    Tacos & rice/beans
    Thao N.

Didn't even know this places existed...it's located in a lonely corner next to Nordstrom on the emptier side of the mall. Nice option for a quick & cheap bite if you're on the run or craving Mexican food. Honestly, Cactus's quality isn't any better, you just have a nicer place to sit at. I think it took me so long to finally try out this place was that I thought it only served seafood due to the name, but they have plenty other meat or veggie options. The other Mexican chains like Taco Bell, Taco Time, Chipotle, Qdoba are slightly better, but this isn't a bad choice. I liked how they have 2 different type of beans; black, pinto, & my favorite refried!!! Too many places are doing the healthy hipster trend and not have refried, but what's the point? Tell me about your experience if you've been here or is going to after reading this review:)

I don't know if I have ever eaten here! So good!

My daughter and I were shopping at Belle Square and she wanted to eat here. Now that you can actually sit down, we stopped in. She got the ground beef burrito (not a lot of places offer that) and for like an extra 1.25 or something like that, you can get your burrito smothered in queso or enchilada sauce. Everything was extremely fresh and my daughter and I were surprised at how much our food resembled that of an actual restaurant. I know these places are your grab and go, but they have more of a restaurant atmosphere rather than a McDonald's type atmosphere, if that makes sense. The worker was very nice while making our food and helped me decide on what to get, etc. I got the fish tacos and OMG! They were so good. Perfect actually and that doesn't happen very often. The fountain drinks are still out of commission but they do have refrigerated drinks. Overall, a great experience, a great lunch with a great girl!

    Don't do it.

Muy Mal. The portion of extra guac was a joke, the meat was cold, the sauces bland. Everything requested was added begrudgingly, at a cost, with a smirk and worsened when the super stale bitter Tostada bowl was brought back. I visited here unintentionally, at the bequest of a loco cow orker...even he had mutterings about this his fave fast food chain. Never again, muchachos. blargh.

The prices are higher here then anywhere else. WORST TACO DEL MAR I HAVE EVER BEEN TO! when you read "$8 burrito" on there sign read carefully! the $8 does not include meat!!!!!! like really?! with chicken my total was $9.63. everyone knows chipotle and Qdoba are much better options but I usually choose del mar because its a $5.50 burrito instead of $8-9. but not here! dear taco Del Mar; your food is not nearly as good as chipotle or Qdoba so where do you get off charging the same price or higher then them?!? also the staff were extremely rude. I know it was the lunch rush but throwing the scoop of rice sloppily down at the burrito splattering it everywhere was extremely disrespectful. Then when I was choosing extras to put on he literally told me to hurry up! like for real?! and just to make everything worse when I unwrapped my burrito to eat it it was wrapped so poorly and messy I had to take it apart and eat it with a fork. Horrible place, horrible staff, horrible management.

In such an upscale mall as Bellevue Square, the option to have food without it costing an arm and a leg is definitely appreciated. Taco Del Mar is here and it's a fast food restaurant that's not terrible. There is a McDonald's store in the mall, but screw that place. If I want a quick bite while I'm here and I don't feel like paying more than seven dollars for it, I'll probably come here. Taco Del Mar has gone downhill in terms of quality, though. They used to have these delicious bonfire BBQ burritos for five dollars. They don't have those anymore, and their mondo burritos are now $5.69, much to my annoyance. That's like Subway no longer having five-dollar footlongs, but oh well. Their burritos also don't seem to taste as good as they once did. But for a relatively cheap and somewhat filling snack, I don't feel entitled to complain too much.

I had the Nachos (fully loaded). Usually when you eat out like this the server will ask how you want this or that, I.e. black beans or pinto? I told the guy to make the nacho the way he likes it. It was great! He knows his stuff. I just moved here from California and was worried the Northwest wasn't going to have good Mexican food. I'm happy I found this place.

We did a belated Christmas gift exchange with friends recently and our friends made reservations here. So glad they did! It's literally right down in the main Bellevue Square hub, so we were able to easily park at the mall and make a short walk to Castilla. Vibes were perfect with low lighting but still a bustling atmosphere. Our server (unfortunately forgot his name) kept solid recommendations coming all night and was so funny and personable! As this is a tapas spot, we tried quite a few dishes and split them amongst the table. Mixta Paella: our server promised us that the smaller size paella was good for 2-4 people and man he was RIGHT. The portion was absolutely insane and I don't think we even finished all of it. Everything tasted so fresh and there was so much flavor to the dish. They warn you ahead of time, but plan for the paella to take 30 minutes for them to prepare. Grilled Octopus Leg: Every time I have octopus (which is two times now LOL) I'm a little worried about the texture, but it was prepared beautifully here and the sauce that it was in was delicious. Salmon & Artichoke Dip: I'm a sucker for any type of artichoke dip and this was no exception. Creamy, rich, and great flavor! Beef Medallions: Tender and cooked to perfection. Definitely recommend. Chorizo & Onion Empanada: Another banger. So crispy and the filling was so good! I actually was on the fence about this one but my husband insisted, and it was a good choice. Patatas Aioli: Crispy layered potato with a garlic aioli? I mean, come on. You can't go wrong. Delicious. This was our first visit to Castilla and I'm sure it won't be the last - would definitely return if I'm dining up again in Bellevue!

You know, the kind of place where you sit down thinking, "We'll just have one drink," and suddenly it's three tequilas later and you're talking about your childhood dreams. Speaking of tequila... WOW. The tequila selection here is basically a library, and the bartenders are the very enthusiastic librarians. They know everything. My partner and I were lovingly escorted through a full tequila tour before our food even arrived, and honestly? By the time dinner showed up, life was beautiful and all decisions felt correct. Needless to say, we were having an excellent time. The food definitely holds its own too. Everything came out fresh, beautifully plated, and tasting like someone in the kitchen actually cares (which is always a plus). We split a few dishes, including the Carne Asada and the Pescado. The Carne Asada was good, though it could've used just a bit more seasoning, nothing tragic, just a gentle nudge from "good" to "wow." The Pescado, however, was fantastic. Topped with olives, capers, and tomatoes... I mean, how do you even mess that up? You don't. And they didn't. Bonus points: they're open late, until midnight on Fridays and Saturdays. So if you find yourself wandering the streets of Bellevue after hours, questioning your life choices and craving tequila and good food, congratulations, you've found your place.
