Ordered takeout for a day on the lake and I have to say the pricing is decent for what you get. We ordered some guacamole, queso, birria burrito, and carne asada tacos. $50 for those things seemed a bit high but it was quick and easy to order online The carne asada was lacking flavor and basic seasonings. My boyfriend enjoyed his birria burrito and said it was filling and a good portion. The guacamole needed salt but came with an overload of chips. The queso had a weird consistency and taste but was edible. I probably would not order from here again but it was good to try. read more

This place sucks the food tastes like nothing and a taco salad that tastes worse than bubbakoos taco salad is $18 because they "raised their prices" without the board saying the price read more

How hard is it to tell me what comes on the nachos and since you can't tell me then why don't you have a menu so I can look at the actual ingredients. Your employees had one job just one. Unreal. I walked out without getting anything because they were so inept. read more

Their food is pretty good! Arguably better than chipotle. Good service, cute decorations. The only issue is their location is difficult- always cars packed in such a small area. They really should be on DoorDash for their location. I'm sure they'd get more orders. It's not often I want to drive 20 minutes one way for some food. read more

Our 10percent online coupon that should have worked, didn't. We went in to order in person. The woman, with an attitude, there said there was nothing she could do, that only a manager could do something and she didn't know when a manager would be there. Don't give a coupon for being a loyal customer if you're not going to stand behind it. And don't run a business if you're not going to have a manager or someone to take that responsibility. Won't be going back. read more

All these kids these days. All they want is that Chip-oh-tul and that Gotta go to Moe'ssss yeah! They've lost acquired tastes built up generation after generation. Buds of zero class. But that's fine. I'm old school. I'm still here. Supplying the tasty truth to you suckas. Picture this, a Wednesday afternoon for your common Yelper. (Definition of Common Yelper - Likely partially employed, living life with just absolutely no rules. You check their location and they are on a vacation in the middle of the week for no reason. You question and mock them exteriorly, but internally? You're a bit jealous. But so are they... of you. Life is like a circle.) Anyways... beautiful afternoon, just a hungry boy looking for a satisfying meal to puncture my fasted tummy. Getting this puppy down the gullet could count towards fasted cardio. Great size, well wrapped and filled to the brim. Great protein options, they actually offer pulled chicken which is obviously superior to cubed/grilled but unattainable at your favorite fraudulent and fugazi chain restaurant. You wouldn't understand the difference. I don't expect you to. You're lucky you have me. I ordered and then immediately plopped my firm tuche down at an empty table, by myself in the midst of the day. Some customers looked at me like I was crazy. Crazy? Maybe crazy like a tiger in the wild who just destroyed a pack of zebras all by himself. And now he sits alone, in this lonely world, tearing apart their flesh in peace. Sun glazing him in the eyes and bathing him until he cries. Just let us eat in peace. At the end of the day it's you and you, you must be your best company. I wasn't completely alone. The cholula hot sauce lady skooched laterally towards me, offered me her services and I obliged, making use on every bite. The sweet heat bringing out the excess taste of the ingredients. It was a good meal, but Taco Hombre used to be even better. The chicken once had better seasoning and the flour wraps were once more delicious. It is still a nice place and if I'm in the mood for a burrito it gets the job done and a tad more. But if you really wanna roll up something tasty, you know who to call. That's a wrap folks. - LB (Leave (me) Be.) read more

The counterperson used her finger to put guacamole on my tacos, but let me cut the chase, the problem seems to be horrendous management. I ordered my meal (fish tacos with guacamole), paid for it, and was told to wait twenty minutes. I did. Fast forward to when I get there. They messed up the order. So I have to wait another twenty minutes. The counterperson uses her (gloved at least) finger to put toppings on. I was hungry and the tacos were edible so that's why gave them two stars instead of one. read more

Ordered take out as usual, when we arrived we found our bagged order on the floor. Behavior was shocking . Advertised they open at 11am on their website & front door . Walked into the restaurant , the staff saw me , used the bathroom , 2 people sitting and eating at a table . Portions down prices up, inconsistent servings depending on preparers mood. Can't afford to support this place

This is Warwick's version of Chipotle and I am perfectly happy with it. Is it the whitest "Mexican" food you can imagine? Of course, as it's all high school staff would imply. However, the food is good and it's usually open and it's fast and that's really all you could want in a burrito place. I call it "Taco Gringo" as that feels more becoming. read more

Food is good, but the zombies behind the counter really need some help. Their attention and attitude towards customers are terrible and completely ignorant . I had heard quite a bit about the place for years and finally tried it. My overall take was "meh". I ordered take out, in a quest to support local business and my son came home with a steak burrito bowl. It was very average. The steak itself was not bad, a nice marinated taste but there was hardly any of it in the bowl. One does much better at Chipolte. The same for the rice, which was no more than sprinkled in the bowl at the bottom. Instead one found filler stuff, mostly beans and lettuce throughout. It was actually more of a garden salad with some stuff mixed in than anything else. Would I go here again? Probably in a pinch but it was very middle of the road. Waited all these years for that? I Have Been Here Before, Usually I Get Small Quesadilla, $11.oo Today I Asked for Extra Carne Asada. Server Said I Had to Get it in Large Quesadilla, I Said, That is Not My Choice, But Okay. Four Times I Asked for More Guacamole, Peppers, Pico De Gallo, Cilantro, Corn, and Olives. Getting So Little. Server Was a Tiny Girl, Looked Like She Was Making a Plate for Someone Her Size ! ! Taste Was Okay, But Very Little Extra Carne and Amount of Fillings Were Same as Small Quesadilla. I Ate it There, Sat at My Table 35-40 Minutes. Nobody Asked if My Food Was Okay. An Older Guy Eventually Sat Next to Me to Read the Newspaper, I Asked if a Manager Was There Today. He said He Was the Owner, I Told Him What Happened, HE WAS SO NASTY ! ! I Expected an Apology, and Maybe a Coupon Next Time I Come Back. He Insulted Slippers I Was Wearing, Called Me Names, Said All Workers There Were His Family, and He Has Been Doing This Over 20 Years. Do Not Allow Such a Rude, Stupid, Unprofessional Restauranteer to Serve You. I Was a Waiter Over 20 Years, Any Unhappy Customer Always Ended Up Giving Me the Best Tips, Became the Most Loyal Customers. Always Made Sure They Left Satisfief, Not Him. Do No Go Here ! ! Taco Hombre - Taco Hombre Quesadilla - Mexican Near Me - Warwick, New York

Slow decline over the years. I've lived in Warwick since 2007 and was thrilled when they first opened. Everything was perfect. I wish I could say that for it currently. Let me start by saying the staff is dismissive and usually eating behind the counter. They also changed the portions and the amount of guacamole you get for an extra $2.50 is insulting. The prices also used to be reasonable. Don't be surprised if you end up spending $20+ for what you thought was going to be a quick meal. I miss the old Taco Hombre. My guess is it changed hands at some point over the years and they couldn't match the standard set previously. Maybe one day they will see the flaws in their business and take accountability. read more

the food is good, but the cross contamination on the food line is really bad. theres meats mixing, and the workers don't seem to be very caring or concerned about using the utensils provided to prevent mixing the vegetables with the cheese and sour cream which is an issue for people with allergies. DOH would not be a fan of what I saw. definitely not super stoked about the price of what I paid for my food considering the cross contamination read more

Nice, efficient, great place. Good for a quick lunch, happy not to hafta eat pizza! I highly recommend.

Clean and tasty taco joint. A big assortment of meats and toppings. Be sure to check out the tacos with crispy shells, quesadillas, burritos and nachos. Today I went in and it was super crazy busy as expected for cinco de mayo but all the staff was super attentive and friendly. Just a suggestion for the restaurant, for the expected crazy days maybe reduce your menu to keep up with demand or have someone dedicated on staff to keep things organized. read more

Came here for a late lunch. I was reading the past reviews and I have to say the people were very nice! prices were reasonable, portions were huge and everything was flavorful. Another plus! everything is build your own and they only charge you extra for guac. I got the quesadilla which was recommended by one of the employees and my friend got a bowl. We both had leftovers to take home. Side note: large quesadilla was $9 (8 pieces) and bowl was $12 read more

Delicious burrito bowls, service was good, it's ok inside ,it's definitely the type of place to order rake out

Absolutely delicious. I'm embarrassed it took me so long to get a chance to try this place out. Came out on a lunch break for a show I was rehearsing with my cast. We got tacos, burritos, quesadillas and everyone loved what they got. The portions are huge so you get your money's worth and you will not go away hungry! read more

Wonderful taco place. Stopped for lunch and really liked it. Not the cheapest place for lunch, but quality food and service. I had their steak quesadilla and was very happy. My wife had the steak nachos and it was a HUGE plate. Quantities were generous and it was good quality food. It's got a surf shop, kind of beach feel and was clean when we went. I would recommend it if your nearby. read more

Prompt service, somewhat friendly staff (a couple ppl couldn't seem to be bothered). Place is pretty open and spacious, but could use a little more of that homey feeling. However, that being said, the thing that disappoints most is the food- its lack of flavor and authenticity. I'm no Mexican food expert, but have traveled to Mexico, have eaten amazing food, and some of the best tacos I've had are here in NY. I think Taco Hombre has the potential to be a killer joint, but it lacks the marinated seasoning that makes Mexican food so good! I had "shredded" taco cheese, and I think the white, crumbly cotija cheese is way better. There's really no use of lettuce in tacos, so eliminating that option and having extra cilantro as a staple would take the flavor level up! Guacamole is on point, but could use more cilantro, jalapeño and maybe diced tomatoes or white onion. Hate sounding SO picky. Real pico de gallo would kick it up a notch, too! Don't want to be super critical, but the food just wasn't / isn't flavorful to me. This was my 2nd time eating take out from here... maybe the third time will be the charm? read more

Too expensive for the portions that they put in the bowls and i been doing for a whole month.

Way to expensive for the amount of food they give. I asked for a bowl and the lady gave me barely any rice the and a little bit of chicken, they been doing this to me for months and other people as well. If you come here make sure you tell them to add more food to your bowl because they will take advantage of you and your money. read more

I tried giving this place a second chance but was just as disappointed as the first time. It is set up similarly to a Chipotle or qdoba, but it's not a chain. You choose your meat, toppings, and shell and they make it for you. The food is always cold. The meats sit out in metal tubs and don't appear to be warmed at all. I can't even tell you how unappetizing watery chicken is that is also cold and makes the shell extremely soggy and impossible to hold. Both times I have had this experience where I ended up eating my tacos with a fork and knife. Their prices are also pretty crazy for fast food, very Americanized Mexican. Expect to pay $40 for two people eating. read more

Food was good! Reminded me of chipotle. Wish there were more original flavors, but the food was delicious none the less!

The bad: They still use styrofoam and lots of single-use plastics for eating in and takeout. The good: In my 4-5 years of getting burritos and only burritos here, I've always been satisfied with the food. Not the freshest ingredients, but It doesn't stop me from coming back. read more

My first experience at taco hombre was by far one of the best Mexican experiences I've had on the East Coast. I ordered a shrimp quesadilla with corn tomato and guacamole. It took 10 minutes to grill the shrimp which did not seem to be previously frozen. The quesadilla came out very crispy and fresh. It was the biggest quesadilla I have ever seen and could not eat the whole thing in one sitting. We also ordered chips and guacamole. The chips did not seem like the best chips they could've offered but the amount of guacamole given was very fair and generous This is definitely a little gem in a little gem of a town. I am very excited to visit Warwick again and I know for a fact I will be returning to this cute little restaurant. read more
