Today (January 31, 2026) my wife and I stopped in Fin & Ale for the first time...but it won't be our last! This place is great! It is nestled in a quaint neighborhood just north of downtown Kenosha, and from the nearest intersection you can see Lake Michigan. When you walk in you get a nice vibe. It has a nautical theme, and lots of beautiful woodwork. All in all a very attractive space. We sat at the bar. The bartender (Rachel) was awesome. At her suggestion I had an Edmund Fitzgerald Porter. My wife had a Miller Lite. For our meals I had the Perch Buster Sandwich with Potato Pancakes and my wife had the Hot Beef Sandwich with Au jus and a side of fries. She chose cheddar for her cheese which was a great call. Both sandwiches were excellent. We really liked the potato pancakes. Prices are reasonable for what you get, which is a tasty meal and friendly service in a charming restaurant. Absolutely not. Food was absolutely awful. The sandwiches, the bread was so hard I almost broke my tooth and don't get me started with the corn beef!! Yuck , a Rueben should have meat very tender not hard oh and if you happen to order an any other fry besides regular you get charged $3 but they do not tell you. Also don't think for any extra sauces 25 cents once again they do not tell you. Also, they probably should give you refills of water before you are done with your meal, especially since the entree was not edible. read more

Food was excellent, ambiance was as nice and crowded but cozy. It is a smaller venue than I thought it would be but knowing this used to be Tg's before, I can see that renovations and expansions were made so it looks nice now! The space is clean, everyone looked like they were enjoying their meal, and our waitress was helpful. I will be back to try other items on their menu and I recommend this restaurant! Finally, there is ample parking spots on the side of the building so that you do. It have to park on the street. read more

Recommended from the charter boat captain (friend of mine) so I know he wasn't about to steer me wrong. He recommended the perch buster sandwich. Him knowing my love for the yellow perch, I was ordering this for sure. I ordered the coleslaw due to my ability to gain weight like Warren Buffet makes money. The food came out piping hot, and fresh. The perch was fresh and absolutely delicious. The wife had the same, with the fries, and we both had a long island ice tea. They even had a diet version (guess who got that one)!! We were so impressed, we ordered the walleye fingers on top, after we ate the sandwiches. Another banger and must get. Hell, I even liked the tartar sauce. I wish I lived closer to this place!!! On a side bar, they smoke fish that you catch and that is out of this world!! Had a little bit of somethings a Ruben sweet potatoe fries! the COD fried (good on Thursdays and Friday) with potato pancake, Patty melt with potato pancakes, chili and side salad with French dressing, all the baked shrimp and Brie was great!!! It's sort of silly to give five stars because we each just had a cocktail and a bowl of chili, but we had such a good time. Loved the feel of the place- warm and neighborhoody. The chili was really good, so was the Manhattan. Our server was kind, patient and fun. We had a pretty good laugh about the restroom, we understand that it's in progress, and appreciate that at some point there will be more than one stall. Best seafood in Kenosha, period. Went with a large group last night and they got us in right away, moved tables together for us, and we were off to the races. Our waitress was AMAZING. This girl hustled out drinks, condiments, appetizers, and entree at light speed. Of a group of 10 of us, not one appetite was left disappointed. The walleye, in whatever way you to choose to order it, was spectacular. I could not get enough of the walleye fingers. The vibe of this place was so welcoming and fun. We went for my father's birthday. With less than half the restaurant full, it took a little over 90 MINUTES to get 5 dinners! Then the portions were ridiculously small for a $20 meals. I'm not a big eater, but I left hungry. The food itself was about average, like you would get from an average family restaurant, just way overpriced. Other than the excessive wait time for the food, the was okay. The bread tasted old and was hard and they only give a half of a slice of bread with a fish dinner!! Our meat was all heavily salted. Several of fellow customers said their meat was over salted as well. Kinda makes me wonder if they are serving expired meat. Guess I'll know tomorrow. Unfortunately, my father's birthday dinner was memorable for such across the board disappointment! Overall, not a good dining experience and a very poor value for your money!! read more

We had dinner here during a quick visit to Kenosha and it was so good we came back for lunch the next day. The walleye fingers, perch dinner and Italian beef sandwich were all great. The small salad (vinaigrette dressing) along with the cole slaw were amazing compliments for the perch platter. Rachel was our fabulous server for both meals and did a great job. The venue is beautiful with gorgeous hardwood floors and cool retro "tin" ceilings. Don't miss this place! read more

While the food is absolutely delicious, be aware the 3 out of 4 times, when calling in for take out order, they get it wrong.

This is a beautiful little pub. The food is absolutely amazing the Rubin the walleye the perch fantastic. Huge fresh and meaty. The fries have this seasoning that is out of this world and it's not a spicy seasoning. They have multiple TVs to watch the games on. The waitress was informative but forgot to ask what sides I wanted and was not to attentive after our food came I waited 15-20 mins for her to ask if we needed anything but she never came back and I would have loved another drink mine was empty. But all in all I would have given 5 stars if it wasn't for that. Again I can't say enough about the food I will definitely be going back to try more of the simple yet wide variety on the menu a little something for everyone. Tried Fin & Ale recently and was not disappointed. We were immediately greeted and seated. The service was fast and friendly. The establishment is very clean and welcoming. Atmosphere was great place was clean. One of the worst meals I've had in a while. Had the cheeseburger they forgot the cheese then when I received it was over cooked and hard to chew. WOW! Excellent Sauder fish (related to Walleye). Lightly breaded, not greasy. Great tasting fish and ample serving. You have a choice of fries, baked potato or potato pancakes +$2.00 upcharge. You also get coleslaw, marble bread and Tatar sauce. Our server was busy but attentive. I asked a patron how his ribs were? He said they were excellent. He thought they were smoked. He said they had no fat and fell off the bone. The decor is lovely but loud. The new improved bathroom is large and handicap accessible. Thank you Mr. Matzur. The new owner. A job well done.
