    Corned Beef Hash Bowl

I wanted to try something new and support a local small business, so I ordered breakfast from here. I ordered the Corned Beef Hash Bowl and there's no Corned Beef, or if there is, very little. I even included a picture of what was under the eggs, more potatoes. The breakfast was $18.97, I would expect to have some viable and corned beef I could taste. I will not be ordering a $20 breakfast consisting basically only of potatoes and eggs from here again. Very disappointed.

We live in the area so we wanted to stop by and try it out. This used to be a burger place that we would hit here and there, but sadly Covid changed that. The inside hasn't been changed all that much. Maybe a little less memorabilia for local teams and colleges, but overall still a decent interior. It's still roomy and has a nice feel to it, but it won't knock your socks off. The staff is super friendly and really is the biggest reason for the 4th star on this review. The whole staff was attentive and came by often to ensure we didn't go too long without a warm up on our coffee or at least just a table touch. Everyone was super friendly and answered any questions we had happily. Having been to many diners with the same feel and menus I was kind of prepared for it to be just a run of the mill diner and I am reviewing it as such. If you come in with crazy expectations you will probably be disappointed. They are a diner, but they are a good one. Let's say they are rustic but delicious. The coffee was amazing really. As silly as that sounds I had three cups of it and it tasted great without anything added to it. We ordered a chorizo omelette with berries on the side and a meat lovers omelette with nothing on the side. We still got the hash browns on the side with my meat lovers but that isn't that big of a deal just an unfortunate waste of potatoes since I am low carb right now. The Omelettes are four eggs and whatever your chosen additions are. They were good, but they came out a little bland. As this may seem like a bad thing, it's actually brilliant. I prefer to control my salt and pepper in a dish when I can so I can have it to my liking. I always take a small taste of my food and then add as needed, so this delivery was great for me. All together this was a solid experience and all for less than $30 for us. I'll be going back, especially when I cycle carbs back into my diet so I can try more of their items.

Very good breakfast with good service and reasonable price. We arrived about 10:45, seated immediately. Bet it's crowded earlier though.

Food and service is great. I only wish they were open for dinner. We work out of town and can only get there if we are off of work.

Great food. Gluten-free options, and they are very careful about cross contamination. Go!

Don't bother ordering the chili. I was disappointed. Burgers are on point, especially the Cali burger.

I ordered the half garbage plate with sausage and bacon. Pro tip: ask the difference between the half and the whole before you commit. The half comes with three eggs. The whole comes with five. Five. I chose wisely. Oh and don't forget the homemade bread smothered in butter! It's clearly a neighborhood staple. People were greeting each other by name, swapping stories across tables, and operating like they've been meeting there every Saturday since 1974. Thankfully, they extend that same friendliness to random out-of-towners who just wandered in hungry. The vibe is energetic and communal, the kind of place where conversations overlap and nobody seems to mind. It has a modern, eclectic feel, but there's also a subtle time-machine quality to it. Like you stepped into the 1960s, just with better coffee and fewer ashtrays. Perfect blend of nostalgic and now.

If you're a snobby person or someone with tons of food allergies don't come here. They are irrelevant in a very good way. I would stick to the basics here. My friend got the cheeseburger with fries and it was perfect. They have fresh meat, no frozen patties. I got the half order of biscuits and gravy with 2 eggs and it was perfect diner style food. The portions are huge so a half order was way more than enough. My friend had the roast beef omelette and I wouldn't recommend it because the beef was in chunks and was full of gristle. However, everything else was terrific. I didn't have the garbage plate because the portion was huge but it's on my list for next time. Maybe I'll split it with someone because you need to come hungry. Prices are very reasonable but it's cash only.

This is in the downtown area of Kenosha, within walking distance to Lake Michigan. The restaurant is in an old building and is decorated in a very neat style with really cool overhead lights and the back bar is very cool. We got a table quickly and I noticed they had a private event they were hosting. Our server greeted us and took our drink order. We ordered Crab cake sliders as an appetizer. My wife ordered the Cajun Pasta with Shrimp and I ordered the Pork Belly Bahn Mi with fries. our appetizer came out quickly. This was three sliders served on Hawaiian rolls. the crab cakes had good flavor. I liked the chipotle aioli was very good and paired well with the crab cake, house made pickles and pickled red onion. It took quite a while before our entrees arrived. I know it was Friday evening and they were packed, plus they were dealing with a large party, but I think the only reason we got our food when we did was because our server, who was also a bartender, noticed we hadn't gotten our food. He brought our entrees out and they looked good. I immediately noticed my food was cold and had been sitting for a while. My wife commented her pasta was cold as well. The fries were house made, but cold and the Pork Belly Bahn Mi sandwich was cold and the roll was getting hard, like it had been toasted and sat for a while. I'm guessing our order got made then over looked by the food runner. Regardless, the sandwich was good. The pork belly was tender and the vegetables were fresh. I wish the Jalapenos had been more pronounced, and I wish the roll wasn't so hard, but still not bad. The fries would have been awesome if they were hot. I would like to give them another try when we return to Wisconsin.
