I wasn't too sure about this place from reading the reviews but I was working in the area today and it was really close by so I decided to check it out for lunch and I am not at all disappointed. I was greeted as soon as I walked in and invited to sit anywhere I wanted(I chose to sit at the bar). The staff were friendly and attentive. I ordered the chile and cheese morisqueta and handmade tortillas(made fresh that morning!) and munched on the chips and salsa that were provided while I waited for my food. The salsa was delicious. I got my plate in a reasonable amount of time and it was super tasty! The portion size was very generous(I took nearly half my plate and some tortillas to go). I ended up having a friendly conversation with the server and it turned out she's actually the new manager. Once I was about done eating, she offered me desert which wasn't on the menu. I couldn't decide between the rompope con gelatina and the flan(both made in-house). I decided on the rompope(which I know I'm gonna dream about tonight) and the manager offered me a small slice of flan to try(my mouth is watering as I type). This place was absolutely perfect for lunch. Everything was very reasonably priced especially given the portion size and the fact that the majority of the meal, or very possibly the entire meal, was homemade. The ingredients were fresh. The restaurant was clean. Service was fast and friendly. Honestly everything was perfect. The place may not look like much from the outside but don't let that fool you!
