My partner and I live by the spot so we go here semi consistently. They have great drinks and overall their food is really good. My biggest complaint, is that for being a taco centric spot and having about 15 different tacos, zero of these are vegetarian options. Even things that are called the potato taco for instance have chorizo in them, and the shrooms taco has meat in it as well. I just think it's a really big mess on their part and I think that they should reconsider adding a couple of vegetarian options to their menu. I'm sure if you ask, they will modify. But that's not the point. Sincerely, someone who is tired of getting just a quesadilla at a Mexican restaurant that has so many different options . read more

4 Pretty empty, but able to be seated with a party of 8 quickly. Started with an assortment of drinks, including beer and margaritas. Good flavor. Kicked off with queso (a bit runny) and corn (very good). Meals included: Tacos and rice (surf and turf and pork- both good) Beef tacos- basic but good Fish tacos- good Enchilada Trio- heavy on the sauce but good Chicken enchiladas Chicken salad Cali Burrito with chicken Food had good flavor, served hot, and quick. Waited a bit long to get our check, but gave us time to catch up. Will be back. read more

3.5 One Night Taco Stand was a fun spot! I loved the vibe and energy all around. Two of my tacos were absolutely delicious, but the chicken taco was a bit dry. It was also pretty hot inside, which I get (Florida summer!), but it definitely made things a little less comfortable. read more

It's been a while since we last visited this place. I heard from Jay and Marllie P. that they serve Barbacoa and that they were delicious! So me and my husband planned our visit on a Friday night. Place is the same, nice interior and plenty of tables. We were seated right away and was immediately served a complimentary chips and salsa. Light and crispy chips and the salsa has a mild spice, always a great starter. Our orders came out hot and fast. The Barbacoa portion is huge! It comes with rice, beans, pickled onion and a consommé. Yes it tasted like birria, but the flavor is more subtle but tasty and the beef was in chunks, not shredded. My husband got the Pollo Ranchero with mushrooms and onions, it was good as well. 5 stars overall! I think I found a new favorite Mexican dish! read more

As close to a Mexican grandma's cooking. Food plates prepared fresh and an extensive menu selection. The frozen fruit margaritas are 5x5 and huge, NOT shy with the tequila. Large dining room, clean restrooms and pleasant staff. Our family's favorite. read more

One Night Taco Stand looked promising. Unfortunately, I wasn't a huge fan. Hubby and I stopped in for dinner. We shared chips and salsa then each ordered 3 tacos. The chips and salsa were pretty good. The salsa had good flavor and consistency. The chips were fresh. Not the best I've had but still enjoyable. As far as the tacos go, I ordered al pastor, chorizo and carnitas. Hubby ordered al pastor, carne asada and Mr. Potato. They were dry and mostly bland. The best ones were the chorizo and Mr. Potato, which also had chorizo on it. The al pastor was disappointing as was the carne asada. The carnitas was just okay. The tortillas were chewy and just didn't feel authentic. Overall, not as great as I expected. I doubt we will be back. read more

A we usually Iove this place but yesterday we went for a quick bite. We ordered and used the bathrooms while waiting for our food and both bathrooms (men's and women's) were so disgusting! The service was quick and the server was very amicable and polite. The food came out very quickly after we ordered and it was everything you want your QuesaBirria tacos to be. I decided to go here today for dinner with my roommate. They always have food food choicesto choose. Unfortunately, I recently found out that they stopped serving the lengua tacos. I'm not sure why they decided to discontinue offering it. There's always parking spots available every time I go here, so parking isn't an issue. The service here is always good. I really like the ambiance of this restaurant as they have awesome paintings on the walls and inside the male restroom as well. My roommate decided to order a carnitas platter. She stated that it was very good. The pork was tender and flavorful. I decided to order the queso fundido platter. That consisted of chicken breast. They were tender and flavourful. It was topped with cheese sauce with diced chorizo. The cheese was slighty runny. Only thing I disliked about the cheese sauce. The tortillas that come with some of the dishes are amazing and fresh. I will definitely return here again. read more

Was in the area and stopped in here to get a bite to eat. The restaurant itself is decorated really fun with murals on the wall and wrestling masks around the place. It's a really spacious restaurant as well. I was seated right away and my server Lihannette was awesome. She brought me chips and salsa right away. I ordered two ground beef tacos and a camaron taco. Everything tasted delicious! The camaron one was a little spicy but I enjoyed it! The amount of meat/ protein in each taco was good. Lihannette was on point with her service. Wow, I didn't think Americanized Tex-mex could be this bad. I had the ground beef Chimichanga platter. The beans and rice were fine (think Taco Bell). The Chimi was HORRIBLE! The meat filling was so greasy I couldn't eat it. Luckily I filled up on chips. My wife ordered the Empinadas and they too were so greasy, they were inedible. The friend that was with us ordered a Chicken taco salad and she said it was just "meh" The waiter never checked in on us after dropping off our food. We did complain about my greasy Chimi when he did finally come with the check but he did nothing about it. This location being in Baymeadows with tons of competition, you would think would have stepped up their game. Save your money and go to Taco Bell. The food and service would be a lot better. read more

It is a fantastic restaurant offering authentic mexican food, strong margaritas, and a lively lucha libre ambiance. The service is excellent, with a friendly and attentive waitstaff always ready to help. The tacos are made with fresh ingredients and are packed with flavor, and the guacamole and chips and salsa are also delicious. The restaurant has a local, family-oriented atmosphere, and the music is upbeat and fun, making for a great vibe. It's a great place to go for a delicious and fun dining experience. I highly recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for a good time. Dont miss ordering Flan. It was awesome. read more

Won't give extra small sides of chimichurri. Have to call and practically beg them over the phone to get it. We order from Uber Eats and there's NO way to add it, so we call and ask and every single time they've given it to us for free. This last time I spoke with Abraham on the phone who was arguing with me about adding them to our order and that he would have to charge us $4. It wouldn't be an issue if they hadn't given it to us for free every time in the past. We spend over $65 when we order so $4 is nothing but it's the point of the matter. When I asked to speak to a manager he told me to call back in 10 minutes. So I did and still got no results. On top of that they want to charge $1 for 1ounce cups of chimichurri each when the ingredients costs less than that to make it. This will be the last time we order from them. read more

Long over due visit to my 1st taco spot that I dined at when moving to Jax. Many new faces and some great old ones. The Taco Tuesday deal ($2.99) is still a great deal. Fresh ingredients, savory tacos with generous amounts of flavorful meats and toppings. Complimentary chips and salsa has always been another fav of mine. Ice cold Jarrito pineapple flavored drink complimented my lunch during todays meal. Excellent overall service by the entire staff. Friendly, professional and welcoming. I stopped in 25 minutes before closing and sat at the bar. The bartender was preparing for close but took the time to take care of me very nicely. The chips and salsa were excellent. Chips were held in a warmer and the salsa is delicious. I ordered at Fiery fish taco, The Shroom taco, and Caribbean taco. All were quite pleasing to the eye and fully of fresh tasty ingredients. They were all delicious and satisfying. So good I jumped right in and failed to take pics... sorry about that. The beer selection is excellent and the beer is very cold. I was in and out by closing. Again the bartender was intent in making my visit worth a return visit soon. Thanks for taking great care of a late customer who was hungry and thirsty. I love this place, it is my favorite Mexican restaurant in the area until today. I was craving some chips and salsa and one of their banging frozen margaritas. Unfortunately I was severe frozen sours mix. Whoever made today's taco Tuesday margaritas left out ALL of the tequila because I have had a million of these before and it was not good, looking forward to acid reflux for days. And the past two times our service has been horrible. Forgotten whole meals, meals messed up and random drinks dropped off. And today our server came twice and we didn't even get our off margaritas until 20 min after being seated. I am very disappointed and my have to resort back to cantina louie where I know now I can expect an actual margarita. read more

My friend and I were meeting up for dinner after a long week of work. We were planning on going to Enza's but the wait was 1hr long for seating, so we decided to eat somewhere else. We ended up looking at places to eat while in the car and we both came up upon one night taco stand. When we arrived to the place, we were like "hmmmm, we don't know about this since it's almost like in the middle of nowhere by its lonesome self". But we went in anyways, and to our surprise the place looks very hip and cool. There were graffiti drawings on the walls, some were interesting. It was pretty loud inside too. We were seated right away. The waiter gave us our drinks and some chips and salsa to start, while we decide on what to order. My friend got the veggie taco with some queso, and I got the asada, pescado, and sriracha shrimp taco. The asada was a little bit dry for me and plain. After putting in some hot sauce, it tasted better. The pescado was refreshing with the salsa and their special sauce. The sriracha shrimp taco was my favorite! Their shrimp was fried to perfection! The flavors were amazing. You got the softness of the taco, with the crunch, the savory of the sauce, the fresh cabbage...man it was delicious!! Would have to get this one gain when I come back, and try the other tacos. Overall, we love this place and would come back again to have a taste of their other tacos. read more

As my girlfriend and I was vacationing in Jacksonville, we searched for nearby restaurants on San Jose and found One Night Taco Stand. After looking over the photos on Yelp, my girlfriend and I agreed it looked like it was a must-try. I was so wrong. First of all, I don't know which fast food joint this used to be (my bet is a Burger King), but what they have done to it, was pretty remarkable with the paint and remodeling inside, plus the bar and patio and TVs. So the question is...why am I going to be hard on One Night Taco Stand? How did my experience begin? Not too great because of the abomination of tea made by Lipton from a machine. It was baaaad! I never understand why restaurants, especially in the South, do not fresh brew their tea. Not only does it taste sooo much better, it isn't expensive to make a ton of it, especially how a restaurant is going to charge you $2-3 dollars for it. I am also speculating here but I would think upkeep of a machine would cost more over the long run. Besides the horrid start, it was better after that. The salsa was satisfactory. We ordered the bean dip which was good but seemed like it needed something else to it. I really had a difficult time deciding what I wanted to order. And I chose wrong. I wish I chose a burrito or Taco from their many choices but I asked the waitress for her opinion. Her opinion was the One Night Enchiladas. This came with pulled pork, which was really good as far as taste and tenderness, queso, and onions. But it seemed like it needed something extra. In all, One Nighr Taco Stand has a lot of potential for good Mexican. But I love sweet tea with Mexican food and that was the absolute worst part. Because of that reason, I will be choosing other Mexican restaurants over One Night Taco Stsnd in the future. Fresh-brewed sweet tea is that important. read more

First up let's talk about the star of the meal: The One Night Bean Dip! Its the very first thing on the menu but I feel like it's probably under recognized. Black beans, chorizo, pico, fresh avocado, cheese and fresh jalapeños). It goes perfectly with the chips provided. I ordered it with a taco fresco. The taco fresco was simple but had great flavor (steak, pico, queso fresco). The kids portions are generous and my kids have never turned down their rice and beans West coast burrito: chicken burrito with FRIES California burrito: chicken burrito living in queso cityyyyy - always yummy! Stopped in on a Friday night for dinner with my family and my in-laws who were in from out of town. Upon arrival, our group of seven was seated immediately in the porch area at a large picnic style table with bench seating. Note, if you sit on the porch and the sun is setting you will need sunglasses as there are no sun shades or blinds. From there, things took a steady turn down hill. Service was slow all night, as the server had too many tables. We often had empty glasses and chip baskets. We ordered queso and when it came out, we started to eat and then learned it had a hair in it. Since our server was busy with other tables, I took it to the hostess stand and turned it in. For main courses, my in-laws ordered the steak, chicken and shrimp nachos as well as two surf and turf tacos. My wife ordered two shrimp tacos and my sons ordered a cheesesteak burrito (which comes with fries) and two ground beef soft tacos respectively. My daughter ordered a kids soft taco which comes with rice and beans while I opted for the birria tacos which came with rice and beans. All of the food was well cooked and prepared to order. Note, all those cool pics of people eating birria tacos with their bare hands and dipping them in the broth cup that comes with them is a lie, those jokers are hot (the come out on a fajita style pan). Most of the food came out quickly but they forgot my daughter's meal and when we reminded the server she forgot again. So, I gave my daughter my rice and beans (let's be honest kids aren't gonna eat birria tacos) and proceeded to the hostess stand until the manager was available. Once I spoke with the manager, her order was filled quickly. Upon learning of our plight, the manager took the queso and the kids meal off our bill and gave us two coupons for a free appetizer. Probably won't go back until my wife makes me because she wants chips and dip. read more
