During my trip, I was craving some carne asada fries and was lucky enough to stumble upon Taco Libre on a Yelp search! I am so thankful that I did!! I ordered the carne asada fries as an entree, and they were to die for! The carne asada was perfectly cooked. The fries were perfectly crisp, guacamole was delicious, and all of the elements worked together so well. Ever since I came back from LA, I thought that I would never be able to find good, authentic carne asada fries again, and I am so lucky that Taco Libre was able to match that quality! read more

So I'm a big fan of Taco Libre and I'm picky about my Tex Mex food as someone who lived in Texas for 5 years. The first time I went, I had a chicken quesadilla and sangria. It was so good! The chicken was tender and seasoned. And the chips and salsa were a winner. When I went Friday for lunch, I brought my coworkers. I got two shrimp tacos and a margarita. I haven't had anything there that I didn't like. Did I mention drinks are 2-for-1 all the time?! I think this is a hidden gem in a shopping plaza. You should def check it out. read more

I give this place a 3.5, but my wife insisted on giving them a 4. Good service, nice decor and ambiance, average food, good portion. Good salsa, too. We ordered the sriracha shrimp taco, veggie taco, vegetarian quesadilla, and the dinner combo with one crunchy taco + 2 beef enchiladas + side of fries. Vegetarian quesadilla (4/5) sriracha shrimp tacos (3.5/5) veggie taco (3/5) crunchy taco (3/5) beef enchiladas (1/5) Vegetarian quesadilla was cheesy and delicious, but too greasy. Sriracha shrimp tacos were not very spicy and I didn't taste much sriracha. I ended up adding hot sauce on top to make it more spicy. Veggie tacos tasted bland. Beef enchiladas were soggy and tasted even more bland than the veggie tacos. I wasn't impressed by their food, but my wife enjoyed it. We might come back again when we're in the area. read more

The only meal deal that is on par with Taco Tuesday is Burrito Monday at Taco Libre. Great tasting food and top level service. It is a must visit every time I am in town. read more

After seeing one of Taco Libre's burritos on Instagram, I was convinced I needed to get there right then and there. The actual experience let me down. I ordered the West Coast burrito (countless positive Yelp reviews), and got my order to go, and couldn't wait to dig in once I got home. I started with the complimentary chips and salsa, and was pleased to find another serving of chips and queso inside the box. Now this might be their redeeming quality. The queso was phenomenal. Delicious. Mouth watering. Digging into the burrito wasn't a bad experience, but it wasn't the best either. Somewhere in-between, and I had higher expectations. Other reviewers do a good job of explaining what's in it, and it seems like it should be God's gift to us, but alas. All in all, I would come back and try their tacos or other items on their menu, but I wouldn't set the bar so high. read more

What a great place to grab some tacos. I ordered the Surf and Turf, Ceviche, shrimp and fish tacos. I ordered them without the sauce and they were amazing. Will definitely go back and try the others. One of my co-workers ordered a burrito and it was massive. Food portions are good and will fill you up. read more

Impressed. They have horchata! Had to do a double take and make sure I heard them right. A place is pretty legit to me if they serve horchata regardless of the quality. This one was one of the better ones too. Plus when there is a table of Mexicans sitting nearby always makes me feel better. I love this spot for lunch. The taco Tuesday deals brought me in but the excellent customer service brings me back. There is patio and indoor seating and I never have to wait to be seated. The food comes out quick and it's always delicious. I had the carnitas, sirracha shrimp, and the fiery fish tacos this time, but I enjoy trying new ones each time. I didn't drink a margarita ( because I was on my lunch break) but I know they have drink deals and happy hour as well. read more

It's hard to find a good taco place that doesn't taste "Americanized", this place has amazing tacos , my personal favorite was the steak taco Mexican style with the corn tortilla. The guacamole was also amazing! Very friendly staff and the staff all had masks on :) read more

We've gotten takeout from them several times recently and all I can say is "Where are the refried beans?" I always order the taco salad and Beef and Bean tostadas. Taco salad is supposed to be Beef and Bean but they've been super skimpy on the beans. Tostadas are supposed to be Beef and Bean as well, and there are ZERO BEANS. Just plain beef. With very little cheese. I have no idea what the issue is or why they're so stingy with the beans, but it's disappointing. read more

Being Mexican, I can tell y'all that this place is the real deal! the only downside is that there's not much ambiance, but the food is delicious and the prices are excellent. Their sangria is one of the best I've had, and they always have two for one specials. My husband thinks it's the best Mexican restaurant in town. The Mexican street corn is delish! Really cool little taco shop. They have a wide variety of street style tacos, I had the ground beef tacos and they were really delicious. Small but good selection of Mexican beers and very reasonable prices. If you're in the area and in the mood for Mexican food, definitely give it a shot. You won't be disappointed! read more

Great find for some happy hour drinks and tacos. It was a Taco Tuesday, and I had a hankering for margaritas and tacos without all the fluff. Taco Libre is your go-to casual dining experience. They have Lucha Libre paintings all throughout the restaurant, including some WWE wrestlers. They also have some mini statues of wrestlers which make the entire dining experience special. Lol. Anyway, they keep it simple here. Their menu isn't the most exhaustive, which is great because sometimes you just have to go for quality over quantity. They do participate in Taco Tuesday specials, and that's exactly why my boyfriend and I decided to come check this place out. $2.50 per taco and $2.99 per specialty taco. You can basically stuff your face for $10.00. The chips and salsa kept flowing and the drinks were BOGO. So naturally, I stuffed my face. I ordered my usual fair if carnitas, chorizo, and al pastor. All were tasty for the most part. The chorizo was a little on the dry side, but it's automatically fixed with a hefty serving of salsa on top. My boyfriend decided to go for a specialty taco (Mr. Potato which comes with chorizo, potatoes, and scrambled eggs) and a lengua huaraches. Both were excellent, particularly the huaraches by just how filling it was. I totally recommend trying this place out. It doesn't look like much from the outside, but this place definitely delivers. read more

Two dishes that get 5 stars are the Fajita Burrito and the Steak Quesadilla. The Steak Quesadilla was the best I've ever had. Juicy thick and tender steak strips with fried cheese inside! The Fajita Burrito is stuffed with shrimp, chicken and the same delicious steak strips. My wife wondered how they make money with all the shrimp that was in it! The queso sauce and fajita sauce poured over it and the guacamole on top make it super juicy. Also our server was super attentive and detail oriented. This experience will have me coming back for more buy one get one free margaritas. read more

The service and food is outstanding! Clearly not microwaved, and made fresh. Speaking of fresh, if you happen to be there on a weekend, you must order an off-menu item, tamales! They have chicken and pork, and these are the real deal folks. They come to you freshly steamed in a banana leaf. The first place locally where I've found them not to be served covered in some nasty chili. Their enchiladas are also the real deal using soft corn tortillas with a red sauce. They are lightly covered and not swimming in it. Their tacos are in a variety, and we only tried two of them. Steak and shredded chicken. Each were very well received by my picky eaters. We also ordered retried beans and rice. I could have ordered pints of it! So good! Give them a try if you have not been. You will not be sorry you did! Oh, and if you have to wait for the tamales, it's worth it! read more

Why spend a lot of money eating at an establishment that doesn't enhance the experience? The food also was flavorful and the passion fruit margaritas was superb. I love margaritas but hate it when it's made with a pre-made mix. (It should be a crime.) Barteco uses high quality tequila and freshly squeezed juice that way a margarita should be made. For the food, I got 3 tacos (ahi-tuna, prime beef, sesame ribeye), my wife got the ahi-tuna rice entree, and for our two daughters they shared the quesadillas from the kids menu. Our favorite was definitely the ahi-tuna. One warning is that the portions are quite small, but they do tell you on the menu! However, the prices are reasonable for such quality and tasty food! The kids entree was also sub $10 which is rare to find AND it actually was a decent sized portion and had left overs. On top of that the hostess and server were friendly and knowledgeable. We're already planning on coming back already with some friends. The margarita in the carafe is calling us. What else can you ask for?

He explained their ordering process which is to make on this sheet what you want and to put this card up if you need the waiter for anything else. I loved that they had an organized process. They have a QR code on the table you can order from and pay. But if you order using the paper sheet they provide you, you can't pay from the QR code. We started off with margaritas (regular and spicy) which were amazing! For an appetizer we got the pork tamale. Really good flavor maybe too much masa though. It was a thick layer. The green verde sauce on top was delicious. The tacos are small and are about 3-5 bites so you want to order more than 3 in my opinion which was perfect because I wanted to try a few different ones. We got chicken tinga, mojo pork carnitas, pork belly, ahi tuna tatako, carne asada, seared chorizo. I loved each one! We will be back for sure!
