Asada Fries
Zenny D.

Hits the spot! They loaded up my taco plate to the brim. I love how pillowy soft their tortillas are and gave so much protein. Rice was on the dry side and beans are beans. Service is normal and fast. We did a large order for the office and I'm not sure why the worker gave me a side eye when I asked for extra sauce (she only gave 4 green sauces for 4 orders). Are we supposed to all share sauces...? Green sauce is really good and orange sauce is very spicy. Will likely return despite the little blips in the food and service due to convenience.

On a whim we stumbled on this great place as we were in the area and it was an amazing find! It's located in a small complex area and the outside looks like any storefront. The burritos were heavy and huge. The first bite was a burst of flavor and deliciousness. I was thoroughly impressed how wonderful the burrito was. The al pastor meat was marinated and cooked so well. There were so many components of the super burrito. We'll definitely be back whenever we are craving for good Mexican food.

Today, the Husband and I needed something to hold us over, until We made it home for dinner, so to Lucy's We headed... we were 5 minutes away and she's been bookmarked for a while now, and today was the day where I found out if she's earned her stars. We decided to share the Grilled Vance burrito and We made it wet(mojado), with half green(verde), half red(rojo) sauce, seeing as we've never visited I wanted to know which one was best, and the red took first place. The burrito gets 4 stars, it was a bit small...too much tortilla for Me, I prefer more filling, especially for $16, and the flavor was average, but the texture of the meat was good. The gentleman who assisted us was top notch, he really looked out, and was very accommodating. He provided us with complimentary chips and salsa, as well as grilled onion and jalapeño. The service was 5 stars. The interior dining area consists of 3 basic tables and chairs. 2 tables that seat 2, and 1 that seats four. The ambiance 3 stars. We were too hungry to get a pic of the food, I totally forgot.

Great flavor and a really good value for the price! They clearly don't skimp on the toppings.

This is the only place that I get al pastor burritos. It's so flavorful and they give free chips with your order. The food comes out quickly!

Jenning L.

Make sure to pick up the menudo on the weekends! Service is fast and the food is good. We got the pastor/lengua super tacos this time but I'm sure the regular ones are just as good!

A fully loaded crispy taco! Can't go wrong with! Tasted good!

The food tasted good! I enjoyed the hard shell crispy tacos! Bomb! Packed and full of flavor! Can't go wrong with their salsa! We picked up a big family order. The service was good everything was there. Wish there was a little more chips in bag needed it for the nachos.

This was the Super Burrito and three sauces.

So dang good and worth the visit. Solid food and solid service. Came in around 7:30pm, they were busy, but I didn't have to wait long. I ordered after a family and it came out within 15min or less. Some people were dining in, some people were waiting for their order and they seemed really efficient in getting the food out. They have a just a few tables inside and some stools/counter along a wall to eat at or wait. Their menu is up on the wall and has details of everything that comes with an order. Order: Asada Fries $12.39 - yummm, French fries, cheese, meat, sour cream, pico de gallo, you just can't go wrong. San Jose Burrito $13.49 - French fries inside haha, cheese, guacamole, and sour cream. I chose Asada for the meat. It was a hefty size and very filling. Super Burrito $13.49 - just try it. You can customize it and it was also a hefty size, generous filling. I also went with Asada for this one. They also provided free sauces, but I don't remember the flavors. I just know they were spicy! And they even threw in a pile of warm tortillas on the house!! The people there were very welcoming. Their service, price point, and taste is worthy of a 5 star review. I'm happy to have this business in the neighborhood and I'm looking forward to my next visit.

I stopped by here to grab lunch to take home. I checked out the menu to see their offerings. The menu is displayed above the register. I decided on the super burrito with carnitas. The inside is small with just a few tables for dining in. Service was good. When I got home I noticed on my receipt, I was charged more than what the price said on the menu. I couldn't figure out why. I thought that was really strange. The only thing I could think of was that I asked for refried beans instead of whole beans. The employee never mentioned there would be a charge for that. The burrito was just okay. The carnitas were extremely salty and I was not given very much. In fact the burrito was not very heavy compared to what I'm used to getting other places. I did however like their green salsa. That was really good. Not sure if I will be back again. For the price I paid and for the extra unknown charge, I expected more. The rice in the burrito was hard and not fresh. I definitely did not get my moneys worth here.

Very delicious chicken tacos and beef. Great service, small place, better for a takeout because there aren't many seats. I gave only 3 stars because you can only buy drinks and not water cups. In addition, tables are not wiped after every guest. Too bad that cleanliness is not a priority.

But yet you look at the yelp review photos and and there is pico on the asada fries

This place is definitely overhyped. Theres barely any cheese in my nachos, just slapped on a bunch of refried beans. Depressing as hell.

I would suggest that the serve mention that when taking orders so we know. Just because it's at the very bottom of the menu I didn't notice it until I asked for a dessert menu. The food was so good! We had Mexican jambalaya, Carne asada plate, tacos Dorado, enchiladas with both sauces, parillada, enfrioladas (bean enchiladas) tacos de pescado, Don julio flight, multiple drinks and churros. The churros were really good although we wish there was a non filled ones too and to have the optionof if we wanted it dressed up because churros are already super sweet with the cinnamonand sugar dusted but caramel and whip cream was added along with a strawberry filling. We also ordered a tres leches cake but we didn't like the tres leches cake, it was too sweet, so sweet that we couldn't taste the filling which we assume was pineapple lol the color was yellow with pieces of fruit but we couldn't taste it. Overall the service was great and quick. I would definitely come back here.

Plenty of parking available since the restaurant is in a strip mall. It wasn't too busy when we got there, but then it started picking up. There was only one server working and she was really hustling to meet everyone's needs. Plus, she was friendly. I had the carne asada burrito, it was good but nothing over the top that made it stand out. My friend had enchiladas with mole. We were most excited about dessert and decided to share the churros and Tres leches. It was a nice touch that the churros and Tres leches did not come plain, a little pizzazz since they were both served with berries, whipped cream, and a cajeta style sauce. Both of the desserts were so good and a perfect touch of sweetness.

Then, they said they could seat us right away at a small corner table right by the main door. It ended up being tight but at least we didn't have to wait. It also wasn't an ideal spot because we'd get hit by a gust of wind every time the servers came in/out of the main door to tend to the guests seated outdoors. For drinks we got the strawberry agua fresca (seasonal), witch's brew (seasonal), and the Benjamin. The witch's brew was too strong for me, but the Benjamin was good and the alcohol taste wasn't too intense which is what I prefer. We shared the tres salsas + chips, ceviche tostada, pink tacos (braised spare rib), and salmon tacos. The ceviche tostada and salmon tacos were my favorites. Ceviche tostada was light, fresh, and flavorful, and the salmon in the salmon taco was cooked very well. The tres salsas + chips were ok, the chips were similar to Fritos and the salsas were on the watery end which made the flavors feel muted. The pink taco was decent - braised spare rib was pretty tender but I liked the salmon taco more. Service was wonderful, friendly, and they checked in frequently. Ambiance is lively and nicely decorated.

The staple letdown is the tortillas. The wonderful white/blue corn taste has been sucked out of them. Use your taste buds or take these reviews seriously. Ha but nicely made churros. The inside-out non-traditional chiles rellenos are odd and lack flavor too, Actually, in Texas, I made rellenos with my family. At Luna there's an underwhelming flavor and no satisfying last bite taste at the stem. I convinced myself their tacos are better. Better but not great. Finally there's the mediocre guacamole that should be called a "better than the store" dip. After everything said, the pitted mortar the guac is served best describes this place: Odd, "presented authentically" at the expense from any home I've eat at across the border - or at a hole in the wall here in SJ. But a great place to enjoy the day, admire the ambience of the Pruneyard and have drink.
