Food is disgusting plus expensive asf. If you crave this fake Mexican food I recommend go to Taco Bell or chipotle, less expensive and more flavorful. Moving up to 4-stars and removing my "broken Halo" designation after an intriguing visit by chance on Friday. The owner and another family member was there. I discovered what's behind all the problems and price increases. First, 90% of the customers are wonderful, but 10% are abusive, complain wrongly and litter everywhere. I'd wondered if the story was deeper than what we see as customers on the surface and it is. This 10% isn't limited sadly on Taco Thursday or Tostada Tuesday and so people have been abusing the business and making it impossible to keep meat and beans in-stock, particularly the next morning as I've experienced this last year on Wednesday and Friday. The owner was cleaning up messes all over the property and street and so I discovered last Thursday they had to make almost 8,000 tacos. This is why the prices are higher for everything and on-top of that the distributors raised everything during the pandemic and still haven't lowered them. Even if you put less in them, it's quixotic and so I explained how I always get something else on the menu at regular price and try to limit my tacos to 5, which I'm generally sharing. They explained if more people (or even the bad 10%) did this, the place would be spotless, they wouldn't run out of ingredients and moreover the prices would likely be cheaper. They literally run out of food and can't get anymore often for another day, that's how extreme it has gotten. They're starting to not have room to stack taco shell boxes without them breaking on the bottom now, which shows how much folks have been abusing the business. They had a severe labor shortage the last year and have finally gotten to a decent amount of staff again which was why the hours got cut since the pandemic, plus they are learning how to make the food properly now. I asked about rate-limiting Taco Thursday and they said that the bad 10% would make things too terrible to instill a cap. Right before I'd pulled in, some guy tried to buy 20 tacos and demanded the discount price, despite it being Friday afternoon now. So the 10% of you who abuse this business on Thursday since the pandemic are ruining it for everyone. The owners aren't really at fault and they have a loyal dedication that's been severely tested. You can hate me all you want for suggesting this, but if people rate-limited their tacos to 5 a person (who's present, and not for an army to-go) on Thursday, I think we'd see things return to how they were years ago.We might even see lower prices for some things and lets not forget most of the people working here or either quite young, or retired, so they don't deserve the fury of unreasonable customers ordering 40 tacos apiece all day long and screaming at them. So really, these folks are trying hard and getting abused by a minority of customers ruining it for everyone else. You can imagine they have no impetus to open a second location ever again and frankly we should be happy they're still open and trying their best. So the next time you see someone being unreasonable and ordering a huge amount of tacos or tostadas in-front of you, consider explaining they aren't just holding everyone else up, they're why it's too expensive now. They deserve shaming...if not for them the place would still be cheap and open 24/7. Just try asking them if they really are going to eat 20 tacos themselves and my favorite, why they don't order that many any other day? The 90% of us need to take back our taqueria! Let's face it, most of us have been coming probably on average a decade here, or somewhere close. The scurvy 10% shouldn't ruin it for everyone. read more

Thoroughly disappointed. Stopped here for lunch because a PB&J just didn't sound good. Typically I run for the border but today I thought I'd show some Bravo love. Thankfully the line was short because it was almost 90 outside. Everyone behind the counter was masked which some other reviews indicated that's not always the case. The menu is decent size but it's a little Inconvenient when you have to ask what a menu item actually is. What's the difference between a super delight and a delight besides the price? I ordered a chicken delight taco and a mini nacho with extra cheese sauce. My total was $19.00!! Holly crap!! Almost $20 for a taco and a MINI nacho? Should have run for the boarder after all. This better be some good food! Well ... disappointment awaited My CHICKEN taco delight turned out to be ground beef. Basically this is a hard shell taco filled with meat, sour cream, lettuce and cheese. Then a smear of refried beans on a flour tortilla is wrapped on the crunchy taco. Wrapped in foil and placed in a bag. By the time I went to eat the taco, the crunchy taco shell had turned mushy. Fail. $7.00 ground beef taco?? Seriously? MINI Nacho - granted this was heavy for being a "mini" and I asked for extra cheese sauce yet clearly there wasn't any extra on there. It comes with chips, beans, more ground beef, tomatoes, peppers and shredded cheese. It's a decent portion size but again, way to pricy for what you get. Refried beans are stupid cheep and was the reason for the weight. This was $10.00!! If you're leaving the bar and need some greasy grub to soak up the booze and can't tell the difference from a $10 or a $20 bill then go here. Thursdays 1.29 tacos are reminds me of del taco and other fast food taco places. You get ground beef, lettuce, and a heaping of cheese. This isn't luxury food, it's throw back food, back in our child hood, these were how tacos looked like and tasted (the days before taquerias!) When I was a young kid. The shell is super thin and crunchy. The beef has flavor. Cheese is cheese. The menu has two meat options: chicken and beef. I saw some huge taco salads from other customers. Seating is exterior. Between the shells taco bravo is the best one. Chile verde burrito is my favorite thing on menu. I would ask for the tortilla to be a little bit warmer, there are tables outside of restaurant some in sunlight some under shade. Only one type of salsa it's mild but good. read more

Loads of meat and cheese on every item. This used to be my go to after leaving the bars but in my older days I still crave it. They have specials during g the week which are tostada Tuesdays and Taco Thursdays. Great spot if you're looking for some cheap and savory eats! They only have outdoor seating and people usually take their items Togo. No frills here you're just there for the food, the seats aren't comfortable and people usually leave a mess after they eat. I live closer to San Francisco but was recently in a wedding in Saratoga. I saw there was a Taco Bravo near where we were going and I made my husband stop here because I haven't had Taco Bravo in ages. As a side note, I was recovering from a stomach bug at the time but I was not going to miss Taco Bravo. My husband had never been but I swore that they had the best "Taco Bell" style tacos anywhere in the world. Been forever since I've eaten here, wasn't sure what to expect. Sure, it's an after-drinking destination but I went for lunch. Even on Taco Thursday the tacos are hefty compared to that other taco place, packed full of meat and cheese and not much lettuce to get in the way. An incredible deal at less than a third its regular price! The beef was well seasoned and the shells stayed crunchy the whole drive home. The bean burrito was enormous...I couldn't finish it. Should keep and reheat well. Flavor was good; needed a healthy glug of sauce though. It won't replace my sorely missed Del Taco in Campbell but I'm happy these guys are still around. First of all this place has always looked shabby - Just walking up to order feels dirty lol This place just looks like the kind of spot where someone dies from food-borne illness. I was born and raised in the area, and still reside. Never tried it before until my friend kinda forced me to try their food here. We both ordered the Nachos. The way I was watching it be prepared just gave me the feeling that these people take serious shortcuts. He Topped it off with a giant bare handed handful of that sawdust coated pre shredded cheese. We both ate our Nachos and my friend loves this garbage but to me it tasted like vegan meat does to a meat eater. Like filler. It tastes and feels in your mouth that it's like 40% mystery ingredients. It's the worst quality "food" I've ever had. It feels like it shouldn't be classified as food. It's terrible, and here is the best part - I had some of the worst stomach sickness I've ever had the next 48 hours. I texted my friend to see if it was just me, and NOPE. He also got really sick to his stomach. Taco Bravo holds a special place in my heart, because it reminds me of the period in my early 20s after turning 21. One too many fun nights in downtown Campbell were capped at Taco Bravo. Now that I've grown out of my party phase though, I can honestly say that I still like Taco Bravo as much as I did back in the day. Not like I crave it, but if I happen to be in the area I'm inclined to stop by. The food is probably not the healthiest choice either, but Taco Bravo is arguably a notch above Taco Bell in terms of tastiness. Typically I get a super taco, but tonight I got the mini nachos. So much for "mini" - the nachos were huge! I did ask for no nacho cheese, so I got extra shredded cheese. The shredded cheese wasn't melted, and if I got it like that was from anywhere else I would've sent it back. But the thing about Taco Bravo is that it's known for its piles of shredded cheese, especially in its tacos, so I didn't mind it one bit. Taco Bravo has the best quality taco shells/chips. The shell held strong and the ground beef wasn't greasy & had a great flavor. Great cheese to lettuce ratio & their hot sauce is STELLAR. Got a side of sour cream & a Hi-C Orange & I was to the moon.
