Don't order takeout unless you like the taste of styrofoam
    Lizzy M.

Ordered takeout from here. They must have put the styrofoam container for the second order on top of the first order when they spooned in the noodles directly from the pot... the container didn't hold up, bag was full of sauce and noodles tasted like styrofoam. The red sauce tasted like tomato paste. Cannoli was grainy and bland. I'll try any place twice but this was not a very good first impression

Very good food. Huge portions. Local business/family owned. Very reasonably priced. Pizza was delicious. Would definitely come here again:)

Really wanted to love this place. Service was great. Food quality just wasn't there. Feel bad they try.

Tuscany Bistro: Nice on Paper, Unwelcome When It Counts…read more Tuscany Bistro carries itself well; white linens, polished service staff, the kind of presentation that signals you're somewhere a step above the usual. In Kenosha, it's the closest thing we have to proper fine dining Italian. That promise matters, especially when you're hosting important guests. Tonight, I brought two key suppliers, one from Portland, one from India with twelve years in Paris and a refined palate. They'd both flown in to see me, and I wanted them to feel welcomed and valued in my hometown. Our server deserves credit; he was attentive, knowledgeable, genuinely good at his craft. The wine came promptly. So did our meals. But the moment the food landed, cracks appeared. My Portland colleague got lasagna that tasted solid but looked like it had been scooped onto the plate without thought. My filet mignon was genuinely good, but the potatoes came out overcooked and tough on the outside, their skins inedible. The greens were bland, underseasoned. The salad earlier had been forgettable, not even average. Then, at eight forty, the real problem started. The staff began clearing tables loudly. Within minutes, they were yelling across the dining room to each other. At nine o'clock sharp, the lights came completely up and the music shut off entirely. Staff voices got louder: "goodnight, bye" echoing repeatedly, clearly meant as a signal. At nine twenty, the manager appeared and essentially told us they were closed. Here's what makes this worse: they don't close until nine thirty. That's their published closing time on a weeknight. We had a seven forty-five reservation. They gave us forty-five minutes of dinner service before treating us like we'd overstayed our welcome. You don't do that in a restaurant of this caliber. You don't do it when guests are still dining. You absolutely don't do it during a business meeting where first impressions matter. Our server was clearly caught between his training and a directive from above; he never even offered dessert or another round of wine, he just brought the check. The food had potential. The service was undermined by poor management. But the message was clear: your reservation time doesn't matter once their clock hits nine. Tuscany Bistro wants to feel upscale. It needs to act like it.

Let me just tell you, they like their butter and you definitely get your money's worth here. The portions are huge. The BF ordered a deep dish pizza loaded 12" and it was huge. This is a man who can eat 3/4 of a large pizza at any sitting and last night he took half of that pizza home and had to unbutton his pants! LOL. I had the Chicken piccata. It was okay. Not the best I have and in no comparison to the Cheesecake factory,, it was a little dry and tough, yet good. It actually tasted better the next day. The sauce was good, but needed more lemon for that traditional bit of zing. I ordered it with a side of sautéed spinach. The spinach was cooked to perfection! However, it was swimming in butter, so it was a bit greasy, but delicious! The other two in our party both ordered the Lasagna. The portions were about eight or nine inches long and smothered in sauce and cheese. The smell was intoxicating. I was rethinking my order the minute theirs were served. Again, I highly recommend this dining pleasure

However I think a blend of meat and cheese would've been better. For our main course I ordered the fettuccine chicken Alfredo, the chicken didn't have much flavor nor did the sauce but the noodle were yummy! I'd say adding more seasoning to the chicken and sauce would make it much better.

We moved to the area 20 years ago and right away I came to get some pizza. It has been 15 years and I wanted to come back for both pizza and a good Italian meal. I am surprised by some of the reviews. The pizza seems the exact same to me and was terrific. We started our meal with a snack sized pizza as an appetizer. It was great. We got a small delish tray which is kidney bean salad and pasta salad. The same one I remember from years ago. It was a great. We then moved on the my entree of 2 cheese ravioli and two spinach ravioli with a meatball. Outstanding. They are really big and such an authentic taste. My favorite is the tomato sauce. So good. My husband got the Italian plate with two ravioli, gnocchi, and lasagna. He loved it also. We had a piece of the grasshopper pie for dessert, it was refreshing. Our server was kind and attentive. Everything from beginning to end was enjoyable. We won't let so much time pass before we are back. Very good.
