From LA and Taco Boys is right up there with some of the best tacos out there. Love their asada which has a great charcoal flavor and tripas. Al pasto is ok. Not a great fan of the other meats, but salsa bar is awesome and music is always on and loud inside. Especially great after a spring training Dodger win! Definitely recommend. Service is just ok, but not an issue. Just mostly young guys who don't really care about service, but not bad by all means. Just doing their job. Nothing more or less. Well, as I sit here in what I like to call my final sixmaybe seven days of glory, I figured I'd treat myself to some tacos. And I must say, not a bad choice. The tacos were flavorful and satisfying definitely a solid four stars in my book. Service was a tad slow, but at my age, what's the rush? This place was legit. Simple tacos, quesadillas and a few other items. But tons of different protein options and a huge salsa bar. We were looking for something quick after a Dodgers spring training game in Glendale and this place was perfect. I forgot to take pics of my food because I scarfed it, but the carne asada tacos and quesadillas were perfect! Add lime and the verde salsa and it was yum! This is definitely a quick eat in or Togo place, not fancy or anything. The teamwork was awesome to see and they all were smiling and laughing like they were having a good time in the work place. When you walk in the place it's spacious with tables spread a part and a side bar with salsas and add ons to your tacos. The service is fast and made to order. Ok heard some things good and bad about this place so had to try it out. Just opened a few months ago and it's not far from my house. Got there on a Saturday night and it was pretty full (good sign). Loud Mexican music was blaring so everyone was talking loud just to be heard. Plenty of help there so everything was pretty fast. Ordered the pastor plate. Came with tortillas, lots of meat, beans, plus you could get condiments from the salsa bar. Yummm!! It was pretty damn good! Way better than expected. Very tasty and big portions. I got half carne asada and half barbacoa with corn tortillas and it came with beans. The carne asada is delicious, the barbacoa is delicous. It's so flavorful. I don't usually like restaurant refried beans but their beans were so flippin good. Very flavorful. There's a salsa and toppings bar and they give you a plate if eating there or a to go container to fill up for your taco toppings. My only complaint is I did also order a carne asada vampiro fajita style and they forgot it in my order. I went to the location off Camelback and 91st. I went there with my group of coworkers. I loved the music and atmosphere of the place. I ordered the bean and cheese burrito. Upon sitting down to eat, I start chewing something. I spit it out and discovered it was meat. I brought the concern up to the person at the register, his name was Pedro, he was not sincere about the situation. He didn't apologize. I told him I don't eat meat and he was like okay whatever. So while I love this place this location perhaps bites off more than they can chew too busy to maintain the quality that we definitely pay for so not only was the wait a living hell they burnt my vampoirs both of them were inedible on one completely and the other on one side. Mike got his usual carne asada burro with the beans and cheese inside and they gave him the completely wrong burrito. This is the second time we've come within recent of each other so now I'm like yeah nah this place ain't cheap to be doing all that. This location has BIG SHOES to fill compared to their downtown Phoenix & Tempe location. Staff was not amicable nor welcoming when order was placed. Food was mid. I ordered 5 tacos; Al pastor was dry like it had been sitting for a while. The birria was ok and luke warm not hot and a bit gelatinous from the fat, the tripa tacos were good, and by the time I got to my asada taco I was grossed out by the amount of flies I had to keep swatting so I tossed it. We had to clean our table before we sat down. The music... omg I get it I'm Mexican but I wanna talk to the person I'm with. Your trash receptacle they're dirty on the outside. Ive seen the other two locations constantly wiping those down among the tables, counters and so on. Really was looking forward to trying this place considering I had always seen the location downtown and heard awesome things about that location, so when I first saw this old circle K being turned into another Tacos Boys my mouth began to water in anticipation. It seems like it took months if not years for them to finally open. I went down to this location about a month after they had opened and noticed they weren't too busy so I stopped by to check it out. First of all very RUDE staff, I was the only one walking in at the time and in line I got no greeting, no Hello welcome in, no if you have questions let me know (considering it is a new restaurant that just opened) perhaps it's the young staff they have working behind the counter young kid it's probably his first job and doesn't take it for granted but then again what kid does. That blame falls on hiring managers for hiring a rude young kid not him. So I walk up and give my order I order 4 tacos and a Horchata. He yells at the young girl working in the bar area that he needs a horchata. He finishes taking my payment when he goes over to check on the horchata. He notices young girl hasn't even bothered to make horchata. So he starts getting into a little flirtatious argument about her not making my drink and he goes "wowww,I guess I'll make it myself, I'll remember this and I won't make you any tacos later" the young girl says "b*tch I don't need you to make me anything. Then they both look up at me like I'm the one who's imposing on their conversation. Just very unprofessional and cringy. Tacos were good but over priced in my opinion at the end of the day they're just a cheap thin corn tortilla and meat I'd say go down the street to Calafia for more meat and cheaper prices.
