I've been meaning to review Taco Dále since 2018 but I always forget to take pictures to add to my review. My family and I probably have Taco Dále at least 3-4 times a month. We either make the hour round trip to pick up, or we'll look the other way and pay the up charge to have it delivered via Uber Eats-- it's that good. We have had everything from their tacos, flautas, tamales, caldo, burritos, quesabirria, chile relleno, potato tacos, you name it--we've had it and it's all been incredible. The chips and salsa are a must, we always joke about wanting to drink it lol and their salsa verde and red sauce as just as great. Their horchata is some of the best around in my opinion as well! We stop in for lunch so often that Maria (who is awesome) knows our lunch orders by heart. We are so excited to have an Oswego location opening up soon, but when we're in the Naperville area we will still continue to stop in and eat here because we love the staff so much. Taco Dále has turned our family into Mexican food 'snobs'. Nothing compares to this place, it's the most authentic and best tasting place we've tried, and we've tried many which is why we don't mind the drive or paying extra for delivery. Came for the quesabirria tacos and have been craving the guacamole ever since. I brought my parents here because describing quesabirria just wasn't enough, they had to try it. The tacos were delicious, generous portions, but then my dad say they have Caldo on the menu so he had to try that too. I decided I wanted guacamole after we ate the entire basket of chips within 3 minutes of getting there. We go here at least a couple of times a week for the friendly service and great tacos/quesadillas. Maria always has a quick smile and some friendly words for us every time we come in. My husband LOVES her Lime Margaritas and they are very economically priced for what you get. I love the steak quesadilla because you get plenty tasty steak and guacamole, sour cream and salsa. My husband is a steak taco guy, but I got him to try the steak fajita tacos and he's hooked. Elias (I hope I got his name correct) is always friendly and moving at the speed of light. Nice new updated restaurant great for a group since you can each order and pay individually and then sit to eat kind of like Paneras. Plenty of tables and booths for all size crowds. A little confusing finding it from the street, best way seems to be to go from rt 59 but worth it. We have a great first meal at Taco Dale a few weeks ago. Ordered the Taco dinner of Al pastor, carne asada with an horchata drink. This past week we went again and were disappointed by the rice and beans. They were bland and needed some seasoning and salt. Very well kept restaurant! The manager was so nice and made us the most amazing strawberry margaritas. I had the steak taco plate and everything tasted so fresh. Kind of disappointed. The taco Dále in Lisle is way better. There's definitely a difference in the quality and freshness of the food. Rice tasted a bit old. Even the chips were stale. The salsa wasn't the same as the Lisle location. The Paloma was not a true Paloma. The taco was the only thing that was decent. Went back today to redeem by $30 voucher and first thing cashier says is "you again" ! Not a very happy welcome but was very pleasant over the phone. Total came out to 35.99, she asked if i was paying cash for some reason and proceeded to ask for 5.99. I asked her to put the voucher in because the company is responsible for the taxes not the customer! She hit button which infact reduced the total to 2.99 and she gave me 14 dollars back on the 20 I gave her. Questioned it and she said nooooo we don't do the taxes. In no mood to argue at that point I said you can keep it but very dishonest way to do business and will follow up with a review today and a phone call tomorrow with manager. I got a steak burrito from here. It says the steak is charred steak but I didn't really taste that. There was not very much steak and the entire bottom half of the burrito had no meat so I only ate half of it. It wasn't nasty or good. Just felt a bit cheated for spending that money on something that wasn't great. I use to work really close by and ordered them at least once a week and it was delicious. I also wanted to add that the flour tortilla clearly wasn't cooked at all so it was a dry and kind of hard texture. Nothing soft about the burrito. We were out shopping and didn't want to stop and ruin the shop till you drop vibe but we were starving and a drive thru wouldn't cut it but both agreed a quick taco or quesadilla would hit the spot. Our initial thought or plan was (as it usually is) was to just get it to go and eat in the car and keep shopping.... we went in and ordered a cheese quesadilla and a steak quesadilla I asked if they could cut them in half (so we could split them) to let us each try both. They come with pico, guac, and crema. We didn't get the pico - just guac and crema. The girl was easily accommodating. As we were waiting for the order we quickly realized it may be greasy and we should probably stay and just eat it there. Once we got the order we told them we were going to stay and Christian was extremely accommodating and kind - he brought us chips, salsa, hot and mild sauce and drinks since we weren't going to initially stay. He also kept checking on us to see if we needed anything as well.s Christian was also very kind and friendly to the other patrons that came in as well. The menu is abundantly full, there is something for everyone and the menu can be easily accommodating if needed. The ladies were very kind as well (I didn't get any names though I'm sorry). Your jobs are provided by the patrons ordering there. Food is good, but the food is also good AND so is the service at the Taco Dále in Lisle. Very solid Mexican food. Service is quick. They bring chips to table after you've order at the front counter. Very friendly people. Clean & comfortable atmosphere. They also have a nice patio to eat outside. The prices are a little high in my estimation, but obviously not too high as I've been several times for lunch in the last few months. This is an update to my previous review. I wanted to pass on the word that this restaurant does a very good job with following the CDC guidelines. Their employees are wearing masks, they have the plexiglass shield at the cashier. Customers are very aware of the social distancing and practice it. But we've been exploring various places since we moved to this area, and we just happened to shopping near Taco Dále when the lunchtime hunger pangs struck. To some extent, upon entrance, one might get Qdoba or Chipotle vibes from the set up, but this restaurant has much more to offer than your typical fast casual establishment. Off top, you'll notice that the menu is much more extensive. I knew pretty quickly that if we liked the food, then we'd have to return because there was so much to offer. And as luck would have it, we loved our food. I got a torta, and it was probably one of the best ones I've ever had, full of tasty, flavorful beef. It's a good thing that I don't live right around the corner from this restaurant because I probably would have gotten that sandwich at least ten times by now if I did. One extra nice bonus that we didn't expect going in is that you also get free chips and salsa. That is extremely handy perk on top of what was already a delicious meal. read more

I called them, and they started giving me an attitude for no reason, even though I told them many times I'm deaf, and please be patient with me, but they kept interpreting me. They had no apologies or anything. Disappointed in how they dealt with that. The beans tasted like they came from a can. I ordered chicken tortas, but they gave me steak tortas instead. 24 cents. This is the price that this restaurant is willing to lose customers for life over. My wife and I have come to this place a few times, usually for take out. In fact, we had just gotten food here shortly before. This time, we stepped up to the counter to place our order. I noticed the employee at the front was not making eye contact with us and was staring at the floor instead. When I was able to order, I also asked for one small drink. I had to repeat the whole order at least three times and was originally rung up for two drinks, which I nearly paid for. All good, I didn't complain. At the drink area, I filled the cup with a white drink that was located near the other beverages. I had never tried it before, and later learned this was horchata. We took our seats and after about 10 mins, our food was brought out. Another 15 mins passed and we were enjoying our food and conversation. At this point, one of the employees returned to our table. "You ordered a fountain drink?" I confirmed that I ordered a "drink". "Fountain drinks and horchata are not the same, two separate things, in separate containers. They are different prices and we ask which one." This unexpected part of our meal got served up with a big ol' helping of attitude, too, as if this was done intentionally--it wasn't. Seriously? First of all, nobody asked which kind when I ordered a "drink". There was no followup question. The employee taking our order never even looked us in the eyes. They just handed me a cup. Second, the soda and the other drinks are all dispensed from "fountains". Lastly, nobody said anything when I filled it up and there is no sign posted in that area. What's more unsettling is that I was obviously being watched. Why, to see if I was counting cards? That is incredibly weird. This is the moment where something could have been said, not 30 mins into our meal and rudely interrupting us. I work in customer service, and that is unacceptable. If this distinction is so critical, put up a freaking sign in the back. FYI, the inside of the restaurant smells like Shaquille O'Neal crop dusted the dining room. I went in the bathroom and there was diarrhea in the toilet. Perhaps these issues should be addressed instead of making the sequel to "Get the Gringo". On my last visit, I also left a $5.00 tip at the register on a $15 order. Since the accountants here are working overtime, that's 33%. I've tipped on many other orders as well. Not to mention that each time we have dined in there, we have cleaned our plates and trays ourselves to try to help out. Most customers just leave it for the staff. Oh well, I guess that's the thanks we get. Never again. I found out the price difference is $0.24 as of this posting. I wasn't even planning on getting a refill. I hope it was worth it to have us never come back again, to tell friends and family, and for this to get posted. At least, the house is still up $4.76. read more
