    Quesabirria

Came for the quesabirria tacos and have been craving the guacamole ever since. I brought my parents here because describing quesabirria just wasn't enough, they had to try it. The tacos were delicious, generous portions, but then my dad say they have Caldo on the menu so he had to try that too. I decided I wanted guacamole after we ate the entire basket of chips within 3 minutes of getting there. Sorry no photo of the guacamole even though the presentation was beautiful, because everyone dug right in. The perfect amount of chunky avocado to salsa ratio. Needless to say we all left stuffed and happy.

We go here at least a couple of times a week for the friendly service and great tacos/quesadillas. Maria always has a quick smile and some friendly words for us every time we come in. My husband LOVES her Lime Margaritas and they are very economically priced for what you get. I love the steak quesadilla because you get plenty tasty steak and guacamole, sour cream and salsa. My husband is a steak taco guy, but I got him to try the steak fajita tacos and he's hooked. Elias (I hope I got his name correct) is always friendly and moving at the speed of light. Just love this place!

Do not get the veggie tacos. It's the same price as a meat taco except you get almost nothing. There are some onions, peppers, zucchini and maybe a tomato. Ridiculous pricing!

When someone mentions tacos, I immediately think of Taco Dále. I'm a die-hard fan of their three-taco special, especially the steak tacos . And don't forget the rice (minus the beans )! The portions are so generous I can never finish it all, but hey, no complaints there. Definitely the best I've had yet. Catch you on the next taco run! #Yelp

Very well kept restaurant! The manager was so nice and made us the most amazing strawberry margaritas. I had the steak taco plate and everything tasted so fresh. Not sure where they get their steak from but it was sooooo good. They also have a cute patio with string lights. Thankfully it's near my house so I will be back frequently.

We ordered from here using Door Dash and wasn't sure what to expect but we were pleasantly surprised how delicious everything was! The vegetarian burrito dinner was HUGE and very tasty! There was a lot of sour cream in it so you SC lovers will be in heaven lol - next time I'd have it on the side. The chile relleno was super tasty and the portion was huge. My boyfriend ordered steak tacos which he said the meat was delicious but he'd like to go back in person to enjoy next time. Me too but to try their margs!

Street tacos were okay. I ordered asada, shrimp, and pastor tacos with cilantro and onion. I didn't really taste a lot of flavor. Was the lemonade a country time mix? It's near my job but... eh.

Had the carne asada taco dinner, meat seasoned to perfection and the beans and rice were an excellent compliment.

La Sierra was approximately a 35-minute drive from our home in the western suburbs. We arrived at approximately 8:30 AM. As we drove up my wingman John commented that he would not have come into this neighborhood or restaurant if I was not with him. Yes, the neighborhood was a bit rough (I grew up in Pilsen in the 1960's) but to me it felt like home in Chicago. We walked in and were warmly greeted by the hostess and waitress and told to sit-down anywhere we wanted. We chose a booth in the second room of the restaurant; the walls were covered with photos of Mexico and the smell coming from the kitchen was heaven. Our waitress quickly approached us for our drink order, she mentioned that they had Cafe de la Olla (made with piloncillo-unrefined whole cane sugar from Latin America, and cinnamon sticks) which we both ordered. The coffee arrived in a colorful Mexican traditional mug (just the way my mother used to make me). It was delicious! We then ordered our breakfast, which was Mexican Chilaquiles (a traditional, comforting breakfast dish consisting of crispy tortilla chips simmered in red or green salsa until slightly softened) with eggs, meat & refired beans. We were both in "Heaven", the tortilla chips were perfectly cooked with just enough "Crisp" to them. Just the way my mother used to make me on a weekend morning. My wingman & I both agreed that we will be returning and bringing our fellow foodies with us to try the other dishes offered!

There was a line when we got there (around noon) which I feel is usually a sign of tasty food. The tortilla chips were so yummy with a flavorful seasoning and delicious salsa. The parking looks awful until you spy the public lot just one storefront away. The interior is simple, which I prefer. Some cute knickknacks but not too much. The menu is the traditional Mexican fare, tacos, burritos, fajitas, plates, etc. Everyone should be able to find something to please them. The waitress was so sweet and helpful. They were doing a lot of take out orders and had my party and another couple dining in. She did great making sure we all had what we needed. We all started talking to one another so felt like dinner with a bunch of friends. My friends had the steak tacos and the Americano plate. Both really liked their items. The tacos were well filled and the meat tender and juicy. The plate had lots of steak on it as well as rice, beans, tortillas, etc. The sauce was a tad spicy but not overpowering for my non-spice liking friend. The star of the night was the Crazy Burrito. Massive burrito filled with shrimp, steak, fries, rice, guac and more. And when I say massive, I mean MASSIVE. Everything inside somehow all went together incredibly well. But each bite was different depending on what the ratio of the items was. Probably 1 of the top 3 burritos I've ever had. The steak, meat and shrimp were all perfectly cooked. Will definitely go back next time in Chicago.

The restaurant was clean, quiet, the bathrooms were clean, the cashier so sweet and patient--I couldn't ask for more! We ordered a asada burrito dinner, a chorizo burrito, and a large horchata to split. We were given a basket of chips and a delicious salsa that had flavor, but wasn't too spicy! The burritos were generously filled and had avocado! That's not something I see everywhere. The beans were a great consistency, the rice was soft and flavorful, and the horchata was top notch! It had a unique flavor, too, and wasn't watery. The cup also wasn't overfilled with ice! While we were patiently waiting for the burritos, we fell victim to the slideshow and decided we just had to try a gordita lol. It was SO good, but the portions were so filling we had to take the rest of the gordita and part of a burrito with. The tomatillo sauce was perfect and the red sauce had quite a kick to it, but not enough that it was painful. The food didn't NEED any extra sauce, but I like to try them, anyways! I wished I lived in this area so I could eat more gorditas, but I will definitely stop here again if I am around! If you're lucky enough to live in the area, please do support this sweet business!
