This place used to be a bit of a dive, when it was City Haul, but they clearly threw some money at it, and it looks great. A nice, long bar with all dark wood and modern fixtures and lighting go a long way. Every once in a while, they do live music, here. I've played here before (once as CHL and once as Maxine's). Lemme tell ya, a much richer experience with the current owners, although that night, 20 yrs ago, was a barn-burner!!! The salads are huge and one of those will be my next choice. This bar as been around for years. (the owners retired) There is live music often and there are two area with tables, one in the primary bar room and another where the band would be. There are also booths along the back wall. The bar was clean and the new owner, Caleb, was very friendly. I bet people don't think of George's as a lunch or dinner destination, but I highly recommend it.

It was pretty quiet when I stopped in (4pm on the Friday after Thanksgiving), but it looks like it gets pretty busy later in the evening.
