Once again, no sauces in grub hub bag. I asked for 15 mild and 5 hot. The food went to waste.

There are a ton of holes in the wall that looks like someone had the intention of repairing and painting over and then just lost interest. Food? Looked really promising!! Burritos were pretty massive so I was pretty excited. They come out looking good, well prepared as far as the tortilla isn't coming apart. They did a good job putting together a burrito that wouldn't fall apart. But that's it. The rice is prepackaged, stale, fake yellow rice that has a weird, off putting flavor, I got carnitas and my wife got carne asada, neither tasted like anything at all. The carnitas ( a slow roasted pork ) honestly tasted like a pork tenderloin that had been thrown in a crock pot with zero seasoning. The bits in my burrito were grey and honestly off putting. I had really high hopes. Went out of my way because I have heard pretty decent things about this place. Saying I was underwhelmed is about as complimentary as I can be.

Lacked silverware for inside dining but seems to be set for to go more around 10 tables for seating. It is worth a try even more than once. Food is marked as authentic or texmex.

A Hidden Gem in Enfield…read more My mom was craving Mexican food after we went grocery shopping, so we decided to try somewhere different. I've tried a few Mexican restaurants around Enfield, but I definitely have to say Sabores Mexicanos Taqueria Cantina took the cake. I happened to find it while driving, and it turned out to be such a cute little hidden gem. First of all, they have their own parking lot, which I definitely appreciate. From the outside, you might not realize just how much character is waiting for you inside. It has that cozy, authentic hidden gem feel, the kind of place you might easily drive past without realizing how much culture, personality, and amazing food is waiting for you. The moment I walked in, the artwork immediately caught my attention. Every chair has a different painted scene representing a little piece of Mexico, and I found myself looking at each one because they were all different. Between the beautiful artwork, colorful decorations, tiled tables, warm wood, and traditional touches throughout the restaurant, the place has so much personality. It's simple, cozy, extremely clean, and genuinely one of the cutest little places I've discovered in the area. You can tell that someone put thought into the details and wanted the restaurant to represent more than just the food. The customer service was just as wonderful. I was greeted right away, they took my name and politely told me my order would need a few more minutes. Everyone I interacted with was friendly and pleasant. Since I had ordered quite a bit of food for my family, they even helped me carry everything out to my car. Those little gestures say a lot about a business and definitely didn't go unnoticed. Now let's talk about the FOOD. On the drive home, my 3 yr old could already smell everything from the back seat and kept telling me, "Mommy, it smells yummy!" As he kept smelling the food. Apparently that was my warning that he was about to eat a little bit of everything we ordered. When we finally got home and opened all the containers, my first thought was WOW!!! you get A LOT of food for the price. And when I say a lot, I mean A LOT. The portions were incredibly generous, especially for what we paid, and everything looked fresh and appetizing. We ordered the chicken taquitos, which my son loved, and two chicken empanadas, which he loved just as much. I had the chicken enchiladas, which are always one of my favorites, and they absolutely did not disappoint. The chicken wasn't dry at all, the sauce was perfect, and the rice was seasoned really well. I'm usually not much of a beans person, but even I enjoyed their beans and somehow my picky toddler was eating them too! But I HAVE to talk about the nachos!!! Nachos are something I'm usually hesitant to order for takeout because by the time you get home, the chips are soggy and everything has turned into one big mess. Not these! The chips were still crunchy, there was just the right amount of sour cream and guacamole, and we ordered ours with steak. The steak was flavorful, they definitely weren't stingy with the toppings, and the portion was huge. These were easily some of the best takeout nachos we've had. We also ordered the Molcajete Mixto for my parents, and they absolutely loved it. And Sabores Mexicanos earned some serious bonus points here because my dad is PICKY. Usually he will find something to complain about when it comes to food. This time? Nothing! Instead, he asked me, "Where is this place?." What impressed me the most was that it wasn't just one dish that was good. We ordered several completely different things for the whole family, including food for a picky 3 yr old AND a picky adult, and everyone genuinely enjoyed what they ate. Between the generous portions, reasonable prices, fresh and flavorful food, cleanliness, beautiful atmosphere, and genuinely kind customer service, this little place deserves so much more attention. There aren't that many Mexican restaurants around this area that really stand out to me, so finding somewhere that impressed the entire family was such a nice surprise. Next time, instead of getting takeout, we definitely want to sit down and eat there so we can enjoy the atmosphere and really take in all the beautiful artwork. My parents already want to go, so I think another visit is definitely happening. Sabores Mexicanos Taqueria Cantina, you officially have some new customers. If you're in Enfield and haven't tried this hidden gem yet, give them a try. And come hungry because they definitely feed you! Great portions, great prices, delicious food, wonderful service, and honestly one of the cutest little restaurants I've stumbled across in a long time.

Five stars for Sabores in Enfield…read more If you want fresh Mexican food and strong service, this is your spot. The chips come out warm and crisp. The salsa has real flavor, not watered down. The guacamole tastes fresh and made to order. The tacos are packed and cooked right. The carne asada is tender. The chicken is seasoned well. The portions fill you up without feeling heavy. The margaritas are balanced and strong. You taste the tequila. You do not taste sugar. Service stands out. You get greeted right away. Food comes out hot and fast. The staff checks in without hovering. The place is clean. The vibe is relaxed. You can go with family or meet friends and feel comfortable. If you live in Enfield or you are close by, go try Sabores. You will go back.

The food was delicious and the margaritas were both tasty and potent. Free chips and salsa, with the added plus for me being that regardless of which taco plate I chose, they gave me the option of crunchy (hard shell) tacos, which I prefer. The service was also attentive and courteous. I think someone had commented that this is not a first date venue, but for a casual dining experience it will work. The decor is lively, with traditional music enhancing the ambiance, but not loud at all, so chatting it up is easy.

Over the years, I've vacationed in Mexico and worked for Big Sugar in Belle Glade, so I'm no stranger to authentic Mexican cuisine. As soon as I walked in, I was greeted with a warm smile and a friendly "¡Hola!"--spoken w passion. Luckily, I know enough conversational Spanish to keep up, and I was seated near the front of the restaurant. The colorful menu practically told me what to order: Sopa de Camarones, Birria Tacos, and a fresh Jugo de Melón (watermelon juice). The waitress was incredibly welcoming and soon returned with a basket of warm tortilla chips and three kinds of salsa. That's when I knew--I had found the real deal. One salsa was mild, the second had a medium kick, and the third--an orange one--was pure fire . I laughed to myself and thought, "Yup, this is going to be good." And it was. All three salsas were absolutely delicious. Then came the food: a steaming bowl of shrimp soup and a plate of mouthwatering birria tacos. The smell alone made my stomach growl. The shrimp broth was rich and flavorful--absolutely hypnotic. I'd order it again without hesitation. As for the tacos? I smothered them in the green salsa and devoured them so fast, it was like I was drinking them. I was that hungry--and they were that good. This was the first truly authentic Mexican meal I've had since leaving South Florida. I'll definitely be coming back.
