Mexican Skillet
Christina S.

Reviewing for breakfast. The literal BEST Mexican breakfast we have had, and apart from being in Mexico, this is as close as you're going to get. I always get the Breakfast Tacos - chorizo, guacamole sauce, and queso fresco - it's got some heat, but the guacamole sauce cools it down and gives FANTASTIC flavor - 10/10. Hubby gets the Mexican Skillet most times and LOVES it. We also tend to split the Breakfast Chilaquiles, because it rivals some of the best we have had in Mexico. No joke. The staff is always super friendly and attentive - we have never had a bad experience. THANK YOU for always being awesome!!

Love this little restaurant. It's always so clean and good music is always playing. The staff is very nice and attentive. I had the SOBO in a wrap and the pancake deluxe and both were delicious, if you get the wrap make sure and ask for the hot sauce, if gives it the perfect flavor! I've been here many times and will continue to eat here!

Best random spot I've stopped at!! I was a little iffy about the prices compared to some other close options when I checked the menu online. But let me tell you I would willingly spend the money on this place any day. ANY DAY! My fiance and I are from NJ originally essex county ( semi close to newark airport) and since moving to sussex county (nj county right below pine island) there are very VERY few places that have food I would rate 5 stars. I'm white as white can be but it's like you cross into the sussex county border and seasoning goes out the window lol. Every single thing we had here today was SO GOOD!! My tamale wasn't Sahara desert dry, my pasta vodka and meatballs delicious, the salsa was not out of a jar, and the tacos were excellent as well. Surprisingly I can't find a single place that makes actually good french onion. The soup here was so on point I wished I had an extra stomach to have more haha. Our server was super nice. I'm literally writing this review at the table cause I want to make sure I post this before I forget because I enjoyed it that much.

Was driving through and stopped for brunch. Great food, great prices. Service was a bit slow, but worth the wait.

Wonderful cozy find! Best breakfast-for-dinner ever…read more We stumbled upon this absolute gem on a freezing, rainy evening after an outdoor event, just looking for a warm bite to eat around dinner time. My partner found this spot while searching nearby, and oh how happy I am that he did! I had been craving blueberry pancakes for days and was so excited to have a rare breakfast-for-dinner treat. From the moment we walked in, the warmth of the place completely melted the cold away. We were greeted by a wonderful, incredibly kind waitress, and the atmosphere inside was just so cozy and comforting. There was a lovely mix of people having their supper, including a sweet family of seven eating dinner together at the table next to us. It just had that perfect, welcoming community feel. The menu was seriously impressive. My other half ordered the southern chicken sausage gravy dinner, and it was phenomenal! I got my blueberry pancakes- my absolute favorite - and they completely exceeded expectations. I also tried the lentil soup, which was packed with flavor. Honestly, I don't think you could have a bad meal here if you tried. Our waitress (the same lovely woman who greeted us) chatted with us for a bit and was just so delightful and attentive. I even spotted a rice pudding with strawberries and whipped cream on the dessert menu that looked right up my alley, but between my pancakes and stealing a few delicious bites of the chicken dinner, I was far too full this time around! As we left, I noticed the pretty flowers and the outdoor picnic tables. I'm sure this place absolutely hops on weekend mornings, but it was the perfect rainy evening escape for us. Thank you so much for your incredible hospitality-we are officially adding this to our regular rotation when we are in the area.

This has officially become one of my favorite brunch/breakfast places. Unfortunately, I live in NYC…read moreso I am not sure when I'll be back but the food was delicious! First, the restaurant is so cute. It's like you're transported to a teahouse! The staff are really friendly, and they let you know immediately that everything is farm to table. The eggs were a deep yellow so I knew it was the truth. If you go, definitely order the biscuits and the mimosa flight. The biscuits comes with 4 different spreads (fig jam, peach butter, strawberry butter, and a brown sugar butter). The biscuits were a good size, and my favorite spread was the fig jam. I wish I could have put some in a jar. The mimosa flight flavors are so fun. I was not a fan of the soursop but the lychee and passionfruit are really good. For the main dish, we tried the chicken & waffle and the tres leches French toast. The chicken was seasoned perfectly and was crispy. The French toast was actually on a croissant. I can't wait to come back here!

Stopped in for brunch after our Pilates instructor recommended this spot. It is super cute inside…read morewith lots of drink options. I went with an Arnold Palmer while everyone else got different coffees. I ordered the short rib grilled cheese (asked for no onions, but it came with them). The waitress was super nice about it and had it remade right away. The short rib was tender and really flavorful, and the salad and homemade chips on the side were great. The rest of the table got omelettes and enjoyed them too. Would definitely come back to try more of the menu.
