The restaurant is nice. Plenty of booths and tables. The staff is very nice as well. After being seated we were greeted with chips and three salsa. All of which were fresh and delicious. We then asked our server Juan what he recommended and we ordered two of those. We ordered the Steak Fajita with flour tortillas and cheese and sour cream on the side. Also the Bistec Con Rajas Y Queso with corn tortillas and sour cream and cheese on the side. Oh my, the flavors mixed together so well. Driving on 52nd whilst coming from Costco to Tenuta's, I was always intrigued by El Senorial (which means a prominent house) and both Yelp and Google reviews validated this awesome Mexican place which was hiding in plain sight - at least for me. But I'm no Sherlock Holmes so it took awhile for me to investigate this place and try their fine cooking. First of all, they will start you off with pico de gallo salsa and two other types. All three went very well with the big basket of tortilla chips. We decided to have their most popular meal and that was the steak tampiquena - cooked to perfection and still tender and pink. We also had the chimichanga meal and I elected to have ground beef as opposed to chicken and it was incredibly good!! I also tried the quesadilla with ham and beef lengua (tongue) taco, which was on the dry side. The veggies, guacamole, and sour cream were all very fresh. The conversation with the owner's son was very pleasant and they've been open for about seven to eight years. Stopped in a few weeks ago and got a steak burrito suiza meal with sour cream and avocado to go with chips and salsa. The total was around $26. The food was decent. The burrito was a hearty size. The rice and beans were flavorful. I wouldn't drive out of my way for this meal though. Some of the pieces of steak in the burrito were very chewy and filled with fat so that's always a turn off while enjoying a meal. The chips and salsa were good though. read more

First time coming to this place. Was looking for a good Mexican restaurant in the area and found this. Complimentary chips and 3 different salsas which were all very good. There was a tomato salsa, green salsa and a red salsa. Had to try their margaritas so I got the frozen mango margarita. Kinda strong but still pretty good. Since it was a cool day we opt for soup. I love Mexican food and decided after work to meet up with co-workers. We chose this restaurant in proximity to our company's location. We sat at the bar. I had a frozen peach margarita which was delicious. The 1st basket of chips and salsa is complimentary. The 2nd basket is $3.50. I didn't have an issue with paying for a 2nd basket since there were 4 of us I didn't really want to pass the basket back and forth. It would have been easier if we had been given plates so that we could have helped ourselves to a portion and then passed it onto the next person. I ordered the Combination plate which consisted of a taco, enchilada and tostada. I decided on steak and changed out the tostada for an additional taco. I tried it with just onions and cilantro. I also ordered guacamole and chips for an additional appetizer to compliment the chips and salsas. The food was good. The price was right. There are many Mexican restaurants in the Kenosha area. After having a bad dinner experience at my hotel I looked up restaurants that were open near me. I was immediately greeted upon entering the restaurant and taken to a table. I ordered the chicken tacos dinner which comes with rice and refried beans. The meal includes 1 basket of chips with 3 types of salsa. The pico and the green salsa were my favorite. They were full of flavor with a little spice. The orange sauce was different but not really something I'd order. I love that they give these options so I could try all of them. The food was pretty good. Shared an order of the Fajitas mix (combo of steak, chicken, and shrimp) and an Al Pasto burrito. Everything was generous in portion and very tasty. Fajitas was served on a the typical skillet platter, piping hot with some sliced bell peppers and onions. Sides included a choice of corn or flour tortillas, rice, beans, and guacamole (no extra charge). The Al Pasto (pork) burrito was had to tell how "traditional" the meat was. It was stuffed with beans, lettuce, and tomatoes. Pretty minimal ingredients but very tasty when spooning over the salsas that came with the basket of chips. In addition to all the food, I had ordered a horchata to wash it down which was nice. And we grabbed a tres leches cake to go on our way out. Pretty moist and not too sweet, but would not recommend for to-go as it seemed a bit watery at the bottom of the cake by the time we got home. Could also be our fault for letting it sit too long as we made the drive back to Chicago. The overall ambiance reminds me of a diner turned into Mexican sit down restaurant, primarily with the way it's laid out and with how you can pay on your way out at the front register. Anyways, food was overall not bad and large in portion. Can't say it's the best I've ever had, but it's better than most that you'll find in the midwest. WOW! My husband and I aren't native to Kenosha but we know good authentic Mexican food and we've tried a few restaurants here this visit and past visits and this place takes the trophy!!! The corn tortillas you can tell are made fresh in house, you can smell them they're so good. I got carnitas taco the combo and it came with rice and beans. The beans look so fresh and very flavorful. I came here with two of my friends because we were craving Mexican food. We were greeted by the mariachi band who were so good and sounded so lovely! The ambiance was warm and welcoming as we were shown to our seats by a friendly hostess. Our server came just as we sat to take our orders and was so patient with us since it's our first time in this place. We ordered 3 entrees for the three of us. The portions were so big that we could barely fit all of the dishes on our table. The food was amazing and I will definitely come back here. I heard about this new restaurant and wanted try it while I was in town. I am so happy I did! Everything was amazing! The atmosphere was nice with dark carved wood chairs that are ornate. The restaurant is big with tons of space. Fun Mexican music played in the background. We were seated in a nice big booth. Immediately the server approached our table and greeted us with a very warm welcome. She was so upbeat and helpful during our entire stay. She knew the menu well, made suggestions and was very attentive. The cocktails were tasty. The beer was ice cold. The chips arrived with 3 choices of salsa that tasted fantastic. We ordered the guacamole and it was fresh with chunks of avocado. Our entrees arrived piping hot. The flan was creamy and tasty. Everyone loved their food. I am so happy I tried El Senorial! Last night was the second time I've been here. The waitstaff is extremely friendly and helpful. The waiter even pointed out that it was Mexican Independence Day. On a side note, it was cool to see 50-75 cars driving through town with Mexican flags flying, horns honking and kids waving and yelling. The food was amazing. On my journey for authentic Mexican food again! As we entered we were greeted by a big warm smile. My family was seated promptly, waitress was very accommodating and an example of a perfect attentive waitress. The guacamole was so tasty! So flavorful compared to other restaurants in Libertyville and surrounding areas. Chips and salsas were really good and freshly fried. Salsa had real chunks in it something I've never seen and spicy but so yummy! Guacamole portion size was smaller then expected but it was so yummy.
