Found this little gem on Yelp when looking for a brunch spot after church. The entire staff was super helpful and kind. The menu has a wide variety for everyone. I'm a meet and potatoes kind of guy but the fake sausage was maybe better than the real thing! The entire location leans into its names sake pointing patrons to scripture and offering to pray for you via small notepads if you'd like to leave a prayer request. The sweet potato wedges and dipping sauce are amazing, crispy on the outside and soft in the middle. The mustard like dipping sauce must have crack in it as I'd have eaten it with a spoon. The avocado toast and breakfast sandwiches were all exceptional with great combinations of flavor. The serving sizes are not overly generous but are perfect for lunch. I loved the fact that they are a Christian cafe so decided to head over here after church. Was a little disappointed to see that it is a vegan and gluten free cafe, but that's a personal thing. We still stuck around and got the pancakes. They were gluten free but were still pretty good, they had a different texture and were more dense but that's because of the gluten free. They have meat substitutes and egg substitutes I believe. On the tables they have a notepad to write any prayer requests and you can read them and pray for people who visited before you. It was nice to try out but I wish there were at least some non-vegan options. read more

I have seen revelations Café, but had never been. Had some family visiting from out of town, read great reviews, and decided to give it a shot. It was steady, but not crowded at least on a weekday. Staff was exceptionally friendly, and explained a lot of detail of different options. So much so that one of our group decided to try their omelette made with vegan eggs which are made from mung beans. The coffee and latte were very good as well. If there's two of you, it's definitely a good deal to get the 20 ounce and split it. You have your choice of almond milk, oat, etc. at no extra charge. The place is very relaxed, you feel you can just have conversations and feel fairly private. They have a prayer wall where you can put notes up, and they actually have a prayer room where you can pull the door closed and have a quiet seat to yourself. For those of you that follow Bobby Parrish, this place would be BobbyApproved! For those of you that have no idea what I'm talking about, he breaks down a lot of products and what ingredients are in them that are not good for us. Revelations café uses very high quality products and they make a very delicious meal! I had the blueberry pancake carpenters breakfast with regular eggs, Pasture raised, nice orange color yolk, sweet potato fries are delicious, and the pancake was fantastic. The mung bean greek omelette was a winner !! it looked delicious and I will be trying that "with regular eggs for me", but looked delicious. Everyone was thrilled with their meal, the service was relatively fast, and just knowing that you were getting high-quality ingredients, no seed oils Or other crap just makes it that much better. Of course it makes it that much better because it taste delicious as well! Even if you get a breakfast that has toast on the side, it is sprouted bread! That's fantastic! And much appreciated. Get a side of the maple butter, honestly, you won't hardly use any syrup on your pancake! If you're doing some sort of smoothie with a protein powder, they are using Orgain organic powder, just an fyi lol. Overall, I am super impressed with this place and will be back. Having a wholesome well-made meal with quality ingredients is just a winner! All their baked items have the ingredients listed right on the window. If I had anything that was less positive to say it would be that the cupcake I got to go Was a little dry ... that being said it was made with almond flour, and I know almond flour can dry out super easy! And it still had a great flavor! But if you get a baked item, make sure you are used to almond flour or coconut flour,and read the ingredients listed. Some people do not do well with the texture of almond flour, so just be aware of that before you make any judgments. Such an awesome change of pace when looking for a new brunch spot in the North Tampa area..It was a breath of fresh air to see such an awesome health option packed menu as well as some tasty coffee drink options. The owner was on hand to take our order with a smile and great customer service. We ended up getting the Greek omelet which was packed with the right amount of veggies and super tasty feta cheese. I decided to finally try this place after two friends recommended it. Here are my thoughts after my visit: 1. **Ambiance:** The atmosphere is very Christian, which felt a bit overwhelming for me, but to each their own. 2. **Menu:** I found the menu confusing and hard to read. It could definitely benefit from being simplified and cleaned up. 3. **Celiac Disease Awareness:** I have celiac disease, which is why we chose this place since they offer gluten-free options. However, the staff member taking my order didn't seem familiar with what celiac disease is. If you offer gluten-free food, your entire staff should be trained to handle allergy-related questions. It's important to reassure guests that the kitchen takes necessary precautions, like changing gloves and using clean utensils. For example, when I asked if there was a separate toaster for the gluten-free bread, she didn't know and had to ask someone else. 4. **Food & Price:** We ordered two gluten-free avocado toasts (one with an egg), a kids' meal, and a juice, and our total was around $60. I found this price to be extremely high for what we received. For comparison, Crafe Kafe in St. Pete, a 100% gluten-free restaurant, offers more food for the same price. The meal was underwhelming, with soggy bread (I'm pretty sure they use Udi's gluten-free white bread). I recommend switching to Canyon Bakehouse bread, which I believe is the closest to tasting like real bread. Also, the avocado toast came with only half an avocado on two slices of bread--please use a whole avocado for this dish. Overall, I'm happy to see a café in Lutz offering gluten-free options, especially since the gluten-free dining scene in Tampa Bay is limited. While I'm glad we gave it a try, it's not a place we'll return to. I'll stick to Craft Kafe in St. Pete for my gluten-free breakfast fix. read more

Another amazing Yelp discovery! My fiancé and I were looking for a quick bite and this spot was perfect. The ambiance was lovely and the place itself is incredibly spacious. I love this place. The owners actually live in my apartment complex and they are the nicest people when I see them around and they convey those same traits throughout their restaurant. My fiance is a cop in the area and they are so supportive of our men and women in blue, which is a big plus in our book. My fiance and I are not vegan or eat plant based food but the food is outstanding! We honestly couldn't even tell we were eating plant based food. I love the story that the owners hold, if you don't know it, highly recommend looking it up because it is so uplifting and inspiring, which again, also conveys throughout their business. A latte more expensive than Starbucks? I almost couldn't believe it but yes, a large latte or "specialty drink" is beyond the price of $7.00. The young women working the registers are sweet but are largely unfamiliar with coffee creations. The girl who took my order asked me if I wanted milk in my latte (which def should include a milk) BUT the drink had the word Milk in its title. I also wanted to be sure I was getting two shots of espresso if I ordered a large latte, but when I walked out with my drink, it appeared that I had ordered some kind of chai tea latte. Not at all what I was expecting. The sign said it was a Golden Honey Milk latte..or something to that effect. I tried looking for the drink on their website, but I think it was seasonal, so I couldn't find it anywhere to confirm its ingredients. If the server had known that espresso comes in a traditional latte, she could have clarified that what I was ordering was not going to fit the bill. I like the idea of a local place for coffee-based drinks but I'll be sticking with Starbucks because at least I get rewards for my patronage. read more

I really hate to leave bad reviews but I've been let down a few times now and it's time to say something. Today November 26, 2024, I made an order through Uber Eats. I ordered 2 bowls. One for lunch at work and one for dinner to bring home. The Philly one for lunch was very good. Thank you! However, when I got home to have my dinner, the Brussels bowl, left much to be desired. There were 12 very tiny halves of brussels sprouts on the bowl. That's only 6 whole pieces. I couldn't find or taste the sweet potatoes. That was a real let down! They were there though after I paid much closer attention. They were cut the same tiny size as the "bacon" bits and sprinkled on top together with the bacon bits. In fact, they looked just like the bacon bits. You couldn't even taste them because they were cut so tiny and there were so few of them. Sadly, I was looking forward to those darned sweet potatoes too! I doubt there was 2 tablespoons of them. I'm sorry but that's just unacceptable for a bowl that costs $16. Then, I imagine it was the sauce that was spicy because I wasn't expecting that at all. Spicy was no where in the description. A couple of months ago I ordered a figgy flatbread that didn't even have any fig on it and it was so small it was embarrassing and left me hungry at work. I ordered a Chai tea latte that day too but I got a regular coffee latte instead. I understand that food costs are high but your prices are very high. Please reevaluate what you'll are doing for the good of the customer. read more

This was our first visit. Such a pretty space. Plenty of room. It's airy with tall ceilings. It's a religious based restaurant so you'll see that in their decor. If you are looking for a vegan or vegetarian breakfast and lunch spot, then this place is for you. You also have the option of asking for gluten free. The manager greeted us and explained the ordering procedure. You grab a menu and when you're ready go to the counter to place your order. If you order a coffee they'll call you to the counter however your food is delivered to your table. Our meals were fresh and tasty. My oatmeal power bowl was delicious. I loved the power seeds and pepitos. My friends Greek Omelette with a side of sweet potato wedges was not only tasty but pleasantly appealing to the eye. You can also purchase gluten free desserts plus frozen meals for $7.50 in case you'd rather not cook lunch or dinner. This place is a little pricey so be prepared for that. When I hear words like fresh pressed juices, smoothies, organic and cafe, I immediately begin envisioning the worst. My experiences with restaurants dropping those terms have not been great. What else has not been great? Religious based restaurants. These worlds collide at Revelations Cafe and, because of that, I really wasn't in a hurry to visit. But my wife received a couple coupons to the cafe and, well, we gave it a go. My expectations were low but I entered with as open of a mind as I could muster. Revelations Cafe quickly proved that history doesn't have to repeat. The employees were amazing and accommodating. They made recommendations and talked to me about some of the decisions they made about vegan items. For instance, I asked what vegan cheese they use. The man behind the counter said Violife. He then added they did their homework and it was the only vegan cheese that was any good (I agree!). He also said their vegan chicken was Gardein brand (my favorite!). Between the four of us (my wife, two kids and I) we ordered the Vegan Buffalo Chicken Wrap, the Acai Bowl, a Kid's Grilled Cheese, a Kid's Mozzarella Flatbread, Hummus and Pita and a fresh pressed juice. The Buffalo Chicken Wrap was incredible. It had some fresh veggies on it along with the vegan mozzarella, chicken and buffalo sauce. The plate was drizzled with some vegan ranch. I loved this because I don't normally eat ranch and I've found at other places my idea of a tiny bit is different than their's. At Revelations, I controlled the ranch. The wrap, made vegan, was a bit pricey (14 dollars). Still, it was well done. It came with a homemade pickle (which I liked) and a homemade slaw (which I didn't like at all). I was impressed with the pita and hummus because of its excellent value. For around six dollars, you received a lot of toasted pita and hummus. You don't have to worry about running out of pita before the hummus is gone here. The acai bowl is made with banana, strawberries, blueberries, a nut butter, acai and chia. It had great taste and texture, and has a comparable price to other bowls in Tampa. The kids enjoyed their thick grilled cheese and mozzarella flatbread. Revelations Cafe proved religious restaurants and healthy food don't have to stink. I can't wait to return to try other items on the menu. read more

I found My Go to Place!! What a unique and heavenly food experience. We ordered the Carpenters Breakfast for the Hubs. The presentation was simple and inviting you to take a bite into these delicious "cake-like" pancakes moistened by pure maple syrup and made-from-scratch butter (yes, confirmed they make it there). You can definitely tell it was made all from scratch. All I know, the batter was just heavenly. I was surprised that my husband ordered the Sweet Potato wedges which comes with the honey mustard (Dijon mustard) which had a nice savory zesty flavor complimenting the order of over easy eggs. I ordered scrambled eggs with Crazy Nanner Smoothie due to my health restrictions. Fresh, fluffy and tasty scrambled eggs with just a pinch of cheese. The Crazy Nanner is crazy refreshing and I'm so glad I got it. They offer 3 menus (breakfast, lunch, kids and Plant Based menu. What a delightfully surprise, they also offer frozen meals to go which we ordered from the Plant-based menu our dinner to go (Mushroom Risotto), I'll provide updates later. Finally, we enjoyed their coffee so much we purchased a bag of beans too. I like the fact that they seem to grow local and support local. We were greeted the moment we entered and the customer service rep was super helpful and patient with all our questions. The ambiance is very comfortable, friendly and functional. They have the bar seating with charging stations available found in the first row of windows and what surprised me most, to the left, they have little kids section with a little kids toy kitchen area. Quite homey! Clean as they have the team reps consistently cleaning up the living area and tables, also super nice too. The bathrooms are spotless (it matters). On the way out or in, you can grab a cup of complimentary fresh water, that's a nice welcoming touch. It's more than a cafe.... It's community -friendly and you feel like they want to get to know you. I like the fact that they are contributing to the community with events and donations. Kudos! read more
