I have several favorites. One is their turkey. It's so tender that it literally melts in your mouth! Top it with one of their six signature BBQ sauces, and it's fabulous. I also love one of their off-the-menu items: the sauced burnt ends. Pair them with a side of collard greens, and you have a feast! One other thing I love about this restaurant is that they play the National Anthem every day at noon. Everyone in the store (including all of the staff) stands and is encouraged to sing along. We all built our own burgers and they have a LOT of options. However, the build your own may start at $9, but each topping adds to the cost. But who cares? The burgers were phenomenal! Their website clearly states, "Best burgers, ever." And they're not wrong. The burgers were juicy, flavorful, and delicious. Probably one of the best burgers I have ever had. And everything is made in this tiny area at the end of the bar. We were the only people in the place after about 20 minutes, but again, who cares. The staff were extremely friendly. Their playful banter and bickering when they cleaned up was hilarious to listen to, and they were lovely to talk to as well. One of our group wanted to pick up some Spotted Cow beer (you can't get it in Illinois) and asked about a place to get it nearby. No joke like the last 4 out of 5 times something is wrong with my order. I call each time when I get home never ask for anything as I am not driving back the 10 minutes to get there just to let them know something was wrong. The last time I called the manager was insistent he send me a coupon for a free basket meal. The thing was he was working in the kitchen and actually remembered not my order but the error I received which was a cheese burger with no bun. I have to admit the staff is always friendly. The location gives back a lot to the community and that is one of the reasons I don't drive the extra 5-10min to the next nearest location. If I could offer Culver's one piece of advice is invest in a better mobile app that offers order ahead.
