We succumbed to the temptation of their sign that said they had gone back to the original queso. Well they changed the queso from what it had become after the original company was bought by the British conglomerate way back in the day... but it is now like the original queso from when they were operating in the first half of the 80's. The stuff has a very yellow color and is very thick. Much more thick than the original queso but moreover it is lacking enough peppers to give the queso any taste. It is probably a step above the stuff you get at Taco Bell but still not that good. Why one 2 stars? Well the portion sizes have dropped. I ordered a bueno chilada platter and it had two chiladas on it but both were about the diameter of a one of those chicken flautas you get at a Quick Trip.. which is about 1/3 the size they used to be. The chips were okay but unsalted. The beans were okay... but the rice.. yuck. I couldn't eat it it looks like they used some grease that had turned when they were making it and was just too bad to eat. So 2 stars because you don't expect much from fast food mexican food, but only 2 because for the price I could have gone to a better place. read more

This place is not CLOSED but it should be Rolled by and all 4 staff were huddled out back with the door wide open and smoking. I could only capture 2 in the photo but there were 4 sitting in a circle on the ground - smoking....eeeeeek!!! I can't imagine the flies on a summer night whrn temperatures were at least 95. I'm just gonna add onto the s**Tahoe this place was and still kinda is. Took about 15 to get food even when only 2 cars were ahead of me. I ordered a chicken quesadilla. CHICKEN. QUESADILLA. 2 items....The bum forgot to put chicken in it. So I literally paid $9 for a drink, taco and cheese quesadilla. I've always hated coming to this one. I want to start by saying I arrived at 11:18, there were 4 cars ahead of me to the speaker, 4 ahead of the speaker to the window. I waited and waited. Turned my truck off. Literally tóok a 13 minute nao while in the drive-thru(woke up realised I was in the truck, it terrified me) By the time I got to the speaker I was relieved when I discovered the speaker only allows every 3rd word to be heard, then the window employee had a mask on but her nose was out of the mask. She seemed uninterested in keeping this job, she was their that was it. i saw her drop my small plastic bag that had a single taco pico & fire sauce. She handed me my spirit, all carbonated water, no syrup(nice) broken taco, open sauce & pico. Exited the drive-thru at 11:48. Lunch just sucked! If I could give 1/2 a start I would. I can drive to this Bueno, get my food, and be home all in less than 15 minutes. That's the only reason I've ever gone there even though the food quality has always been extremely low. This last visit was the final straw. This particular location is horrendously bad even by the already low bar set by this chain. I love Taco Bueno but this location is the worst! I remember when the flour tortillas were steamed fresh with each order the beef tacos had lots of fresh lettuce, cheese and tomatoes. Plus the meat was fresh and juice. Not at this taco Bueno. Dried up beans lacking meat sauce, the cheese didn't have a chance to ever melt. Flour tortilla dried and old. And all negative on the Taco. My 4 half filled salsa was so old I couldn't shake it out of the container. Ya know this is the simple stuff! Don't even get me started with the service. I thought they were taking all of in the drive through hostage. Please either shut this place down or get someone in charge that knows what they are doing. The food was great once again as usaul today. A wide variety of menu options. It's always quick in and out when I am placing a to go order. The salsa bar is always fresh as well as the queso. The employees are all friendly. Will definitely be returning again. read more

Chips were stale, the salsa was all liquidity and looked like it had been sitting out for a minute because the sides were all crusted with from the liquid in the "salsa". It also took forever to get our food through the drive through. And on top of that they put my quesadilla on TOP of my potato burritos which smushed them all. Just AWFUL. read more

You can special order any food because either their employees are too slow to fully understand it or maybe they just don't care. Such a disappointment. Taco Bueno has always been my favorite fast food taco place and I rarely allow myself to eat any fast food but today I decided to indulge this treat. I ordered my all time favorite. 2 tacos and a bean burrito. The taco shell on both was stale and broken in half. Had absolutely no cheese. Not a speck of tomato. All it had was about a tablespoon full of meat and some lettuce. The burrito just had a tad bit of refried beans. That's it. No cheese. The flour tortilla was cold. I'll never eat at this particular Taco Bueno again. It's just awful. What a rip off. I thought franchises had to meet a certain standard. Guess not. read more
