i'm from out of town snd always try to stop by taco villa on my way back home! today, i came through the drive thru. jose was at the window and gave us the BEST customer service i've ever experienced! he was so sweet and attentive! we had a little wait since it was lunch rush. jose kept the window open and chatted with us while we waited. it's pretty rare to get that great of service in fast food nowadays. jose was awesome!! definitely hope to see him the next time we're in town and getting our taco villa fix! read more

Did not understand it being cheese tortilla and a little sauce plus a fried corn tortilla beans, lettuce, tomato and a drink almost 8 hours one one fried tortilla lettuce beans tomato almost 3 dollars. How how is that? The food is good if you got the money and you got a small appetite. read more

Can't say enough good things about this location. No matter where you go the food will be amazing but this location always has exceptional service. Today specifically their system went down which was completely out of their control. After trying everything they could they opted to just give me my food for free as opposed to making me wait any longer! I just spent about 20 minutes having to go through the drive-thru, twice. I had a pretty simple order- combo: large drink & 2 crispy tacos. First off, the young lady was very soft spoken, & didn't enunciate. It was very difficult to understand her. I pull up & again, I can't understand everything she's saying. She hands me my food & I felt like we were having a stare-off...She finally said, "oh, did you have a drink?" (I mean, she has the order history right in front of her, but I did confirm that it was a COKE, not diet, not cherry. She rolls her eyes & hands me a drink. I pull up slightly, stick the kiddie straw into to make sure it's a coke. It was NOT. I couldn't even identify what it actually was. So, I pull back into line. Same girl comes over the speaker at the menu. I advise of the issue & she tells me to pull forward. I get to the window & she asks for $$. I explained that I was needing the drink correction. She turns around, grabs a smaller drink size & hands it to me. I stated such. She again, rolled her eyes. I finally received the correct drink. While I completely understand the fact that everyone needs to learn, lunchtime at the drive-thru shouldn't be their trial by fire. I sincerely hope that this young lady was still green because if this was a seasoned employee, I don't believe additional training will rectify this situation. read more

I have been a taco Villa customer since the mid 1970s. This food has been a part of my Friday mornings and weekends for many years. I understand the state of the economy. The new system misses the point. Taco Villa is apparently trying to up their game with their new reward system, but it falls flat. I've never had to wait this long since their new system rolled out, it is noticeably slower and longer. Asking if you have rewards (most people not knowing you have to download and app and sign up), and the online ordering not working at all. It complicates something that does not need to be complicated. Additionally, they no longer ask if you would like salsa or hot sauce, and just insist that it is already in the bag. Seems like a time saver, but the old method was very simple. People actually got what they wanted in the quantities they wanted, and were out of the drive thru and on with their business. This is not Chick-fil-A. Good ideas overall, but the whole reason people come here is that it is fast and easy. Now it is slow and complicated. read more

so over priced its stupid to buy their food... 19 bucks for a burrito, drink, chips and queso... their menu was messed up so I could not see prices till i got to window...and drivethru is a trapped drive thru so you cannot leave after ordering without going thru window....what a joke...all you can eat buffet costs less...and their food isnt that great...never going back. plus no napkins...and you have to beg for condiments at the window. stay away. better food for way less money anywhere else read more

I went inside and the manager on duty (didn't get his name) was very fast and efficient on getting the correct order to me, as well as refunding the meal!! although the order was wrong the service and food ( of course) was amazing! that manager deserves a big raise!!! read more

Restaurant is Nasty! This is the Taco Villa we frequent, but we will be rethinking where we go for fast Mexican food! The restaurant itself was filthy, I've never seen it so dirty. The women's bathroom was disgusting and smelled horrendous. The salsa bar was in pitiful shape and this was at 7pm so there's really no excuse for any of this. There are a bunch of high school kids behind the counter and everyone is standing around not doing much of anything. Very disappointing and hope the manager sees this and makes some changes ASAP. read more

Food is not how it used to be. I ordered a taco burger no tomato, i got a taco burger with tomato ONLY and a very hard top bun. The chicken quesadilla isn't shredded chicken anymore and they put 3 little diced pieces of chicken in my wife's quesadillas and mine as well. Check your fries on to go orders. Only 2 or 3 WEREN'T soggy. And I had to wait assuming they were cooking new as the worker yelled FRIES when I ordered. I suppose that meant to not throw out the remaining batch from lunch, give it to this customer. It was 1:30 pm. read more

Since it has been a couple years since anyone reviewed this restaurant I thought I would add my two cents. I pass this restaurant a couple times a day and always notice there is a line around the building for the drive thru. I used to love Taco Bell before they changed all of their food. I am a foodie who lived in the Glory days of TB. Now the menu is horrible and they don't have green sauce any more, but I am off track with this review. So I dropped my son off at daycare and was thinking it is Friday, I want to go have a quick breakfast out and go to the office. I noticed Taco Villa was open for breakfast. Anyone who had been in Lubbock, TX for two days knows there are very few good places for breakfast. If you find one it is a 45 minute wait to wait another 20 minutes to order with over worked staff. Squirrel, sorry just my opinion. So finally to my review if you haven't fell asleep yet, I like the fact they have a 2 bean burritos and soda combo. They served breakfast which is unusually for a Mexican fast food restaurant. I mean TB doesn't serve breakfast, even though you see ads for breakfast! I got a sausage breakfast burrito, which came with egg, sausage, and cheese. I noticed a spicy flavor, which was awesome... They have a country burrito, which I may try next time. Also, if you are fix'in to have sausage and gravy biscuits, that's right they even have biscuits. Shocking I know. They are fast and the food is pretty good. I don't rely on others taste to tell me food is good, but give them a shot. Honestly, they are cheaper the other McFast food and the breakfast burritos are great. They have hash browns which were good also. They are like little rectangles, but you get like 5 or 6. The coffee was a little cold which disappointed me. Only complaint. I received a small container of Pico de gallo and Hot sauce which I didn't try them the burrito had enough spice for me. Last night me and my family were trying to find a place to eat a little before 10pm. After driving around for a little we decided on taco Villa. We pulled into the drive way and we're greeted with great attitudes and kindness. While waiting at the window we realized they closed at 10pm and we pulled in at 9:59pm. Instead of being sent the other way these sweet workers still took our orders and provided us with delicious food without hesitation. Very nice family room by the play house. We had my Granddaughters 5th birthday party today and we pretty much took the entire room next to the playroom. We had about 20 friends and family there with balloons, birthday presents, and cake. The staff was friendly, helpful and kind. Other guest were considerate as well and wished her happy birthday. I am not a fan of the food, but the kids enjoyed it and the whole party. Thank you to the staff form making this her special day. read more

Went at a busy time during Sunday lunch. Service was kind, considerate, and food came out quick and appropriate. Ate inside. The restaurant and restrooms were clean. I like some of the Taco Bell flavors more, but I feel I am eating more real food at Taco Villa. The new Fiesta Bowl was a hit. The burrito was very nice. The rice was nice as was the beans. The shredded lettuce was nice (not brown), but the tomatoes were white (we're a little out of season, though). I know that the health dept has occasionally found some issues and sometimes some TVs reuse leftovers more than they should (according to former employees I know. However, this locale seems to be well-managed. I still don't get why YELP puts reviews in non-chronological order. Who cares if someone gave 5 stars five years ago. Don't put that first. read more

Great food and fast service. Love the way they designed drive through to avoid traffic congestion. The food is always fresh and the fries are some of the best in the area. If you go inside you will experience a clean atmosphere where your food is prepared promptly. They have great soft drinks and work with area schools to provide discounts to the them through PTA support. read more

I never write reviews, but in this case I feel compelled to, if you have 20 minutes or more to wait for chicken then this is the place to go. I have visit this this location 4 to 5 different times, each visit without failure they never have chicken ready for service. The standard answer is about 15 minutes which turned into 30 or more. It's a shame to give Tack Villa 1 star because I love the food and eat at least 8-10 times a month but this has to be the worst location in the country. Literally half the times I go to this location my order is ALWAYS wrong. Today was the third mess up within the last month. Not only was the food wrong but they got the drink wrong as well. Lesson learned if I want Taco Villa I must go out of my way to go to a decent location in which is any one of them besides the Milwaukee location. This is my go to Taco Villa, but I am really tired of wiping my own cups off because liquid is all over the cups. I keep napkins in my car for this very reason. Yesterday I went and the person at the window could tell I was annoyed, but just stood there while I wiped my cup down and the three others I had ordered. I would think you would want the line to move faster and not have your customers holding it up because someone couldn't wipe the cup down? Seems like a petty thing to complain about, but I think most people wouldn't want to drive around with sticky hands and steering wheels. This is a simple fix, but it hasn't happened and I feel that it's something a fast food establishment should be aware of and practicing. read more

Normally do not write reviews but this is becoming an issue at this location. I have been eating at these establishments for years but the location on 82 and Milwaukee has forgot items out of my purchase multiple times. The only reason I am writing now is it has now happened twice in a row at around. Generally its 3:30-4:00pm when I pass through there. There were only 2 cars in the drive through which is normal. Everything was fairly fast but holy cow I am so tired of having to pull over and dig through everything just to go back inside and have my order corrected. Whoever is managing drive through needs to figure out why their location is so bad at this. No other location has this issue except this one which is convenient for me as its near my drive home. I am done. Its faster to stop anywhere else just so I do not have to get out of my car or like today where my daughter is melting down in the back seat I forget to check and the order for my daughter's order is missing. read more
