I went with a large group of friends. We had two tables pushed together and it was a little crammed. I thought the food was just okay, nothing spectacular. I had eggs and corned beef hash, but the hash kind of tasted like burned plastic. The potato pancake was kind of bland and needed salt. I'm giving them grace because I have seasonal allergies and it's possible my taste buds are off. Also, my friends were happy with everything they got. 1 . We asked for water to drink as most restaurants give you water in a glass at no charge. We got Poland Spring water in the bottle. Not told that this would be charged $1.50 each bottle. Delicious restaurant!!! I discovered this hidden gem while i was working at decided to stop here to get breakfast . I'll have to say that the owner is really nice & cares about all of her customer's. I aslo enjoyed that all of the food is farm to table that's a huge plus for me. I have two favorite entrees the sportmans and the steak platter that I usually get with egg whites. I went in for breakfast with a friend , and we figured it was a good place for us . First of all , they don't give you water at the table . You have to buy a bottle of water from them ! We got our breakfast , and my toast was burnt . I asked for them to please bring me toast that wasn't burnt . The person who brought it to me , seemed to not happy about it . When I got the check , it was over $40 ...for eggs , hash browns , one of us had the eggs with corned beef hash and coffee . When I asked the waitress about the bill , she told me I was charged extra because I wanted my hash browns and corned beef hash " well done " , which it really wasn't . It said nothing on the menu about an extra charge if you wanted anything well done !! I asked for the owner , who was standing right there , and heard everything ....and he said nothing . When I asked him about it , he grinned the whole time , and said with an attitude " he has to use extra oil , so he charges for it . " I've gotten my food well done for years , in many different and much nicer places , and I have never been charged for that ! It was a Sunday morning after church time but we were sat right away. There were 3 of us but we were only given 2 menus and 2 things of silverware. No biggie, I just asked for more. Hubby ordered corned beef hash with eggs over easy. His eggs were overdone and the hash was 'meh' in his words. My daughter ordered a quesadilla which was your avg Tex/Mex breaded chicken and cheese inside of a soft shell. Edible, but nothing to rave about. I got French toast sticks with home fries and sausage. The sticks were good- can't go wrong with fried batter ‍ All in all, this is an ok place to eat. I ate here the other day with my dad for dinner, so this review is based solely on their dinner. The place was empty so we were seated right away. The decor is very country and antique. I ordered a taco bowl with grilled chicken and had a cup of chicken carne soup. The taco bowl was good-- not bad and not great. It was basically a salad with some grilled chicken and some sour cream on the top of it inside a home made tortilla shell. The soup was ok, not bad not great. I was given a small cup of salsa with my meal which I did not like. It was either from a can or made way too thick with too much salty tomato paste. My Dad had the meatloaf with mashed potatoes and carrots with a salad. The entree looked good and I was told it was. The salad looked very good and fresh. Service was good considering we were the only patrons in the place. Our server was very friendly and attentive. I may come back here for breakfast as I read a lot of good reviews here. I thought the seating needed a small upgrade. Bottom line: Not a bad place to have an ok, decent meal. The tap water in this area is not safe to drink so they have bottled water, but my omelette had a sour taste. Prices are high for breakfast. You can go to brunch in the city for the same price as the mediocre food here. Service was not the best either. After waiting 45 minutes for our table of 3's order, we had to go inside to check if they forgot about us. We sat outside and swarms of bees were all over our food and even worse, dead bees were inside the syrup bottle. Would not go back or recommend. read more

Had a late breakfast at Country Dream on Saturday morning. Shared Two Eggs With Corned Beef Hash and Rye Toast, Biscuits And Sausage Gravy, and French Toast. Quality Country Dream is a bit odd, as it is a country diner, but also a Mexican restaurant. In addition to breakfast standards and deli lunch items, they also had an entire menu dedicated to Mexican food. Not a combination I was expecting, but we ended up sticking with just the breakfast items and were satisfied. The highlight of the meal was the corned beef hash that came with the Two Eggs With Corned Beef Hash and Rye Toast. With a little pepper sprinkled on, it was rich and tasty. I was not the biggest fan of the home fries, but the eggs and rye toast were good. Although it did not look very appetizing, the Biscuits and Sausage Gravy was quite good. Rich and heavy gravy with tons of sausage just soaked into the small biscuits. The French Toast would be a pass for me. Made with the wrong type of bread, it was scrawny and thin. Even soaked in butter and syrup, it was hard to get into. Quantity The Two Eggs With Corned Beef Hash and Rye Toast was an absolute feast. I did find the French Toast to be relatively small, so it may require a side order to fill up a hungry customer. Value No complaints about the prices on the menu. I did not see a single dish on the breakfast menu more expensive than $10, and I don't think any of our items were more than $6. Just know it is cash or checks only, but they do have an ATM on site. Ambiance Country Dream is located in a cute house in Warwick, New York. The restaurant takes up the bottom floor of the house, which other than the kitchen has been opened up. Large windows let in plenty of light, and tables spread across the area. It has lots of classic features with wood beams and rivets and a sitting porch out front. The decor is mostly old pictures, signs, and a few little ornaments signifying Mexican heritage. On a cold day outside, the inside is warm and cozy, and smells like fresh coffee. Christmas music played very quietly in the background, but even light conversation covered it up. Crowd The restaurant was quite popular for breakfast. About half the tables were filled and every time someone got up, it seemed like someone new was headed in. It is also a very family friendly spot with plenty of kids enjoying their meals. Service It seemed like the restaurant was run by a small family with a few extra waitresses working as well. Everyone was extremely friendly and the food was out very quick. They also made sure to keep drinks filled at all times. Parking They have a small private parking lot adjacent to the restaurant. Extra Country Dream is a perfectly fine diner. We were happy with our breakfast and I can't complain about the prices. I would be interested in seeing how authentic the Mexican cuisine is, but that will have to be another day. read more

It was busy there but if we are going to wait over a half hour for our meal to be on the table it should be at least somewhat worth it. (40 mins) When I asked if it would be much longer we were told they are trying to accommodate all the tables inside and out. Maybe they just needed more cooks instead of providing a sub par dining experience for patrons to endure. Won't be returning.
