This was my first time at this restaurant and I loved it! They had several specials so I tried the Chicken Milanesa Torta for $7.99 and a Mahi Mahi taco roughly $2. The atmosphere is super welcoming and it seems like a sit down restaurant but you pay upfront when you order your food. They have a salsa bar with some unique salsa's like avocado mild salsa! It's a unique restaurant because of the desserts and tacos offered as well as the salsa bar so I would go again and recommend it to anyone! read more

EXPENSIVE! I love Mexican food, and these tacos are good, yet one PLAIN taco is about $2.70, want cilantro and onion, .50 more PER taco, want lettuce and cheese too, another .50 PER taco. I ended up spending almost $5.00 for 1 taco, my order of two tacos and an horchata came out to $13.00. My father wanted a diet coke, but the machine was out, then he said he will get a fanta, that's out too. so annoying, no signs were put on the broken soda fountains. Plus the woman who took our order DID not speak spanish, my uncle who only speaks spanish could not order tacos in a MEXICAN restaurant. which is slightly confusing. Worst customer service I have ever experienced!! And this was from their supposed manager? They need to reconsider who they have managing up front ! Drove 25 minutes for some tacos and I ordered over the phone, spoke with a nice gentleman!(he knew customer service) I specifically asked for no onion on my tacos and once arriving home I was very disappointed to see they had onions ! I decided to call since I did pay for the food it wasn't free and neither was the drive ! This time a lady answered or a young girl, once letting her know my order was wrong she became instantly rude, she stated I was wrong and I didn't order correctly so I asked her to put the gentleman on the phone so he could clarify my order but she refused and was still very rude ! I asked to speak with the manager because we were not getting anywhere and she stated I could come back and bring the food, I told her she has got to be joking, I had just left work and was not going to drive 25 minutes back and 25 to get home again I offered to take pictures to take back when I go again and she insisted that was not an option, I told her she needs to work on her customer service if she's the manager and she kept trying to get the last word in a very rude way as if I was trying to even argue with her. I was simply a PAYING customer who wasn't satisfied because the restaurant made my order incorrectly and I drove to their location and called to get a solution or credit and the manager who refused to give me her name couldn't simply do her job or give great customer service to someone they just got their order wrong. Very unhappy with our first (and last) experience with this restaurant. Our order wasn't ready when promised... they didn't even start making it until well after the promised time. All in all it wasn't ready until nearly 40 minutes after it was supposed to be. My husband asked for his money back and said that we would just get food elsewhere, he was blown off with "it will just be another minute" multiple times instead of being refunded. Then they got the order wrong so it was more time spent waiting while they remade the item they messed up. And to top it all off, upon getting home we realized about $10 worth of food we ordered was also missing. read more

Very disappointed and will not be back after our experience here tonight (12/23/18) Placed our dinner order and went to pick it up, upon returning home we find our Chimichanga Dinner was just a Chimichanga only. I called immediately spoke with a young lady who argued we didn't order the dinner and weren't charged, however, myself and my son heard my daughter on phone order the "dinner" and yes we were charged although the young lady said we weren't . Disrespectful to say the least and I would like to add my husband also stated the place was dirty, messy tables and it wasn't even busy so what's up Taco Madre? What happened? This place is awesome!! I come here all the time while my mom is teaching a class at corepower yoga around the corner, and they never disappoint. All of the staff is very friendly and welcoming. The food is very good and I love the piña coladas and horchatas. I usually do my schoolwork there and they have free wifi and it is not too loud so it is a perfect spot. We walked into this place because it's super close to where we live. The only thing better than the food was the service---they were going out of their way to make sure their guests were having an enjoyable dining experience. From the moment we walked in the door, they were bending over backwards for us, handing us menus while we waited. Good Mexican food and close but not quite completely authentic. I believe that's to cater to some of the more regular Taco Bell palettes. But it is indeed good enough. They are quick to serve and very clean. They have a back room for parties and a bar for different flavored/heat sauces and toppings. My entire family loves Taco Madre! We are there probably too much! We can't get enough. The steak they use for the burrito is amazing...I don't know if they marinate it or what but it is tender and yummy! The specialty tacos are always so good no matter which you choose. 3.5 stars Nice restaurant with good service. The staff are helpful and friendly. The restaurant is clean and presentable. The interiors are modern and trendy. The food is good too. The tacos and salsa taste great. That said, I won't eat the salsa anymore. I noticed it has oil in it, which is unhealthy if I were to eat here often. They probably have oil as an ingredient for keeping it warm, but I'm just not a fan. Couldn't tell if the cold salsas have oil in them (would be gross and unnecessary). So I thought this restaurant would be a hipster fusion joint. But I was pleasantly surprised when I tasted the tacos. They were phenomenal. Was there first time with a friend. We both ordered 3 tacos plate and a side of guac and I also ordered Pina colada non alcoholic. Food was excellent. The mahi mahi was a bit dry overcooked. The blackened shrimp, chilli relleno and Mayan all were excellent. They serve free chips and salsa and the salsa was so fresh and delicious . We tried all the salsas from the salsa bar and peppers and all were so tasty. Pina colada was yummy and we get free refills. Service was excellent and the ambient is very good. This restaurant is located in the former location of Katy's Dumpling House. The atmosphere is bright, vibrant, and colorful. The staff were constantly keeping the tables and floors clean so that was a plus. The staff was also attentive and helpful from the moment we walked in to the time we finished our meal and walked out. My wife ordered the Al Pastor Burrito dinner while I ordered the Chilango Torta dinner. Free chips and salsa when dining in is also another plus. The food came promptly and while it did not look to be filling, there was more than enough food to request a box for leftovers. Did they sell this place? We used to come here all the time because everything tasted so fresh. The food was terrible tonight. Old and cold. We didn't even eat it for fear it was spoiled. The staff used to be awesome. They looked at us like we were crazy and didn't even care. So sad! This was one of our favorite spots. They used to bring the food to the table. Great tacos!! Had the shrimp taco with Chipotle mayo sauce, lettuce, pico de gallo & avocado. Very good. Also had the Special., the blackened shrimp taco wow this was extremely good. I've had tacos similar before but always had to pay twice or 3's what I paid here. Place is new with plenty of parking. We have been going to Taco Madre at this location since it opened last year. The food is normally fresh and tasty. Tonight's family dinner was not the case. The tamales were awfully dry and tasteless. Our chicken tacos were dry and hard. Not sure what happened but hopefully it was just a fluke. read more
