Not being from Texas, I would say that this place serves a unique kind of "Mexican" like meal that may require a certain flavor or style to get used to or acquainted. It is not quite Tex-Mex or Del Taco'ish. I can certainly taste the cheddar or American cheese flavor when I noshed on my chicken soft taco. I admit, I generously painted, dipped. and glossed the taco with lots of spicy hot sauce. I wanted to really like this Taco Bueno Texas chain. It is Ok. You might like it. I think I will stick with Taco Bell or Del Taco next time I am in Texas. The staff and service were fine...no complaints here. read more

OK, I love taco Bueno... I far prefer it to any other fast food, Mexican place. However, this particular one is a key one to avoid. It hasn't even been there that long... It's fairly new building. However, it's like nobody takes care of it... The sign was broken a year ago and it's still broken... And it's kind of permeate the whole building. Th guy taking orders through drive through is extremely rude -one the sign outside, website & flyer it states 2 margarita chicken tacos for $6.00. When I got to the window he said that'll be $7.58- I ask about the $6.00 deal & all he said was I just rang it up it's $7.58- I again inquired about the sign stating $6.00 for 2 & he then states there's tax - now I'm asking again sir there is not $1.58 of tax on $6.00 & your advertisement sign & flyers state for a limited time only they are 2 for $6.00- with no explanation he pulled open the cash register & took out $7.00 even said I'll just give you the money back have a nice day & slammed the window in my face! Sometimes you need fast food tacos and that's when you go to Taco Bueno. Party beans!!! I think their food needs to be eaten immediately when it's hot because it doesn't re-heat so well (the crispy tacos gets soggy of course)... that's why I'd prefer to go through the drive-thru myself over ordering delivery. I usually get party tacos, crispy tacos, chips and queso (their queso is always good), party beans, or a party tostada. You can't beat the prices. I also enjoy the cinnamon chips (just corn tortilla chips dusted in cinnamon-sugar). The drive-thru moves quickly. Don't be discouraged by a line! Ask for extra salsa (they don't have hot-sauce packets). read more

This Bueno is located in quite the busy location and it delivers, 100%. Even though the drive-thru had numerous cars ahead and behind us, they got us moved through the line at lightening speed. Service was friendly, they loaded us up with extra salsa (bonus) and my special order was correct. Will def be back next time I'm in the area, had a great experience here. read more

I used to LOVE Taco Bueno as a child. It was so good back. As an adult, it's just not the same. I had it several years ago and it was a bit disappointing. But it wasn't bad. In my opinion, it's a step up from Taco Bell but not as good as Taco Cabana. I wanted to give it another try before we left Arlington but unfortunately we got there around 10:00am, so they were only serving breakfast. I ordered the breakfast platter which came with eggs, refried beans, hash browns, bacon and flour tortillas. The food wasn't very hot. It was somewhat warm but the cheese wasn't even melted all the way. The refried beans had a nice flavor but they were dry. The scrambled eggs with cheese were good. And so was the bacon and hash brown bites. Overall, it was good but I wished it was hotter. I didn't try the tortillas so I can't rate them. Next time I'd love to order from their lunch or dinner menu. Although I don't know when we'll be back to Arlington. read more

My wife had never had their breakfast burritos and I had raved about them to her. This location didn't let me down. Our bacon, egg and cheese burritos were prepared fresh and delivered to us HOT. Stopped by earlier today with my wife and she got the Mucho Nachos with no cheese (lactose intolerant) and extra beans and guacamole. The employee taking our order was awesome at acknowledging my wife's allergy and make sure not to get the sour cream either. They loaded the nachos with all the other fixin's to make up for the lack of cheese, and she could only finish half of them. I got the Big Freakin' Quesadilla and Chipotle Ranch to dip it in, and it was very good. The Nachos combo came with a taco but I couldn't finish it because their ground beef is extremely lacking even after drowning it in hot sauce and salsa. Bottom Line: Don't get the ground beef in any of their dishes, always get the chicken and you'll be alright. read more

This location is becoming less and less appealing. The food is ok but cheap and NORMALLY, the customer service here is "acceptable" at best, but that seems to be changing. Cinni chips are the bomb.com I was greeted when I entered the establishment and upon ordering my cinni chips, the person who I ordered from, brought them out to me, without taking my name. They had other customers in the store, so I'm glad they brought it to me very promptly. I also asked for water, and they gave me a cup right away. Sometimes I get a look as someone who is trying to save some money is cheap... but I'm just trying to save money. Anyway... no weird looks from them, just friendliness all around. Visited Taco Bueno to fulfill a late-night taco craving. First, this place is too pricy and does not deliver in taste or quality. I ordered two soft tacos (by the way, a chicken one is 1.89 a pop-rip-off), a southwest empanada and rice and beans. Where to begin? The flour tortillas tasted unheated and gummy from the filling. The southwest empanada was okay but it was teeny. The rice container was only 3/4 of the way filled, and had a strong acidic taste to it. The beans reminded me of canned refried beans and had a greazy layer of cheddar cheese on the top. I was not impressed. At best, the service was good and the woman who gave me my order was very friendly and nice. read more

The food is always hit or miss. On this visit I ordered a mexi dips and chips combo which came with a muchaco. The beans were spilling out of the sides of the tostada cup and the muchaco tortilla was hard as if had been sitting around for a while. Had burritos today and watched them prepare them . When did you start flattopping the tortillas , that sucked when I got them . Asked them to redo it. They told me that is the way they are all made . Delicious gourmet Tex-Mex food! This place is 100x more bueno than Taco Bell!

Stopped in here for breakfast, was not sure the place was open, no light emerging from interior, no cars in lot. Was open, we were alone inside. Very nice woman pointed out the breakfast menu on a printed page. Not many choices. But food was very very good, fresh, real eggs, large portions. A real gem, wish we had them where we live full time. Will return when back in Arlington. read more

I'm a huge fan of consistency...and Taco Bueno delivers every time! I have had just about everything on the menu, including breakfast items. Lunch today was the Wholotta Plater and it was fantastic!
