This is a solid Mexican food truck in San Jose, I would even consider it being the best in the area. It's always busy with online and in person orders, so using the online system is helpful for sure. I always love the super tacos and birria tacos. The meat is always so flavorful and cooked to perfection. I miss the grilled onions that always came with the tacos. My husband's favorite is the burrito since it has lots of meat and a bit crispy on the exterior. There is some outside seating in the park, but also great as takeout. Really recommend checking this food truck out!

This truck probably has something for that craving of yours - from Anaconda burritos to Birria spring rolls. They're located by a large park and you can check them out on their Instagram for opening times. They do close a bit earlier than your usual taco truck, but they're opened pretty early (11am- 9pm). If you come by in the evening, the line can be long, but service is prompt. Food: - Carne asada: tender and juicy - Al pastor: a bit dry and oily - Street Tacos: can never go wrong with these - solid. 10/10 - Taco Keke: The shrimp has a nice char and Smokey taste to it. One of my favorites. Large tortilla. 10/10 - Taco Tijuana: It was like an extra large supreme street taco. The avocado was a nice touch of creaminess, but the al pastor was a bit dry for my liking. I think having this with asada would've been better. 8/10 - Burrito Anaconda: HUGE. There was a lot happening inside that burrito. Normal burrito but just really big. 8/10 I do like that they let us fill up our own sauce cups (size is small though).

Great food, kind service. Made nice and quick. Salsa on the table was spicy and great. Will be back!

Five stars for the EL Chore was a banger! I brought my mom out for some grub and on the way back from walking we found this place on Hillsdale and Paul Moore Park. This spot is popular so arrive early because the line can get long with a wait to match. hahaha. I got an incredibly large carne asada deluxe quesadilla, they served it with three huge parts and they add grilled onions with it. Suffice to say that I will go back to this joint to order more food. Go! Enso forever! Birria bread bowl. Mulita. Churros. Birria spring rolls. "Art is like therapy; what comes up is what comes up. It may be dark, but that's what comes up. This might be my new favorite taco truck in California. I took one bite of their California burrito with asada and felt like I had a spiritual experience. Perfect flavors--bold without feeling aggressive, amazing grill smoke on the meat, fluffy fries, and fresh pico de gallo. $11.99 and MASSIVE; I could only eat half of it! They have a variety of house made salsas as well; one standout was the watermelon habanero. Service is pretty quick, and they've got a good selection of Jarritos as well as a couple options for agua fresca on any given day. There are a few plastic stools on the lawn nearby, but bring a picnic blanket and watch a soccer game in the park while you're scarfing down your food. Tacos el chore has got me tempted to move down here...

This spot has been on my list for a while and so glad to finally tried it. It is a taco truck by a park. So expect to do street parking. We ordered a few items and it took us a while (maybe approx 20mins) before we got our orders. This was my first time seeing a place that sells spring roll birria. The spring roll was SO crunchy, but sad that the birria itself was not as flavorful. We also got the vampiro with al pastor and their pastor was so tender, super well-marinated pork with some smokiness to it, 10/10. As far as the crispy taco, it was lighter that eating vampiro, but it did not really stand out flavor wise. This is definitely a hidden gem! And their salsa was so good too!

Getting through their huge portions is definitely a "chore." Tacos El Chore is a food truck that often posts up at Paul Moore Park on Hillsdale Ave near Cherry. My friends introduced me for lunch (and paid, so no prices forthcoming save for smudges on menu photos), at which point we ordered a bunch of stuff to-go. They seem to specialize in birria, and I tried a couple takes on it. The birria egg rolls come 3 per order and are pretty huge. They're crispy at first but can get soggy if you wait or soak it too long in Consome, aka the flavorful stew. Well, at least it's usually pretty flavorful; this consome felt oddly muted somehow, and I kept having to add one of the salsas (make sure to fill up your own to-go containers) such as mild tomatillo. Same deal for the quesibirria tacos, which seems to add gooey mouthfeel more than much flavor. Some of the other meats were more interesting to me overall. I had a lengua taco (possibly $2.50) which had tender, diced pieces of tongue. Cecina vampiro came with cheese and pounded-flat slices of marinated pork. Al pastor quesadilla (the super version, I think?) was the star with marinated pork that was even more tender. Radish slices and grilled onions were available with most plates and added texture and flavor to everything. Tacos El Chore are worth a try if you're craving tacos or related goodies. Give them a try if you come across them in the San Jose area.

    Burrito Anaconda Plus

Instagram brought me here and I do not regret it! Let me be honest, I hate burritos, but the burrito I saw on IG from Tacos El Chore made me so hungry, for $29 dollars it fed 4 of us. I got asada in my burrito , the meat in combination with all the ingredients mixed so well! Definitely coming back!

Alright this place might be best taco truck in the area. Ordered the super taco with carne asada, quesabirria tacos, and churros. Super taco was nice and crispy with melted cheese and the gauc and sour cream on top was perfect. Flavor is 10/10. Quesabirria tacos were super tasty and had such a good crunch to them. 10/10. The churros were AMAZING. Warm, fluffy, chewy and just the right amount of sugar. Came with chocolate sauce on the side which we used to dip and just so good. Friday evening and the line a little long but well worth. Found my new go to neighborhood spot!

3.5 rounding up. We ordered the Birria Anaconda Burrito and Birria Fries. Initially, Gavin was bummed that we had to share the burrito but I assured him that there is no way we both can even finish it. Like him, I don't like to share my food either so I understand the feeling of turmoil. The burrito came w/ consume, guacamole, and sour cream however, despite us confirming we'd need just 1 cup of consume and the guacamole on the side, they forgot about the consume, guacamole, and sour cream in the burrito. The birria fries was really good. I felt I gained close to 10lbs after eating it, but in life when you work hard, you eat good. The rice in the burrito was dry, the birria was good in flavor but because of the rice, it gave us the overall taste of it being dry. I loved the size of the burrito and the price can't be beat. The highlight of my experience was the birria fries. I liked that they accept cards and they give you a pager once you've ordered/paid. We waited about 12-15 min. A line slowly formed as we were waiting. If you are on a time crunch, call to place your order ahead. I'll give them another shot to try their pizza birria.

Lots of take out orders and dine in orders. I ordered 5 super tacos to share with different meats (pollo, carne asada, al pastor, carnitas and chorizo). The super tacos come with cilantro, onions, avocado, sour cream, cheese and pico de gallo. All the tacos come with homemade corn tortillas - you could tell they were fresh. The tacos are big, not small at all. The carne asada, carnitas and pollo was my favorite. Al pastor was good as well, chorizo was not that flavorful for me. However, they also have 3 types of salsas (green, red and a creamy orange) you can use to help add some more flavor if needed. I plan to come back here to try their burritos and tortas as well next time.

The tacos were good and the tortilla they used was quite thick. The enchiladas had good flavor as well, and I would be interested in trying their enchilada with the verde sauce next time. Their prices have steadily risen over time and they have updated their menu prices as well. One thing that elevated this restaurant to 4 stars is their sauce! The red sauce and green sauce recipe is definitely unique compared to other taquerias. The red sauce bottle helps with the flavor tremendously and without it I would have rated this place lower.

Most of the food is prepared in a food truck where you line up and order. Seating is next to the sauce bar and they have first come first serve seating. Typical culture is to put the sauce directly on the tacos when you receive them. They give sauce cups if you order to go otherwise they are reluctant to give them out. Currently they are constructing a building around their seating area which is new. This implies that they are generating enough cash to turn their food truck and seating area into an actual establishment. Onto the food review! Carne Asada 7/10 Lengua 7.5/10 Carnitas 8/10 Cabeza 8.3 /10 Suadero 8.5/10 Al Pastor 8.5/10 Suadero and Pastor were top contenders with the most flavor depth. Personally I liked the cabeza as it was very soft, but the flavor can't compare to the suadero. The carne asada lacked flavor in my opinion and was the least tasty out of the meats we tried. Carnitas had that great crunch you're looking for in a taco as it is seared excellently. Lengua was flavorful and super soft just like the cabeza which indicates that they were both braised to perfection. All choices are very solid albeit be prepared for a very greasy meal. The star of the show is their avocado salsa! They offered 6 other sauces in their sauce bar but the avocado salsa was superb compared to the others. This was the only option that had me coming back to sauce bar throughout my meal. They also offered pickled carrots, jalapeños, and onions at their sauce bar to help balance the flavors. Finally the best JD big back tip is to get the large strawberry horchata! It was so good we finished ours before even taking a picture of it! The flavor profile on that beverage is superb, imagine a creamy strawberry yakult that is the perfect option to balance greasy tacos. This is a hidden gem item as their strawberry horchata is significantly better than other restaurants version of it. They also offer other flavored horchata but the strawberry remains top tier.

They serve it with pineapple, which is the way it's meant to be done and a detail that tells you they actually care about getting it right. These are easily some of the best tacos in San Jose, and I don't say that lightly given how much competition there is in the South Bay. But the drinks alone might be worth the trip. Their Horchata and Agua Fresca are genuinely among the best I've had anywhere in the Bay Area and that's a real statement in a region with no shortage of excellent options. Went here for lunch. Very open and spacious. Workers are attentive and quick…read more Place has a restroom and a full bar. Menu is fully loaded. There is a QR code (see photo) Cali-taco: it's a good size, fries are crispy. We recommend this one. Would get it again. Quesabirria: 2.5/5 - it was just ok. Wasn't as flavorful as I've had before Super burrito: 3.9/5 - it's a hefty size. Very filling. I had to eat half otherwise I'd go into full nap mode after. I'd recommend it for any burrito lover and someone who can eat a lot.

02/02/26. Update.... Probably my 10th visit, and this time it was absolutely incredible…read more I always ordere "The Double Meat Carne Asada" Burrito, 8 times out of 10 it has been delicious, but Saturday was Top Notch, OMG. The meat was perfectly cooked, moist and No Chunks of fat at all, and there was plenty of meat as well, mixed with a perfect bit of rice & beans, cheese, a tiny bit of avocado (I always have extra at home for this + sour cream) and the dough is pleasantly thin. I throw this in a counter top oven, and while heating, the dough becomes wonderfully crisp... Ohlala. The restaurant itself is clean, inviting, big windows all around, an impressive bar, and several TV screens that however, makes it on the noisy side. Always a lot of families there, seeming to enjoy all different kinds of wonderful dishes. I got two meals out of this heavenly Burrito, and I will definitely recommend this place.
