Long time family owned business. We have visited them years ago and are glad they have reopened. Good people and good food!

I'd order 10 to 15 tacos, she never forgot any offered condiments and in return i paid cash owned with a $5/$7 cash tip. I was content with what I got for what I paid. Then riots 2020 and changes lives. After being burned down Buen Gusto relocated off 63rd St and 20th Ave. Today in March 2026 price increased. 99ct, $1.50 and if I recall at some point, $1.75 cts now 2$ per taco. The condiments cost with additional charges but usually left off. The workers increased but so did their chatting and less attention. In return my past orders of 3 maybe 4 times weekly decreased to a stop in of every average of 6 months but my food order dropped to a straight-back of 4 tacos. This was my what I got with what I ower. My tip never exceeds $3 but it averages $2 Being honest I, although are disappointed in their business might have the loss of the old shop but the tacos still are spot on. Tacos are the only food I'm reveiwing. Prices up, condiment started regulated yet lose them, workers less concerned. But at least try an order and decide your own merits. PS if you do try good God at least look the whole menu don't be as old school as me.

We then asked our server Juan what he recommended and we ordered two of those. We ordered the Steak Fajita with flour tortillas and cheese and sour cream on the side. Also the Bistec Con Rajas Y Queso with corn tortillas and sour cream and cheese on the side. Oh my, the flavors mixed together so well. I added the guacamole and salsa and enjoyed every taco, every bite. I stuck with water and my hubby had a horchata. He said it was delicious. We followed our dinner with a piece of Choco Flan. Ohhhh those two mix nicely for a great flavor!

But I'm no Sherlock Holmes so it took awhile for me to investigate this place and try their fine cooking. First of all, they will start you off with pico de gallo salsa and two other types. All three went very well with the big basket of tortilla chips. We decided to have their most popular meal and that was the steak tampiquena - cooked to perfection and still tender and pink. We also had the chimichanga meal and I elected to have ground beef as opposed to chicken and it was incredibly good!! I also tried the quesadilla with ham and beef lengua (tongue) taco, which was on the dry side. The veggies, guacamole, and sour cream were all very fresh. The conversation with the owner's son was very pleasant and they've been open for about seven to eight years. I told you I wasn't no Sherlock but I will be back here to this stately house otherwise known as El Senorial.
