With 3 to 4 good authentic Mexican restaurants in the area, I'll wager this restaurant may not even last a year before it closes. Whoever owns or runs this restaurant, doesn't know anything about Mexican cuisine or they just don't care. Everything we were served was obviously out of a bag, can or box. The chips were served on brown paper and they were cold, thick, hard and flavorless. The salsa obviously came out of a container and was served refrigerator cold. The Al Pastor tacos had cold canned pineapple added to the taco, not even cooked in with the dish. The pork had zero flavor and was not made with any concern except cheap. The corn tortillas were definitely out of a bag. The shrimp tasted unhealthy, old and near spoiled and iodine heavy. We got the heck out of there less then 5 minutes after the food hit the table. I went up to the server by the bar to pay the check and she didn't even ask if everything was OK. There is nothing bravo about Taco Bravo! STAY AWAY! read more

The food was good but the service was horrible, We didn't get a waiter until 10 minutes after seated, our drinks didn't come for 20 minutes, and we asked someone for some waters that never came!! When we went to ask where our drinks were, our waiter said "Be patient, we have other things to do." This is unacceptable service and I am furious at the lack of dedication to make sure you customers are happy. I am glad to say I don't plan on coming back here anytime soon. read more

Went for dinner. The steak burrito was good, but strangely came with French fries rather than rice and beans that would be more traditional. The steak quesadilla was also good, but came with no side dish, but was the same $ as the burrito... thus it seemed like less of a value. The red sangria was too sweet. This is one of the worst Mexican restaurants I've ever visited. The food was barely decent, and the tacos are very overpriced. Nothing at all like shown in the photo, and tasted bland. The staff seemed very untrained and the manager seemed like she didn't know how to handle them. Me and my family had to wait for our food for at least 40 minutes. The price was low however they did not have me a lot also it was not by set it was each taco around four to five bucks definitely for the hangout but not for hungry customers also I do not like open hours because it opens at three pm to eleven pm I guess also they keep asked me for tip so I guess chipotle is better no burrito or bowls neither in this restaurant however if you want to enjoy it's value and atmosphere I definitely recommend this place read more

We love taco bravo! I always get a chicken burrito and it's delicious. Usually share a chicken quesadilla with my husband too, which is also delicious. He loves their street tacos too. The chips and guacamole are expensive and so are most things, but it's so good it's worth it. To go margs are clutch. Definitely recommend! read more

Went for Taco Tuesday! Great ambiance and decent $5 grapefruit crushes and $2 chicken tacos (just wish they had served sour cream with them). Bartender was a lot of fun and the staff were friendly too! Will definitely go back! read more

The tacos were delicious and incredibly inexpensive during happy hour. The carnitas were particularly delicious, but it's hard to bear steak for $3 or chicken for $2 during happy hour. The salsa verde had just the right kick. read more

This was the worst restaurant experience I ever had and I didn't even eat here. Myself and another party walked in at the same time. And we stood for a good 10 min at the front by the "wait to be seated" while employees walked past us to serve people. After an unreasonable amount of time we stopped the waiter and he told us to talk to a bartender. then he told us to sit wherever. It took another 10 min to get a server. I also have a gluten allergy and the server was clueless about allergies and wouldn't bring out a manager or a chef. Do not go here this was terrible we walked out. Today the server told us we could only have 2 salsas with our chips when we had 3 people and each wanted our own little salsa so we could double dip. Said the chef would only give 2. This was our second visit to this establishment. It's an attractive space although it was pretty cold each time we went and the Mexican music was a little loud. The wait staff was warm and welcoming each time. This last visit we had Kim and she was delightful--knowledgable, engaging and helpful. The food was excellent--fresh, well prepared and abundant. We've had the vegetable quesadilla, the carnitas taco and the grilled chicken sandwich--all very good. Prices are about average but they have terrific specials during happy hour on selected food and drink with excellent prices. I think it runs from 3-7 PM. Well recommended. read more

Today 06/30 was my first time visiting the cockeysville location, the overall decor was nice and the food was great. I picked my food up due to covid but while ordering by phone we were strongly discourged from curbside pickup and they refused to take my card over the phone. Secondly while arriving to pickup my food I had to wait 15-20 more minutes indoors to get my order and watched the manger enter the kitchen without a mask and I assumed it was after he finished eating and then proceeded to work in the kitchen and handled my bag without a mask. With all the other workers wearing mask and the manger not leading by example is not approirate or professional. This is disturbing to us because my wife and myself are both high risk and this location does not cater to the health of others. read more

My second trip to this new taco and tequila bar. We had dinner a few nights ago and this trip was drinks and snacks with out of town friends. Great beer selection and the chips and guacamole were fresh and tasty. The quesadilla is superb. The service is kind and prompt. If you plan on going for tequila, enjoy. If you plan on going for food, you may want to stop at Chipotle first....food at Taco Bravo is decent at best. BUT a taco place that does NOT serve rice??? I ordered a burrito, and it was good, but when I asked for rice instead of fries (I mean, who gets French fried with a burrito?) they told me that they do not serve rice! Menu could use a bit of an overhaul as its pretty sparing at best. I'm not Mexican, but I'm pretty sure fries and burgers aren't either... Happy hour prices are good, I will say that much...you know, to keep it positive. read more

I have been here twice this month (Sept 2019) and waited until after the second time before I wrote to make sure. I have tried only the tacos (lamb, chicken, carnitas and al pastor). I am a taco snob sporting an upbringing in the best hole-in-the-walls around California. I was happy to see that their tacos don't include shredded chicken, ground beef, flour tortillas or hard shells. All the local Mexican establishments break these cardinal sins. Until now, my favorite tacos were only found at Clavel downtown. Though Bravo doesn't have the same variety of salsa offerings, the salsa provided with the tacos is the best possible accompaniment (beware, its hot). The lamb taco beats Clavel's. It might be slow cooked in a ground pit the way they do barbacoa in Mexico, or not, but it tastes like it is. The carnitas taco is almost as good as Clavel's pork offering, the cochinita pibil taco. No marinade, but quintessential carnitas, soft warm tender delicious on corn tortilla. The al pastor taco is filled with crispy bits of pork, as it should be after being sliced off a rotating rotisserie (gyro style). Don't confuse this with burned meat. Al pastor is hit or miss, sometimes filled with soft chewable fat that ruins the experience. R & R taqueria in White Marsh has an awesome recipe for al pastor but has been faulted for this. Not here...yet. Mine have been awesome. The chicken was very good. Grilled and seasoned much like Chipotle. I prefer this style to shredded chicken varieties (including the super spicy version at Clavel) and I would suggest this taco for the less-adventurous eaters. I have yet to sample the margaritas or tequilas. lamb barbacoa: 10/10 al pastor: 9/10 carnitas: 9/10 chicken: 8/10 Bless this place with your patronage Timonium. Ordered delivery on grub hub, no problems there as usual for me. Food gets here 3.00$ for a drink mostly ice. Minimal rice and beans given with the 3 taco meal. But here's the kicker, my food had not one but two hairs in it. They defiantly were not mine, two totally different colors. I usually come into the restaurant to order and sit down and I have had no problems but now I most likely will not be back. Its a shame since I really loved going there. read more

Save your time and money. I was excited that a Taco and Tequila Bar opened in the neighborhood. I ordered a Mojito and my girlfriend ordered a classic margarita. Both drink were terrible. Very weak with no flavor at all. We got the chips and salsa with Queso and Guacomole. Bland chips and flavorless salsa and queso. We got our check and are headed to Mescal to get a decent Mexican dinner. Taco Bell has better food!!!! read more

Totally disorganized. We made a 7pm reservation for 4 and showed up early and still no table at 7:20pm with no sign of a table in sight. And not even a shred of acknowledgement by the very flustered and inexperienced staff that this could be perceived as a problem. Taco Bravo was EXCELLENT when it first opened and even when we started back after COVID re-openings. But in the last month or so, the taco meat lacks flavor and the steak , which used to be grilled and cubed, is now the serving size is smaller and has a lot of tough pieces of gristle. I hope they go back to lean, flavorful grilled steak they had before. read more

I don't like leaving bad reviews since ' taste ' is subjective. Fortunately I was raised in New Mexico with some of the best tacos etc... so I do try and not compare. To me the food lacks flavor at Taco Bravo - there isn't any seasonings on the meat etc.. so everything is bland . We got the tacos , burritos in the Past giving them a couple of chances because it is a cool little spot that is needed in our area. I think the best thing is the quesadillas but again the meat or seafood has no flavor. We got the combo plate and there was literally 2 tablespoons of the rice and 2 tablespoons of the beans ... we tried again and it was the same thing ..so confused by this ... beans and rice are relatively inexpensive- very surprised it was just a smidge 3 times in a row. So, sadly we wont go back ... And this is a ouch but we much prefer Baja Fresh up the street .. the food is just better. on a better note , the servers and bartenders are great - so very nice and friendly. read more

This is a new taco and tequila bar at York Road and Padonia, that has exactly the right feel for a fun place and delicious food. They have every type of margarita you can imagine and great Mexican beers on tap. The shrimp tacos were fabulous and our favorite was the steak quesadilla. Had lunch at Taco Bravo today. It is located where Goldberg's Bagels use to be. You won't recognize the space, to it is nicely decorated and the chairs are super comfy! Food was great. It is limited to a few basic items, nachos, taco's and quesadillas etc. But there were lots of choices about what kind of tacos. Each one is sold separately. Chicken nachos were good with lots of stuff. We had 4 different taco's and the chicken Cesar salad with chipotle dressing. It was all good, hot and fresh. We will definitely go again! read more
