Taco Casa is a waste of money. I purchased the super nachos, it looks like a lot at first, but almost half my chips were plain and dry. The menu has no "meal" options, the pictures have no scale. The price is easily double what I would have paid for the same amount of food somewhere else. Not a fan. I would recommend stopping any place else. read more

The food was well proportioned, the Nachos were extremely soggy, they did not hold up well. They were out of tomatoes. Last time we were there they were out of lettuce, (quite a while back). I read through the reviews and thought I would give this place a try even though there were many complaints. I tried to give the staff the benefit of the doubt on their respectfulness and customer service, but I have to say I agree that some of them are rude. When ordering I was told many times "what else?", which I tried to ignore because not many people respond politely anymore when taking an order. When I arrived to the window, the cashier looked annoyed, gave me my total, then stepped away from the window when I was handing her my cash. She stood there, staring at the food prep line and didn't acknowledge me again even though she just gave me my total. When she finally came back to the window and collected my money, she didn't say anything to me. I watched as she grabbed my change and then walked off to wait for the food. When I finally got my change and my order. My money was scrunched up with the receipt and she didn't say anything to me. I will say the taco was bigger than tacos I've received from other places and it was tasty just like the chilada. The customer service was lacking, but at least the food wasn't a waste. I will say it would've been easier to eat if I received napkins or utensils, but I guess I'll need to start storing extras in my car. read more

This was absolutely the worst experience I've ever had at a taco casa. As a black man when I tell you that I felt like the old manger did not want me in there restaurant. I ordered 2 supper nachos to go and they asked if I wanted it dry and everything on the side. I said thank you since I have to drive a hour. I asked them to put the meat in a closed container with a lid and at that point things got ugly. The old manger dude got upset with his employee for doing it. And understand he already knew she was doing it but he came back to tell her don't do it again. So I asked for a refund because I refuse to spend my money on bad service. Well went to Taco Casa and the order was so easy my 6 year old grandson could of fixed it. One taco, one super burrito, and one bean burrito. That is it and we checked the bag to make sure we had three items. We did and we went home happy. . . Until we opened up the Super Burrito meat and beans. Big portions in a clean environment. Sort of like going to a Del Taco but with larger portions. I'd heard of the place but never tried one. Now that I have it would not be my first personal choice, but depending on who I'm with this place is perfect for those not into real Mexican food or anything too spicy. Don't ask for an extra hot sauce!! This brand new taco franchise has entered probably THE MOST competitive segment of the restaurant business in Lubbock. Don't hold your breath...I don't think they'll survive. I went through the drive thru. Ordered 1 taco, 1 one burrito, and one tostada. Simple order right? Then I asked for 3 extra hot sauce...not an unusual request at a taco shop, right? "That'll be 63 cents extra" the loud speaker hollered to me. "You've got to be kidding", I replied. " No wonder I'm the only one here", I said in frustration. It was the dinner hour and most of Lubbock seems to go out to dinner every night! They just don't go here. It wasn't the money, it was the stupidity of charging for a little condiment every other taco shop in town gives extras for free! Not the way to win hearts in Lubbock. To top it off, when I got home with my 3 item order plus .66 worth of hot sauce, I didn't get one of my items. Best "cold" food I ever had! Got all the way home to find out that I didn't have any silverware to eat my food with and I didn't have any napkins! Obviously, people just don't pay attention or care anymore, and that's a shame! My husband and I love Taco Casa. It's our favorite fast Mexican food in Lubbock. However, today was a complete disappointment. After waiting in the drive thru for 15-20 minutes (only 2 cars in front of us), we finally got our food. We intended to eat it on the road. The bag did not contain a spoon for my side of sour cream, so I kind of just splattered it on my burrito by shaking it out of the container. The beans were so runny that The burrito completely fell apart. Eventually, I just yelled a couple of expletives and gave up. We ended up stopping at a gas station in Ropesville to get me a fork so I could at least eat what I bought. Hope you do better next time, Taco Casa. read more

I am beyond upset right now. The tostada states that there is no meat on it. I've been a vegetarian for over two years, so I order it ever so often. No one (unless they are vegan or vegetarian) will understand how upsetting this can be.
