Super salad was amazing

Amazing food, clean, speedy service, and great atmosphere. I strongly recommend visiting Taco Casa.

The way my receipt and change was handed back to me.

I read through the reviews and thought I would give this place a try even though there were many complaints. I tried to give the staff the benefit of the doubt on their respectfulness and customer service, but I have to say I agree that some of them are rude. When ordering I was told many times "what else?", which I tried to ignore because not many people respond politely anymore when taking an order. When I arrived to the window, the cashier looked annoyed, gave me my total, then stepped away from the window when I was handing her my cash. She stood there, staring at the food prep line and didn't acknowledge me again even though she just gave me my total. When she finally came back to the window and collected my money, she didn't say anything to me. I watched as she grabbed my change and then walked off to wait for the food. When I finally got my change and my order. My money was scrunched up with the receipt and she didn't say anything to me. I will say the taco was bigger than tacos I've received from other places and it was tasty just like the chilada. The customer service was lacking, but at least the food wasn't a waste. I will say it would've been easier to eat if I received napkins or utensils, but I guess I'll need to start storing extras in my car.

Big portions in a clean environment. Sort of like going to a Del Taco but with larger portions. I'd heard of the place but never tried one. Now that I have it would not be my first personal choice, but depending on who I'm with this place is perfect for those not into real Mexican food or anything too spicy. Great for kids as they serve burgers as well.

We go here for the Taco Lites, however, the folks here are just so happy every time we are here. You just don't see this much nowadays.

Food is always cold, especially the tortilla on burritos. Cheese is never melted on certain plates.

Among the best fast food tacos you can get. It's on the pricey side but well worth it.

Delicious. The best fast food tacos in town. Skip taco villa and just come here! We've come at least 3 times since it's been open

Better than the Villa in price and taste, and light years ahead of the mystery meat you get from the Bell.

So many times in college, I would stop by Jimenez mid-day for my fix of their Three Amigos plate: Asado de Puerco, Carne Guisada, & Picadillo. Served with a fair helping of chips and salsa, it was a perfect lunch. Their tacos made them one of the best spots in Lubbock. Their placement in the Top 50 Taco Joints in Texas by Texas Monthly is well deserved. On Saturday, the game changes as they serve a Texas Monthly recognized barbecue. Their brisket is delectable, their sausage has a perfect kick, and all their sides are delightful. One of their delights is the La Tia. A barbecue sandwich except it's served on a house-made concha. Holy smokes. It's sugary and if served with brisket, is a glorious creation. I was driving through Lubbock and had to make a stop when I found out they were serving barbecue on a Friday. I got their Brisket Specialty Taco: two corn tacos with beans, shredded cheese, fried egg, and, of course, brisket. In addition, because my greed has no bounds, I got their Philthy Taco: 2 corn tacos, fried egg, potatoes, salsa ranchero, queso, and their smoked barbacoa. I called ahead and ordered before they closed at 2 pm and picked them up right at 1:57 pm (praise the lord). I mowed down both of them. For two tacos, they are most filling. I would've been full off of one. I am still wowed by what they can whip up. It's to-go only as Jimenez runs a small little shop on 34th Street, but they pack it with a ton of love and might. They're some of the best people in Lubbock, and Lubbock gives them all the love back. They just simply don't miss. RIYL: Mexican pastries, tacos, and barbecue

My first time I went, my group of guys and I were put in a room with all the other white people. Not to say they were profiling, but looking at the rest of the restaurant's population on a busy Sunday, they had us in the gringo room. The food hit. I get putting a bunch of three-taco-plate-and-queso people in one room. I have not been back in quite a while, but I remember their menu being the most behemoth-looking thing ever. Every item had a picture taken on a Coolpix camera, and the text was almost impossible to read on the menu's busy background. That is proof that the food was going to hit. After returning, the menu has been minimized to be more readable, only slightly keeping that same over-the-top flair. The prices have gone up slightly, but where have they not? On a Thursday night, we were seated immediately around 7:30 and had a pretty attentive waitress. Like every good Tex-Mex joint in Texas, their chips and salsa roam freely through the restaurant, and the salsa has a good kick that is easy to manage while still having the heat everyone wants. They also have a creamy green sauce and other sauces they bring out by request. I ordered a combination plate with a crispy beef taco, a beef burrito, and a chicken enchilada with a side of Mexican rice. I added a side of refried beans because no Tex-Mex meal is complete without a big serving of refried beans to mix with the rice and crush with tortilla chips. The crispy taco was unreal. The shell feels like it was double-fried. It has such an incredible hardness to it. It feels premium. The beef burrito and enchilada were great as well, but I was blown away by the taco to an extreme. They have a pretty broad selection of Mexican beers, including Tecate, Bohemia, Dos Equis Amber, Modelo Negra, and Victoria next to your Coronas, Sol, and Dos Equis. Their margaritas are pretty great, if my memory serves me right, as well. I love this place, and I was glad to give it a revisit while being back in Lubbock for a bit. It is just classic and timeless. I just wish their menu was as much of an eyesore as it used to be because that sucker brought me so much joy. RIYL: Gaining five pounds in an hour. A good meal.
