I used to buy from them and wow have things changed. I used to like the pizza, but the crust would change from time to time and I couldn't deal with that. The sauce is all garlic and is way too strong - tastes like they probably use garlic powder - no joke! Their dining room is just a room with no atmosphere (if they even have it anymore). Their menu is impossible to find if it's even up to date (the calzones have gone up in price to twice what it was originally - does inflation work that strongly to double the price??). I will never go to this place again. The quality has gone down and the prices have gone up. The business doesn't seem very well organized or have people as priority. read more

Only a 4 because it's not totally my kind of pie but it's really good! Sal's is a recent discovery for us just off Sheridan Rd in a relatively old strip mall... circa the 80's? Entering is like taking a step through a worm hole! Walk in, turn right to come to a small counter and dining area where I found the owner at a table chatting with family or friends. Super cute and she was crazy friendly!!! The main dining area seats about 18-20 people, and is connected to a larger dining area. The pizza is very good, fresh, and crazy cheesy! The dough is a more bready and softer than I personally like, but it's hand made for sure. Sausage must be local, freshly broken and strewn amongst the cheese. The sauce is rich, a dash thin, very red tomato saucy but on the milder side which seems to a Kenosha thing as far as I can tell. My advice - ask for the pies to be cooked for at least an extra 10 min... "well done". Tell them "When you thing it's done, leave it in for 5-10 more min until the crust is hard and deep brown. Why? They make well hell a generous pie thats why... cooked less then we'll done, the pie can't hold up! The cheese and guts of the pie at just warm/hot and the crust isn't caramelized on the bottom or top. Nothing worse than a nearly done pizza. So I'm in town visiting and ordered on Uber at this restaurant. Then when waiting for my pizza for an hour two different drivers scheduled to pick up. At the hour mark this pizza was canceled. I tried to call the restaurant only to be disappointed with no answer. I was willing to go pick up my Pizza myself. If your not able to deliver food get off Uber eats. So disappointed. Best pizza in Kenosha. Customer service is the best. Clean and music makes the stay even more pleasant. Family oriented and so friendly. We were treated like family and now they even know our name and what our "regular" table and order is !! It might be cause we go there almost every week !! Look forward to it every week. Read a lot of reviews on Facebook about Sals so I decided to give it a try. we were in their delivery district which was nice. The taste of the pizza was pretty good although they have cornmeal on the bottom of their crust which is a negative for me. After reading reviews of their breadsticks I ordered a 3 piece and I did not see what the hype was about there, maybe because they were delivered so they were cold. I would have this again if I had to but I do not think it is in my top 5. read more

First time eating at this pizzeria. I heard a lot of good things about Sals pizza so my husband and I went here right after the New Year. The pizza did not disappoint! It was delicious. Seeing how it was our first time eating here we ordered a basic thin crust cheese, sausage and mushroom pizza. The crust was crispy and the sausage was good, just the right amount of sauce and cheese. Next time we go we are ordering their calzones. They are huge! We heard those are very good too. First time we decided to try the pizza here, and we were not disappointed whatsoever. We ordered a 12 inch stuffed pizza with pepperoni, sausage, mushrooms and black olives. When it was brought to the table we were amazed at how great it looked. (As you can see in picture) The consistency of cheese and and ingredients were perfect. The sauce was also great and had a nice garlic taste to it. The end crust was stuffed well and was soft, not soggy or over cooked until it was crunchy. We have eaten at Sal's twice now. We ordered by phone and went to pick it up after the time the allotted time for it be prepared had gone by. Food and service were excellent both times. Serving sizes are very generous. We ordered the stuffed pizza. It was excellent the first and second day. I love their thick bread crust and the pizza sauce was not sweet at all but garlicky. They patiently helped us order what we wanted. Second time we had Calzones, one with spinach and Peperoni and another with sausage and black olives. Sauce was on the side for dipping as we asked for it. We also ordered two veggie salads but only needed one. They were enough for at least 2 people and had a variety of chopped vegetables added to the lettuce and croutons. We had both the next day also and except for the croutons getting soggy they stayed nice and fresh. My husband preferred the pizza. I thought the Stuffed Pizza and Calzones were equally good. Because of how they are folded over the ingredients tend to get piled in one area but there was lots of cheese and you could easily put your fork in and distribute them more evenly. We will be back. Ordered the Extra Large Super Veggie (hold the cheese) with garlic oregano EVOO and a braided crust (to hold all the veggies). It was an amazing pie! I would encourage SAD customers to give this one a try - this may become your regular order. Vegan = no meat, no dairy/cheese, and in this case no marinara sauce since that has cheese in the recipe. I have been to Sal's many times over the years. Dine in or delivery the food tastes amazing. Going for the stuffed pizza (been difficult to find a good stuffed pizza and they have it topped off being on a top 10 list). I find my self going on a Friday for lunch to get a calzone or the salads. Being a family owned business and seeing all the family helping makes for a great local spot to always stop at. They delivered it HOT in under an hour ,on a Saturday night . The thin supreme comes with a twisted corn meal dusted crust, Italian sausage,pepperoni mushrooms , onions , green peppers and the whole milk mozzarella cheese had a nice stretch to it . This is the best pizza I've had in a long time! We ordered a Sals Stuffed and a Greek Lite. The Stuffed had a vey lite red sauce the was superb and everything in it blended well together. The Greek lite had a olive oil sauce and grilled chicken. The crust was very crisp and delicious. The service was wonderful and was surprised to be visited by the owner. Who is the Sister-in-law of our waitress(blast, forgot her name). Everyone is super friendly and I love the way they decorated the place.
