I'm a huge fan of both Taco Boy locations with the downtown one being my favorite! I ordered a quesadilla and it came with lots of veggies. I visited this location in Cinco De mayo, and while they were quite busy, they were able to accommodate everyone and keep up with the orders. They also have an outdoor patio which is well decorated and looks like a great place to unwind and have a few drinks! Definitely check out this place!

Very convenient if you're visiting Folly Beach. About three blocks from the Pier. Theme is tropical with surf boards and such for decorations. Food was tasty. We stopped by for lunch after spending the morning at the beach. Nice spot to grab a bite. Nothing was bad or tasteless. Overall a good experience.

Very authentic decoration with great parking. Food was good but flour taco shells were cold. The service was good and friendly but it took awhile to get my food due to a large party out on the patio. I have eaten at Taco Boy before and the menu items have changed slightly. 3 tacos with rice and beans for is a good price point and portion size were large.

Taco Boy in Charleston is one of those solid consistent places were you will always find a table without a long wait. On a summer -not too hot- day we chose to sit on the patio in a shaded area and it was a lovely time shaded and cool. We ordered a pitcher of margaritas, which was really good and had at least 7 singles in it, so it was a great value. We shared the Nachos, which were good but could have used a better distribution of toppings to have a more evenly coated chip across. Also tried the chicken taquitos, which were good as a sharable snack. For the main meal I had the quesabirria , which was really good and large, I ended up bringing home more than half of it and I was very happy eating left overs for two more meals. I do wish there was a happy hour or some sort of specials to give me an excuse to go more often. Bonus point for Pepper, the resident cat that roams on the patio.

Very nice atmosphere, indoor and outdoor seating. They have an area for sitting and playing hard games in the patio area. Service was great, our waitress was attentive and offered selections. Food was not very memorable and also not as good as the Summerville location. QuesaBirria was very good! Ordered the choose three tacos. They were just missing something, like flavor! Al pastor taco did not taste like it was marinated in anything. Pickled red onions were the best part. Fried chicken taco was pretty good. There was a LOT of slaw on it and not much chicken. Chicken was well seasoned. Grilled shrimp taco was also not impressive. Just a lot going on, but nothing at the same time. I'd go back to try other things!

the service was chill. a bunch of older teenagers and young adults messing around but still doing what they need to do. the atmosphere is cute, perfect for a taco place. the tacos were about a 8/10, the birria was a BIT weird tasting and there wasn't a lot of the sauce of the side. the tres leches was perfect, so yummy. had chips and queso, guac, and salsa. so good and yum

Great FRESH food. Great Drinks. Awesome Service. We sat inside. Little chilly, but the outside looks like a nice place to sit.

4 stars for the friendly service and the daily happy hour from 3-6.. The place itself is also nice, tucked away from downtown with ample parking. The chips are your standard chips which seem to be packaged. I went for the chicken tinga tacos that were not memorable. They were very salty and the chicken was dry. My GF is a big fan of the frozen screwdriver. Taco Boy is average at best.

The food was good, lil salty but still god The service was great and people were nice. The food took a little extra time so they covered our appetizers! So nice. Clean place, good music!

Taco Boy is a great Mexican food spot near downtown with an awesome outdoor patio and friendly service. I ordered the nachos and a 3 taco platter with rice and beans. The ingredients are super fresh and tasty, and they have awesome vegetarian choices like jackfruit carnitas and vegan chorizo. Many gluten free options as well including corn tortillas as a choice for any of the tacos. Definitely worth a visit if you're in the area!

Multi level indoor/outdoor restaurant with multiple bars. I forgot to take pics of the food SMH. By the time it got to the table I had to ask for to go boxes so that I could leave and go to work. I did try the "famous" queso and chips fresh which tasted like melted Kraft singles American cheese which was a turnoff for me, but my friend liked it. My friend had a chicken quesadilla which she really enjoyed. I had a birria taco and beef with kimchi which both were too salty for me. The fried chicken taco and street corn were ok. I have to go back when I have more time to sit and eat while it's still fresh.

From the moment I walked in, the vibe was intimate, beautiful, and the perfect setting for a relaxed Saturday night cap. What made the experience truly special was the bartender. There's no traditional menu, instead, he takes the time to learn what you like and crafts drinks based on your taste. I've never experienced anything like that before. The level of knowledge and creativity behind the bar was incredible. Every drink he made was stunning and tasted even better than it looked. I was honestly so impressed that I couldn't even remember all the ingredients he mentioned because I was too busy being amazed at how good everything was. It was one of those moments where you realize there are real levels to this craft. I walked in thinking I knew a thing or two about mixing drinks at home, and left with a whole new respect for the art of it. The atmosphere, the personal attention, and the quality of the cocktails made this place feel truly top tier. Huge shoutout to the bartender, easily a 15 out of 10. Cool, knowledgeable, and passionate about what he does. If you're looking for an intimate spot for date night or just want to experience thoughtfully crafted cocktails in a beautiful setting, the Annex is the place. I will absolutely be back as soon as possible.

(On occasion, I rant about how we need more cocktail bars and wine bars that don't serve food at all or just snacks like nuts - don't get me started.) Last Saint is a really cool dual concept cocktail bar. The front of Last Saint is more casual - small, cozy, allows walk-ins. But you can also make reservations (or try to get lucky walking in) at the Annex. The Annex is their weekends-only cocktail experience in the back of Last Saint. You walk to the back of the bar and press ring the bell by the yellow door. Someone answers and seats at one of six seats at the bar and three small (but private) tables. The Annex is a no-menu experience. The friendly and creative staff ask you questions about your preferences for drinks and then make you something that fits the bill. It was personal and fun, and we enjoyed all the drinks we had. A reservation at the Annex is good for a 1.5 hour time frame, which was perfect for us to have two drinks before closing out and heading to our dinner reservation. We sat at the bar, which I loved, because we got to chat with the staff and watch them make our and others' drinks while we enjoyed our creative cocktails. The staff have a wide knowledge of cocktails and an almost endless supply of ingredients to choose from when making your drinks. A truly fun experience. One I haven't had in any other city. I wish there were more bars like Last Saint!

It sets the tone immediately, and the festive energy carries straight through the meal. We kicked things off with Bloody Marys and a Morning Fog -- simple, classic, and done right. They come as a small plate with three appetizer-sized tacos, and every bite was bright, fresh, and beautifully balanced. The Buddy the Elf Burger offers a choice of a single or double patty; ours was cooked perfectly. The smoky bacon really brought everything together and gave it that extra "wow" factor. We rounded things out with the O Come, All Ye Fried Rice with Hanger Steak, which was another winner -- perfectly cooked, flavorful, and incredibly satisfying. As if the meal wasn't great enough on its own, we happened to be there while Emily Curtis was performing. She's truly incredible and added such a fun, memorable vibe to the day. I'd be remiss not to mention Kevin our server. Go see him. He was great. The whole team works great together. Don't let the bar-like atmosphere fool you -- Prohibition is far from your typical bar food or bar scene. There's a great space in the back, and the elevated menu makes it absolutely worth the visit. My mom got the Bourbon and Clyde and she said it was incredible. Description also in picture. The orange foam and pistachio crumble was a great addition. Another great drink for autumn. My second drink was the Smokin Indo which was probably my favorite. They performed the smoked glass technique with applewood which was not only cool to watch but added a unique flavor to the drink. We always make a point to get the assorted cheeses when we are here because they make a great charcuterie board. They switch up the cheeses just like they change their cocktail menu. Love to sit at the bar because it is truly an art to watch the bartenders make these drinks and really adds to the experience. Everyone who works here is super kind and knowledgeable on their craft.
