The Main Ingredient is a cute little shop in the Lutz/Land 'O Lakes area that specializes in organic, bulk health foods. They've got an assortment of teas, locally roasted coffees, spices and herbs, olive oils, some bulk snacks and cooking ingredients. I can't shop for everything at Main Ingredient but there are definitely things I prioritize purchasing there. Nooch? Yep. Small amounts of herbs or cooking ingredients that I don't use a lot? You got it. The prices at Main Ingredient aren't any cheaper than corporate grocery stores, at least that I've noticed, but I love the personalized attention. Every time I've been in the person working has struck up a conversation about what I am seeking. They can show me exactly where it is. This is such a uniques gem, but it is in a low traffic area and not easily spotted from Collier Parkway and 54. They have a shop that is packed full of items. Lots of spices, gluten free items, big supply of amazing olive oils. tea, coffee and more. I just stopped there as there was a tent outside on Monday afternoon and was surprised that they were selling Florida Raised vegetables, meat, and seafood. I did a bundle package for $20 and got fresh green beans, potatoes , red pepper, cantaloupe, Fl. avocado, hydroponically grown butter lettuce, cucumbers and best of all 2 large tomatoes( that have not been refrigerated). I stopped by a couple weeks ago and had one of their teas (I believe the hazelnut one) and it was delicious. All their flavors looks delicious and I would have gotten some loose leaf but they were a little more than where I usually get my tea.
