me he would send it and I could just pay cash for it, but I had no cash on me. I asked him how much thinking I would scrape up some change and he told me happily that It was on the house! The delivery came in way shorter than the estimated time (I want to say it got here in like 20-25 mins) and the food was excellent . Fresh and authentic. I am no super foodie and I don't eat Mexican all that often but there is no way anyone could call this bad. All & all I must say I was pleasantly surprised, and the interactions with the owner/employees were very nice. You could tell they were happy to have your business and they will certainly be getting mine again! read more
