Vegan steak and butternut squash quesadilla

The food was so good. It tasted homemade. Delicious. The staff are so nice and polite. I had plenty of options as a vegetarian. I choose to do half vegan steak and half butternut squash in a quesadilla. Amazing. I'm leaving a good review so I remember to come back.

The queso was easily 10/10, great flavor and addicting! The chimichanga was good, just a bit on the salty side, even when queso was added. Overall though, I look forward to coming back and trying more!

El Borrito Bowl with half grilled chilled and shredded pork! It's super delicious and tasteful. They also have guacamole and chips... sooooo good and I'll definitely return!!

The empanada was literally almost empty. One tiny bite of meat/cheese. Don't waste your money.

The empanadas had almost no filling or flavor. I ordered the steak bowl with refried beans and no rice. It came with black beans AND rice. My Husband's steak burrito was SOOOO greasy. Overall NO flavor, greasy and lack luster. Would be better off ordering from Tijuana Flats or some other chain.

Cute spot! Inside a gas station. However, there is room to dine in if you like. Tacos was great! Will be back!

I stopped here on a whim after seeing one of the locations on Diners Drive-Ins and Dives. It was just meh, nothing special. I can usually tell by the taste of the beans or rice if I'm going to like the food. The rice was crunchy and very dry at lunch time likeundercooked, or overheated. The beans have a very heavy seasoning of cumin, lacking any texture (like pureed baby food) and they are an orange brown color. Refried beans are not normally this Orange. They reminded me of something that comes out of a can, not something homemade and fried with lard. The burrito was huge. But I had only gotten 1/4 of the way through the burrito and had to massively huge chunks of gristle that were inedible. Meat was dry too. Would I return? Nope. Gotta get the beans and rice down for me to enjoy them.

Huge Grilled chicken Chimichanga with extra cheese (inside) and switched the beans from black to refried and it was Amazing! I'm hooked!

IMPORTANT (read all) The owner of the gas store that is attached to this place does not believe and agree with the rules that we should be wearing a mask. We were eating peacefully (at a good social distance)and two men came in with no mask and no one said anything. The employees at taco bus are all wearing a mask and taking all the precautions they should but they are stuck with this gas store owner (because taco bus is part of the store) whom doesn't care if he or anyone else gets the C-Virus!! This virus is real and no joke! From word of mouth The owner of this gas store does not clean after anyone and does not use any preventative measure. Please be careful and avoid the gas store if you can! It's sad because Taco Bus food is freaking delicious and this is hurting their business! The grilled chicken chimichanga is Ahhhhmazing! (Huge) Chicken Empanada was delicious Churro was delicious, your standard kind! Elotes was delicious (warning it's spicy) but my girls loved it!

Taco Bus has finally made its way to Wesley Chapel. With this location being a franchise, I had some reservations that the food quality might not be on par with some of the other locations. One bite of my tofu burrito convinced me otherwise. It was the same chewy tofu, the same spicy red sauce and the same creamy guacamole. The only thing that seemed out of place was the pink tortilla (a breast cancer awareness tortilla I'd imagine). What I love about this location, and Taco Bus in general, is the amount of vegan/vegetarian options they offer. I noticed mushrooms, vegan strip steak and butternut squash as well as the aforementioned tofu as vegetarian fillings available (there were more too, I just cant remember what they were). They also offer vegan cheese. That is something that a lot of taco joints don't touch. So what's not to like about this location? Well, Taco Bus certainly isn't cheap. The wait can be long because, as of right now, there is only one register. There are some self serve kiosks that may alleviate some of the wait when they are up and running. The restaurant is part of a gas station and that limits some of the seating and, like some of the other locations, this one botched my to go order slightly (forgot my side of guac that I had to run back in and wait in line to get). Still, despite some drawbacks, I absolutely love that I can now visit a Taco Bus that is right down the street.

John LOVES Taco Bus- they have locations in St Pete and Tampa with outdoor seating. The St Pete one is a stationary food truck- and John frequently talks about how he misses going there. When I spotted this location as we were driving by- I didn't notice it was inside a gas station. So... not classy. Not that food truck are- but idk, gas stations are less so. We had to stop for a bite on our way to a concert- and our table was divided on verdict. I ordered a tostada and it was large- 2x the size I am used to and very good. I also ordered their pineapple water- the menu board called it a customer favorite- and I loved it. Wish I could've gotten refills of that! John got the dos tacos and said it was just ok. My sister got a burrito but the rice in it was overdone- she said like it had been the last of the rice cooking since the morning- crunchy, dried out. My mom didn't like the lettuce on her salad and had the rice problem too. The standard- meh~ could've been better fits this right. Shame- I was trying to cheer up John and it just landed flat.

Good tacos at a reasonable price. Check out Taco Tuesday ($2 Tacos) where all proteins are included except Steak and Seafood options. The chips and salsa were also above average. Neat place located in a gas station (in a bus). What you'd expect from a taco joint. Nothing overwhelming, just consistent.

Restaurant was clean, white table cloths, older decor and booths, but cute. Place was full of two large family groups celebrating the holidays together. Bathroom could use a better cleaning and update. We decided to get a small appetizer plate: Humus, Baba Ghanhuj, Falafel, Labneh, we opted for no grape leaves as we don't prefer them and got extra falafel instead. Portion was great. Our favorites were the Labneh absolutely delicious and perfect taste and texture, humus was seasoned perfectly and falafel was good, but I can't say it was amazing though, something was missing in taste to me. We also ordered the mixed meat entree, portion was large, no way I could have eaten it alone! We shared and still had left overs. The entree came with Kufta Kabob, beef shawarma, chicken kabobs, beef shish kabob, tzatziki, fattoush salad, pita, basmati rice. We had wanted a side of extra tzatziki but instead received a large side dish of tzatziki (we let it go, but neither of us truly enjoyed the tzatziki that much. It was bland to our liking). The one thing we absolutely did not like was the bland, no dressing fattoush salad. It literally had no dressing, no taste, not recommended at all, as the side. So here's what we did like a lot was the chicken kabobs, beef shawarma, basmati rice, beef shish kebabs, kufta kabobs, humus, and loved the Labneh on and with everything. The chicken kabobs were our favorite meat, tender, juicy, seasoned perfectly! We truly enjoyed and savored the Pistachio Baklava, so yummy for dessert! Overall we gave the place a 4 out of 5. We enjoyed our food, service was attentive and friendly. We had to downgrade from a 5 because we did not like the no dressing fattoush salad and the tzatziki tasted bland to us (we are used to the more Greek style). We will be back to try some other dishes!

The wait for the food is short too compared to other one I have visited. The interior decoration is nice with high ceilings. I ordered the grilled steak medallions. I ordered the Chicken katsu from the special menu, and it completely blew me away. I swapped the white rice for brown rice. It was some of the best brown rice I've ever had. The texture was spot-on, perfectly cooked with a pleasant flavor. The chicken itself had a satisfying crunch from the coating, and the vegetables were fresh, crisp. The green onion garnish was a plus. It was better than what I found at many dedicated Japanese or Korean restaurants. The portion was generous; I had leftover to take home for lunch the next day. I downloaded their app ahead of time, which scored me a free slice of cheesecake- large, indulgent, and absolutely delicious. I liked the complimentary bread. The black loaf was my personal favorite. Our server deserved a special shoutout. He was the definition of professional -- attentive, warm, and never missed a beat despite how busy the restaurant was. He clearly earned every dollar of his tips fair and square. The restaurant itself was very busy, even at lunchtime, -with a mix of tourists and locals. The building is modern and fresh, with both indoor and outdoor seating and a sleek, contemporary décor. The menu is expansive, truly something for everyone. And their happy hour offers discounted food and drinks, which is a fantastic bonus. I remembered the first time ate at Cheesecake factory 30 some years ago at Cocowalk in Coconut Grove, Miami. Their food was delicious back then. It's still awesome now. And after this visit, it's easy to see why it continues to thrive.

We arrived around 6:30 PM and weren't seated until well after 8:00. The restaurant had noted they weren't taking reservations due to the holiday, but you could join a waitlist upon arrival--which we did. What made it more frustrating was watching other large groups linger at their tables after finishing, leaving just one person behind to "hold" the spot while they went out to enjoy the festivities. Meanwhile, we saw smaller groups being seated, which made the wait feel even longer. Once we were finally seated, service started off a bit slow. It took some time for staff to come by, and when our food arrived, multiple servers were bringing out dishes without clear organization--walking around the table until someone claimed each plate. That said, the food itself was a highlight. I ordered the Chicken Quesadilla Fajita, which was delicious and a generous portion--enough for leftovers. I also tried the mango margarita; while it leaned more toward an orange flavor than mango, it was still enjoyable. The atmosphere was vibrant and fun, especially for Cinco de Mayo. There was lively music, colorful and creative wall art, and even a photo-op wall, which added to the experience. Parking, however, was another challenge--it was chaotic, with cars parked on curbs and anywhere they could fit. Overall, while the wait and initial service were frustrating, the food and atmosphere made it a memorable visit. I'd be willing to give it another try on a regular day to see how the experience compares--and to explore more of the menu, since everyone in our group enjoyed their meals.
