We made our first trip to Taco Casa today. I will start off saying that we made this rating compared to other fast food taco places. We decided to go through the drive through. My first concern was there was no option for different types of filling, and the filling was called meat. The filling turned out to be ground beef which had decent flavor, was cooked well, and mixed well with the rest of the taco, however, some bites were lackluster. We ordered the Super Taco, 3 Hard Shell Tacos, and Soft Shell Taco. They were all decent. They were a good size and the toppings were well distributed. However, the flavor was inconsistent. Some bites had a lot of flavor and some were just ok. Our favorite taco was the soft shelled taco because we were able to put the sauce in more efficiently. I would reccomend asking for extra sauce which we felt was the right amount of spice level and a little kick of what we thought to be adobe pepper! The service was good, the guy working the drive through was very nice. We had to wait 1-2 minutes for our tacos which seemed reasonable. Everything seemed clean as far as we could tell. I go here and always get the same thing . Super nachos today going through the drive thru. I order my stuff this guy says something I could barely hear . I get to work and notice my normal chips "box "is missing . I open the bag and it's cheese and beans all on the bag and that's not normal then I realize they made my nachos unlike I have never had them so soggy chips and I won't have time to enjoy my food . Where do I start? I walk in and ask the kid filling a drink if they do Apple Pay and he tells me he's too busy making a drink. I should've left then but unfortunately I didn't. Awesome place! This location is a newer Taco Casa (compared to the one we had in Sherman or the one across the Red River in Durant) Simple menu, but they do it well. They're not skimpy on beans or cheese. Exactly the way it should be. Their super nachos are excellent, especially when you get all ingredients separated into individual dishes (like they do for the drive thru) then your chips don't get soggy and you can mix & match each bite exactly how you like it. We love Taco Casa!! We are from Sherman and thanks to stupid Covid lost the TC we had, so we no longer have one in our neck of the woods (big sad!) So we enjoy it when we can grab some in Allen. We sure would love it if another TC opened up in Sherman! Then we wouldn't have to drive so far. read more

Less Meat and cheese than other locations Sadly, this particular location has gone from Great to very Poor. I am a loyal customer and I've been going to taco Casa's all around the metroplex for years. This particular one is close to my home So I go here more often But lately, the tacos have been getting lighter and lighter. By that, I mean less meat and cheese each time I go here It is no longer what I've come to expect from Taco Casa. If something doesn't change quickly, they are going to lose the vast majority of their customer base. When the Allen location first opened it was much better. New ownership is friendly, but cheap AF. They keep the hot sauce behind the counter and make you ask for it and look at you like you have a third eye when you ask for more than one packet per taco. Also, they charged me $0.99 for a water. Everyone is always so nice! I've been meaning to write a review for a while. Zach is who I normally interact with, he's quiet but thorough. You can tell he takes pride in his work. We all live fast lives and most of us take drive thru staff for granted. Today they made me smile after a long day at work. I didn't get her name. Why one star? Because I asked for a side of the mild red sauce when I pick my order up. The guy that gave me my order went to fill up a little cup, the other man working the register told him to stop. His explanation was the new management said it was not to be done any more. I even ask if I could by some he just looked back with a blank stare. The rating is based on the lack of putting the customer first by the management! LAME if filling a little 4oz. cup with red sauce is going to break your bank you might want to rethink your business model. Why is it most fast food businesses don't understand how to run a customer first policy. They should take a look at Chick-fil-a and in In-N-Out. We continue to be disappointed with service and incorrect orders. We won't be going back to this location. Today, I saw that the girl taking my order did not write down my order correctly. The register was not working as we are having a rain storm. So I made sure to say again, "no lettuce on the tacos." She assured me it was correct. Then she handed me my drink. I asked, "is there ice in this drink?" She said, "would you like more?" I again said, "I don't want any ice." So she gave me a new drink. Then I asked again if the tacos were being made with no lettuce. She said that they will not have lettuce. Guess what. I got home and they both had lettuce. And not as much meat as usual. Like I said, this is not the first bad experience lately. No more chances. We are done with this location. I'm spreading the word. read more

My family and I have been going to this location since it was built. Service during the day has become increasingly worse. Customer Service is definitely not the focus. Today, I went with my daughter, the lady in the purple/pink burka was VERY VERY rude. After we ordered, she asked for my name, we sat down in the main dining area and if another patron of the restaurant had not told us (we were the only other people there besides him, he guessed that it was ours), our food would of sat on the counter for who knows how long. Why ask for a name then never call it out??? Just RUDE. The restrooms were so dirty you could smell them as soon as anyone opened the door, zero hot sauce in the condiment section, had to ask and wait for some packets for at least 5 minutes. The night shift is WAY better, and ironically they are all young adults. You would think someone in their 40-50s would know how to treat customers better than young people, obviously that is not the case here. Kudos to the young staff that works at night here, you guys are the only reason I will ever come back, and never during the day. I have informed my entire office of over 100 people just down the road to never ever come during the day again. read more

I use the drive thru and haven't had any problems. I seldom have to wait after ordering. And they are good about giving you the food so it doesn't get messed up before you get home. The lite tacos are huge and fresh. Pretty good for fast food. The tea is good too - I usually ask for half sweet and they are pretty good about splitting the tea. I just hate having the one menu outside. I might try something other than the lite tacos but there are always a few cars behind me. read more

I don't even go to other taco places anymore. I love tacos and burritos but it's hard to find a good place that will serve them quickly. 25 years ago, Taco Bueno was a good place to go. They were hit and miss for a while but the quality continued to diminish at location after location. Taco Casa does it right! I wish I would have thought to take a picture so you could see that the tacos are stuffed with cheese. Every location I've been to is consistent, also. They all stuff their tacos and burritos and they grill the tortillas unlike some other places. I don't write many reviews but this place deserves some recognition. read more

ALIVE CENTIPEDE IN MY BEANS. Don't ever in your life eat TACO CASA IN ALLEN. I went there tonight and ordered a super taco and frijoles. Got half way through my beans when I took a bite to see an ALIVE CENTIPEDE crawling in the beans. I spit it out and scooped it towards the top to show the cashier the thing was still well alive and moving. She went to show her manager Rafael and then came back to ask me if I wanted a new one. Told her F no and walked outside. Went back in and so I could take a picture and get the contact info for the GM or owner. I proceed to tell her in colorful language how mad and disgusted I feel. The manager Rafael comes over to get his earful and proceeds to tell me that this wingless centipede must have flew into my beans at the table but the line is clean. I give him a face and say REALLY THAT'S WHAT YOU THINK HAPPENED.. I said "it's a centipede in the bottom of the half eaten beans, I scooped beans, saw it, spit out my food and walked right up..I was at the table right across from the counter." He tells me sorry and walks back to the line in the back prepping food. I'm asking the very sweet cashier for his boss' info, she doesn't know bc she's new, Rafaeal pops his head up and asks if I got the money. I say what money nobody is taking about money but he's now in the back STILL serving those contaminated beans to the drive through customers. I tell the girl I want my money back for the meal, she walks in the back to talk to Rafael, comes back and tells me I can get the $1.39 back on my beans. I tell her it's not her fault, I appreciate her help and to have a nice night. THERE WAS NO CUSTOMER SERVICE, ACCOUNTABILITY, OR SANITATION. I paid 20 dollars for BEANS! I got two combo burritos and nachos, not only were the burritos 99% beans with a sprinkle of beef but the nachos were awful, the queso tasted like they watered it down. they threw all of the side that go on the nachos in a styrofoam container literally Threw it in the styrofoam, it was all over the bag, worst food I've had in a long time. We were tired from a long week from work and I wanted to try one of the many TexMex taco shops in the area (FYI I just moved here). Taco Casa looked like they had a good menu, so we went with this. I ordered two regular tacos and an all meat burrito, while my dude got an enchilada. Pricing was cheap and they were served quickly. We ate our food at home. In general, Taco Casa is similar to Taco Bell, haha! The flavor of the taco meat is similar. The tortilla is different as it is more thicker and softer. I actually liked this version better. Also the portions are a bit bigger too compared to Taco Bell. Overall, I enjoyed my tacos and burrito, which proved to be very filling. Next time I would just get the two tacos or the one burrito. My dude said the enchilada was pretty standard, but wouldn't get it again. I'd definitely come back for some TexMex tacos.
