Overall so good! We originally drove over to this area to go to a different place but didn't know…read morethey closed and I'm so happy this was the first suggestion for birria!! I got a birria taco and my hubs got an al pastor quesadilla. We also got a side of rice and horchata. Horchata- creamy and delish (which says a lot because I don't usually care for it) Rice- was good to me but the peas could be left out lol Quesadilla- the meat was flavorful and owned every bite. Tortilla was nice and everything was a perfect ratio Birria- OMG! The flavor was perfect and the cheese. It was so hard not to eat it in one bite lol. I foot to add consume but honestly it didn't need it. I loved the flavor and how tender the meat was I've driven past the Litchfield location and always wanted to try so I am happy we made it into this location! Definitely will have to make my way to that one since it's a little closer to home. Also the seating is ample inside and the girls are nice! Kitchen was quick as well. Even when it was dead to watching alone form, they busted out those orders

I found this spot tucked away in a Fry's plaza honestly surprising since I've been in the area…read moreplenty of times and never noticed it before. I stopped by on a Saturday night to finally check it out. As soon as I walked in, I noticed the trompo right away, which is always a good sign. I stepped up to the counter and was greeted with a warm smile from the young lady up front. After looking over the menu, I ordered two tacos de tripa and two tacos de suadero. She asked if I wanted the tripas extra crispy I said no. I also asked how they prepare the suadero since I didn't see a choricera, but she wasn't sure. When the food came out, the tripas were a letdown. The texture was off, almost like a stale chip, and they were clearly overcooked. I asked if I could swap them for something safer, so I went with asada instead, but that didn't impress either. It didn't taste very fresh. Now here's the reason you should come to Tacos Chilangos: the suadero. Even though it's not cooked the traditional way, it was absolutely delicious. Perfect meat-to-fat ratio, super flavorful, and easily the standout. The guacamole salsa was top tier. I kept going back to that one over the others. All in all definitely stop by to try the suadero as for as the other two I'd would probably give them a second try.

Awesome hidden gem. The menu is wildly expansive from cheap burritos to crazy expensive steaks…read more You can really make it into whichever experience you'd like. I'd gotten the chicken plate, and LOVED it. Great cook on everything and really flavorful bites all around. (would have loved a spicier salsa option, tho). Ambiance is simple and open. Not fancy, but bright and airy. Service was fine. All around some of the best food I've had in the PHX are, so I'll be back on my next visit! (great gelato nearby for dessert also)

Good food, though it's hit or miss…read more We've been coming since it was in the Holiday Inn up on Dysart but we stopped after three visits where the food arrived burned (like charred black), or completely cold, or it was rushed and the order was wrong by a mile. We decided to try again at this new location. It was good. The ribeye tacos are really good, as are the potato tacos (try them!). Our food arrived hot and everything was good. Personally I'm not a fan of their salsas. And I think it's lame to have to separately order chips and salsa at a Mexican restaurant. Especially considering their prices are astronomical for Mexican food. And the chips and salsa are not cheap. But those are nit-picks. I'd say good overall. For me it's not anything great, and it's not a good, old, "family-style" Mexican restaurant with red plastic soda tumblers and plentiful chips and salsa. It's more of a "boutique" Mexican-inspired restaurant. Decent for sure, but the prices for me are way high for what it is (a taqueria really). Still, give it a try. I think when they're hitting on all cylinders their food is great.

For those complaining about the price, what do you expect?!?! Go to Filiberto's and be a negative Nancy if you want "cheap" food with no love, no intention, and no happiness. The fish tacos are TRUE CALI fish tacos. Fresh fish, FRIED PERFECTLY. The sneaky menu item is the wings. Fried perfectly and huge. Perfect for football season. Do not doubt this place, do not question whether or not you should come here. Quite literally everything is good, and the menu has such a variety that you'll find something that works for you, and yes it will be good. And I'm completely serious when I say this - if someone complains about the food they're wack.

The spice, toppings -- the surprisingly tender fish in the middle of the desert. But then, salt. I squeezed lime. I drizzled on salsa. Hmm. Just couldn't get back there. I saw a documentary on crack addiction. A body hits that level of euphoria ... then keeps going back to hit again but it's just not there. Yes, I'm being dramatic, but I'm serious about my tacos. I will try again, junkie that I am. BTW, I also ordered tacos for my husband. He is salt averse yet unbothered so maybe only my tacos got hit with an errant extra shake of salt. I left to make an appointment at the nearby nail salon and came back and they were still back there frying my fish - which, as mentioned, was chef's kiss otherwise. I loved my blue pineapple/coconut milk drink. This place is known for its beverages. Can't complain.
