I'll give this review a "great" rating because the tacos were incredible but I must say I was a bit disappointed in the service this time by PC. We ordered cocktails to start and waited. And waited. And waited. One in our party has a food allergy so they ordered fajitas without cheese or sour cream and asked for corn tortillas. Which look an awful lot like flour tortillas here at Taco Bravo. Her dish came with cheese, sour cream and flour tortillas. Ugh. It's easy to make a note on the ticket and tell the chef in order to prevent an allergic reaction in your restaurant. When the food came so did the cocktails. It wasn't busy for a Wednesday early evening so I'm not sure why so many marks got missed here but my chicken taco meal was DLicious. It made for leftovers to enjoy the next day all over again. This is our go-to for excellent street tacos. Que Rico! read more

We sat at the bar where the server was friendly, attentive and accommodating. A couple was sitting outside, and there was a large table of about six in the corner and another two or three people sitting at the bar in addition to us. So family night lead us to Taco Bravo. It's a nice little set up outta Timonium right off of 83. It's in the shopping lot so parking isn't that bad unless it's a packed night. Which it happened to be but the service was amazing as we were told it would be a 30 minute wait, but we ended up waiting like 15 minutes. Once we got seated the waiter was great constantly checking & making sure everything was good. We started with some drinks I got the Don Julio Flight which was great. I love when these are made properly we're you can actually taste the tequila. Then the main event I had the chicken tacos for $15. They were grilled to perfection & that alone made the dinner great. We came on a Sunday for lunch. We were fortunate to get a seat as other times we have had to wait. We received our order of chips and salsa and added a side of guacamole. The side guacamole was plenty for the three of us to share. You could taste the fresh lemon and cilantro. My daughter ordered 3 steak tacos. She said it is her favorite meal there and she got the dinner to include the rice. My mom went with two shrimp tacos, and one fish. She also got the dinner portion. They both enjoyed their meals and said they would order them again. I decided to go with the chicken flautas which are an appetizer. Although they were different from different flautas that I've had in the past, they were full of flavor and came with sour cream, pico de gallo, and guacamole! Had the fish taco dinner--3 tacos with rice and beans. The fish was battered and fried, good although a little less batter would be better, but it wasn't overly greasy. Shredded cabbage. There was a piece of lime, although it was hard to get the juice out. The beans were good. Rice was plain but fine. I chose flour tacos but there's also a corn option. It was one of the few places that was accepting orders, and for that, I already give them more stars than everyone else!! we were especially hungry, so we ordered everything. Bobby , was an aamaaazzimg server and was super welcoming even though I walked in pretty late. I had a pineapple refresher kinda drink and it was fresh and delicious. The chips and salsa made my day! Perfect amount of spice. I also had the taco dinner platter with lamb barbacoa, steak and Al pastor and everything was delicious. The meat was seasoned perfectly and the portions of the meat were a lot I must say. The black beans and rice were also very delicious. Definitely visiting again. Such a great time and awesome and happy hour. I really enjoyed the steak tacos and the fajitas. The margaritas tasted traditional and wasn't too overpowering with the alcohol. Great Spot for Any Time of Day, Especially Happy Hour!!! Stopped by Taco Bravo for an all-day happy hour and had a great experience. I tried a few different menu items including the steak and chicken tacos, chips with queso, Bravo wings, and a strawberry margarita. Everything hit the spot. Visited before going to visit Christmas lights at the State Fairgrounds, sat at the bar and our bartender Jason was fast, friendly and helpful. Ordered a steak taco salad and added chorizo for a small additional fee, one of the better taco salads I have ever had, the shell was tasty and while the bottom was a wet, it was not the soggy mess I have had elsewhere. I also ordered an Al Pastor taco in a corm tortilla, but wasn't too impressed, the salad was extremely filling so I didn't feel like I was cheated on a 4 dollar taco. I ended up getting two classic margaritas and while they tasted just fine and were promptly served, I found they gave me heartburn I never experience with mixed drinks. I plan to return when I come back into the area for thrifting but will probably skip the margaritas. read more

Stopped into taco bravo for a quick bite. Ended up sitting for 3 hours. Enjoying the drinks , chatting up with the bartender (Brie like the cheese) which made the best shots and crushes. Husband & I went on a Saturday afternoon, around 3pm, and much to our surprise the place was pretty packed! I've been on the search for some amazing nachos & Taco Bravo did not disappoint!!! Their happy hour is excellent and this most recent time we were in we decided to get the chicken burrito and the southwest egg rolls. Both were great and 15$ or below! I used to love this place. Was definitely my go to place near my house for happy hour but within the last year and half the food has gone downhill with the prices still going uphill. The food is not worth the cost even for their "happy hour" prices which are basically "regular" prices at other Mexican restaurants in the area. Drinks are very sugary and you feel like you are drinking a cheap artificial additive no natural flavoring. It is in a strip mall so parking is easy. The interior is simple, clean and open concept. Has high top seating (this is where you can sit to get the happy hour, or at the bar) and have tables and some booths. The service is always friendly which was keeping me going here even with the disappointing overpriced food but on my last visit the food was so bad I made the choice that it wasn't worth going back again. Which I'm bummed about because I like supporting local businesses. Don't get me wrong, if the food was amazing I would be willing to pay the prices but with sub par taste and quality it's not worth it for me. read more

We were the first guests of the evening and our server Pricilla was great. She had energy and was attentive. She took our orders immediately and it didn't take long for our food. I got the shrimp and steak quesadilla without peppers and it was delicious. The steak was tender and the shrimp was cooked right. And they weren't salad shrimp which was a plus. My husband got the Bravo burrito I think and he loved it. It was the first time he had a burrito come with fries. The only reason I didn't give 5 stars is because the floor is ridiculously slippery. I'm not sure if it is what the floor was cleaned with or if it's the laminate on the floor but it's a dangerous hazard especially in the rain. After 4 visits I can definitely say this exceeds expectations. The staff is friendly, the beer served cold and the happy hour specials, well will make you happy, the bartenders are attentive, and many of the customers seem friendly. I have had the chicken burrito meal a few times, and the fillings are plentiful. The side of fries seemed odd first time, but they are crisp on the outside and fluffy inside, nice and fresh each time. A lady next to me had a Lamb taco and she recommended it to me. the mood of the place is warm and inviting. Outdoor dining is moderately used and has comfortable late afternoon shade. As someone who has spent a lot of time in Mexico... this just didn't do it for me. And even for being stateside it just wouldn't even make my list of places to try food again. My wife and I don't eat out these days, so, we bring the eats home until things permit. We have carryout as a family at least once per week and cuisine varies. We haven't done Taco Bravo in awhile, so, what the heck?!? We phoned our order in for pick up at six. I ran late and everything was waiting for me at 6:30. A couple of orders of nachos, lamb tacos, two orders of chicken tacos and ceviche. The house was packed with suburban hipsters when I arrived to pick up the goodies. The food was just over $72. I handed $80 to the hostess and left the change for tip. After all, the kitchen put the order together. If we had partaken in house, gratuity would have exceeded 20%. Today isn't Tuesday but boy was I in the mood for some tacos and taco bravo didn't disappoint! This was my first time trying TB and it was great! We ordered by phone and picked up curbside! Here is what we got: 3- pork tacos 3- shrimp ( my fav) 3- chicken Southwest egg rolls ( amazing ) Old bay and buffalo wings ( amazing ) Large size mojito Large size margarita The serve was amazing even via curbside. The food was ready on time, was warm and so good. Very flavorful and great sauces. The chicken tacos were a little dry but the shrimp tacos were the true star! They were amazing and so flavorful. The southwest egg rolls are def my newest addiction and the wings well I could eat those on a daily. Overall I would HIGHLY recommend Taco Bravo. Pretty mid, 2 stars but they got a bonus star from me! Went for happy hour, was gonna get some tacos but in between the time I sat down and got a drink literally every single employee visible, were coughing into their hand so I was extremely turned off and didn't want to eat a real meal And still worried on if I'm gonna be sick this weekend messing around with those people. Would've given them 2 stars but the bartender was very accommodating. All I got was two drinks and some guac to go with the complimentary chips I was eating, and because he forgot the guac he comped my second drink. I love free!! So that's another star outta me! But though we live in this post Covid world it's something really gross about the entire staff being sick, coughing everywhere and then not even sanitizing their hands at the bare minimum. And another weird thing is when you walk in, you go to the host podium, I'm waiting to hear greeted and then a lady sitting at the bar turns around and greets me, girl! Get up and do your job. If you didn't know any better you would think she's a customer, I really hate stuff like that it's super unprofessional. And he kept having conversations with the bartender and literally disrupted his entire train of operation, and not for nothing that's probably why he forgot my guac. Just a very weird place. And one more thing I can't stand is when I walk into a latinx/mexican/hispanic restaurant and the entire front of the house is white, that's a bad look you guys. I knew already just by that sign alone the food would be mid, and I'm glad I didn't get anything because judging the reviews the foods not great but who's there for the food when they advertise a tequila bar?? My salsa and guac weren't really spectacular, and their happy hour prices on food are awful, literally if you check their happy hour menu some of the prices aren't even discounted or if they are it's like 2 dollars off a 15 dollar appetizer. The ambiance is authentic Mexican. It is in a smaller strip mall, but it's a cool vibe when entering. It's a little pricey, but you will leave full. The service is a bit slow, but we did not mind. I'm on a roll. This is the 2nd place I been this week. And I stumbled upon this place just looking through yelp and searching "happy hour". Food: where do I start."? I feel like all the happy hour food I had was pretty good. The egg rolls had that south western type vibe but were kinda of spicy. The house salsa and chips were good as well but again kinda spicy and very heavy on the onions. The chicken taco was pretty good and came with a green salsa of some sort. But again, heavy onions. The bean nachos were pretty hardy. This was the only item that was not on the happy hour menu. Each item was under 5$ besides the nachos (9$) so you really can't beat that. Drinks: so far, I have gotten frozen lime and peach margarita. Pretty good drinks. And my guess got lit if of just one :). I also had an pineapple crush (5$). The prices for happy hour are unbelievable you really can't complain at all. Now I personally love the food. And happy hour is from 3pm - 7pm. There is nice music playing and friendly bartenders. I'm definitely coming back. I Amy try some things on the regular menu. Cons: If I could give any advice I would say cut down on the onions. There was a guest saying the the salsa can sometimes be onion heavy. I could Kat help but to notice that there were a lot of onions on some of the items, I.e, tacos and salsa... just a bit too much. It would also be nice if there was a mild version of the salsa instead of the spicy version. But again I like all of it. A lot of places like this usually make the guacamole fresh to order. There is only one server at this establishment most nights. Service is very slow couldn't get a refill and took forever for appetizers and food to come out. The ambiance is good and the food is normally good here. Need more staff!!! read more
