Amazing!!! Best tacos we had in Phoenix. The place is super clean and staff are all very nice. I had seen this place in social media and knew I had to come try it for myself. Tons of meat and worth every penny!! It's a MUST try! The seasoning on the meat was just like the street tacos from Mexico City. Love this place.

I took my first visit to Tacos Cinco it is not far form my new residence and I was starving. . I read the reviews and had to try it . It's a cozy location with tv's and tables plenary of space to sit . The bring you your food by the number IIO are assigned . I got carnitas and checked tacos with one in the homemade corn tortilla and the other two in the flour . The taste was great and I couldn't ask for more . The side of beans and rice helped add flavor to the meal. Lastly, the queso has a nice flavor with a bit of kick, not burning, but very flavorful to make the meal go down just rights. I will be back here soon and get some other tacos or a mulita. I would recommend the food here to anyone who is hungry and it is worth the drive if it sir close by.

This place was great. Super friendly. The food was delicious and fresh tasting. They forgot the guac on my burrito but brought me some on the side with no issues. Recommended.

Tasty, clean, will be back. When I say clean, I'm not just referring to the interior- which is spotless- but the food itself. Mexican can get heavy and weighed down with heavy sauces, cheeses, and creams. This was fresh, simple, yet flavorful. I had the carnitas bowl with rice, beans, meat, cheese, lettuce, crema and my personal choice of salsas from their bar. Each sauce was fresh and carried nice to moderate heat. I chose to combine their red and green, a perfect combination. My husband had a carnitas and an al pastor taco with rice and beans. I was impressed that the al pastor is shaved from a trompo, not sitting in a pan somewhere. He yummed over both tacos. My only comment would be that beans and rice need salt, but it's a minor difference of opinion. Prices are very reasonable. We will definitely be back to try other options. ,

Authentic food at a great price! Hard to pick a favorite but highly recommend the tacos as the homemade tortillas are so good. Service was quick and friendly.

Big portions. Great pricing. And the grapefruit Paloma alcoholic drink was amazing. This is my 3rd time in and I've not been disappointed. Definitely a repeat eatery for me. Enjoy.

Three burritos, a quesadilla, 4 cokes and chips and salsa cost $75. Seems expensive. Burrito was good but not amazing. I like the salsa bar. They don't understand veggie food. They do have cactus but I didn't try it. Food came out quickly. The chips were good and melted in your mouth but were very crispy. The guac tasted like nothing. Ambiance is non existent. Not sure if I will return.

We really enjoyed lunch at Taco Cinco! It's counter serve, the employees were super nice. It wasn't too crowded. We got a variety of tacos as well as the small nachos with al pastor. The guac was delicious and very fresh. I loved the cactus and pollo asado. Super flavorful. All the salsas were so good too!

Very nice and clean spot. The employees were super nice and I was created as soon as I walked in. I placed a pick up order and took it home. The tacos were all very good. I got a pastor, carnitas and chicken taco. They all had a different salsa with onion and cilantro on top. They were all solid tacos. I also got a carne asada mulita and thought it was delicious, it's probably better eating it fresh rather than 30 minutes later after my car ride home. The horchata was also good and you can tell it's home made. Definitely a solid taco spot and will be back.

Who doesn't love tacos? When you try the ones at Taco Cinco you will love them even more. We recently decided to check out the new guys on the corner, and we weren't disappointed. It's a very clean, industrial look, but the friendly staff has high-energy enthusiasm. The kitchen is open to view, so you can see what's being made and how clean the prep area is. We were greeted warmly, offered samples, and then treated patiently when we suddenly couldn't make up our minds. I settled on the steak quesadilla. It was stuffed with tender, juicy beef that was just so good. (I couldn't finish it all). There was no greasy heaviness to the food. My picky husband tried several different tacos--again, fresh tasting and quite full--and he's planning his next choices. You place your order at the counter by the entrance, and it is delivered to your table. We didn't wait long. Presentation isn't fancy, and the salsa and sauces come in plastic cups. (There is also a bar where you can get more.) We drank soda, but it appears they have a liquor license, so a Margarita would certainly be a nice accompaniment next visit. Prices may be a little higher than those of other taco shops, but for the quantity and the quality, I'm certainly ready to pay a little more. I'm so glad they've moved into the neighborhood.

This is a very welcome addition to our neighborhood, which needs more good places to eat. The restaurant has a very casual layout, you order at the counter, and service is very friendly. I ordered three tacos: the asada was marinated and grilled just right, the pastor had a really good fresh-from-the-trompo flavor, and the nopal (cactus) had the delightfully tender and slightly pleasantly tart crunch characteristic of good nopales. The creamy horchata was the perfect beverage for washing it all down. I look forward to coming back to try the vampiros and other offerings!

So happy this place is open. The inside is fresh- fresh paint, signs, tables, etc. and the food- so so good! I got the carne asada bowl, my husband got a vampiro and 2 tacos, all asada. We also got chips for the fresh salsa- so flavorful every bite was perfect. We are thrilled to have a new spot in the moon valley area!

Love tacos, burritos and excellent service?! You Must try Taco Cinco!! Personally welcomed as soon as we stepped in. Everything on the menu looked delicious! We chose carne asada tacos (one corn and one flour), carne asada mulita (two tortillas with melted cheese, meat in between) and an al pastor vampiro (corn tostada with cheese and meat on top), guacamole and chips! Absolutely amazing and delicious!! The meat was tender and full of flavor. Michelada was refreshing! The ambiance bright and joyful music representing our culture!! Love it! We'll be back again and again! Muchas gracias a Pedro y a su equipo talentoso!

The restaurant is inside of an old brick home with wood interior and warm colors. The service was good-- friendly and food came out at a good pace, we were checked on regularly. We ordered an appetizer and then entrees from the lunch menu. The aguachile appetizer is SO good. It's bright, fresh, and has a lot of flavor in the green sauce. It reminds me of a ceviche type dish due to its raw butterflied shrimp that is marinated in the house made chile serrano & cilantro citrus sauce. It was awesome. We were also given free chips & house made bean dip. I ordered the mixed two item plate with a chile rellano and taco corazon (grilled taco dipped in a red chile sauce, stuffed with shredded beef & melted cheese. Topped with grilled onions). The black beans and rice is also tasty. I tried a bite of the other dishes, and I also really liked the brightly colored spinach & cheese enchiladas with pink sauce ( signature beet sauce). I look forward to trying other items from the menu, I was eyeing the steak Mexicano or red snapper. Those dishes sound good for dinner.

The restaurant has a small bar of three seats to enjoy some drinks.. initially we were just going to have margaritas for six dollars during happy hour but decided to have guacamole as well for $10 on happy hour. Guacamole was excellent and came with a bean dip. To complement, our guacamole and chips we checked out the salsa bar. The salsa bar has over six choices of salsa. One of my favorite salsas was hibiscus. We enjoyed our quick happy hour so much that we hope to come back for dinner as I see Mole is on the menu. The staff was super friendly and attentive. I hear that they have open a second venue not too far from the original place. They have an event venue. Their original place is in a former church. The architecture inside is very interesting due to the roof structure.

Out of all the restaurants I had before leaving Arizona, THIS ended up being one of the places I couldn't stop thinking about after I moved away. Ever since leaving, I've randomly craved these tacos constantly. I've tried other taco spots in Denver hoping something would compare, but honestly nothing really hit the same. So when I came back out to Phoenix recently to visit some friends, this was one of the first places I knew I needed to come back to because I had built it up so much in my head over time. And somehow... it was just as good again. The meat tastes incredibly fresh, flavorful, and well-seasoned, and you can literally watch them prepare everything right in front of you, which makes the whole experience even better. There's something so satisfying about seeing the tacos being made fresh instead of food just appearing from the kitchen. You can tell they care about quality and consistency. The servers were also super friendly and welcoming both times I came here, which honestly makes such a difference. Everyone had great energy, the service was quick, and the whole place just feels inviting and authentic. I honestly think the fact that I remembered this place so vividly for so long says everything. Usually when you revisit a restaurant after hyping it up in your head for years, it ends up disappointing you. But this place tasted exactly how I remembered it, fresh, flavorful, comforting, and absolutely worth the obsession. Safe to say this place is officially a mandatory stop for me anytime I'm back in Phoenix now.

Also bring a group. The portions are huge and the food is clearly meant to be shared. Trust me on this one, bring friends. I've tried a bunch of dishes here, and there are a few I always go back to. For the table, Camarones Locos is an easy choice. The flame grilled shrimp comes out hot and full of flavor, perfect for passing around. La Patrona ceviche tower is massive and worth the order. When it hits the table, you immediately feel good about the decision. El Pulpazo is technically an entrée, but we always order it as a shareable. The octopus is grilled perfectly and it comes with rice and beans, so everyone gets a little of everything. For entrées, my number one pick is the Lobster and Crab Enchiladas with green sauce. I think about this dish at least once a week. The enchiladas are packed with lobster and crab, and the green sauce ties the whole thing together. Honestly, I could talk about this place all day. If you like Mexican food and seafood, you need to try it. Great food, big portions, and a menu that makes it hard to stop ordering.

This review is for the totality of the experience…read more I made an advance reservation at Alma Scottsdale for a mid-sized group of 7 to celebrate a special occasion. Our party arrived right on time for our reservation, but we were not seated until 15 min later because our table was not ready. It took about an additional 15 min to get tap water for the table (there was not enough provided anyways), and to place our orders too another ~20 min. The food did not arrive until 30 min later. For context, we eventually learned that the restaurant was short staffed and the bartender was also operating as our waiter. When the food finally arrived, there was a mix-up on what was delivered. We had checked with the staff who delivered one of the dishes: we ordered the "wild mushroom" side, but what we received did not look quite like it. We asked clarifying questions x2, but were assured, "no, it is the wild mushroom." Turned out, it was the mushroom empanada that was delivered to our table, which we originally did not order. The management did rectify the situation upon the conclusion of the event when we were paying the bill, but to us, it felt a bit accusatory as if we intentionally wanted to cause a huge fuss about the final total, which was absolutely not the case. The food in general was delicious. If this was a more standard dining experience, it would have been 4-5 stars just for the food. The service was very subpar, and really colored the entire experience negatively, therefore the two star review. I understand that staffing shortages happen -- fine. My family has worked in food service as wait staff for 25+ YEARS, so I am empathetic. But for management to ring up our bill and then come confront us in an inflammatory manner, making us feel like we were wrong, on an occasion to celebrate something special, was extremely disappointing.
