Well, I've driven past this Taco Bell about a 100 times in my life and have never gone in until recently. You always just wanna power through from CA to Reno with no stops...but, kids will change ya. They make you stop every 10 minutes, or at least that's what it seems like. Anyway, so happy to have stopped into this little gem. First off, it was super clean from the dining area to the bathrooms. Of course, the food is Taco Bell food...so you either love it or don't. I love it, and everything was piping hot and cooked well. I hate it when my quesadilla is like barely grilled and the tortilla has no crunch. They nailed it here. The bean burrito was full of beans and they were so hot, I almost burned my mouth! I'll take that any day when the alternative could be a bean burrito that's semi-solid cause the beans are lukewarm. The whole experience was great, and it held us over til we got back home. First off the daytime Manager on the 12th was less than useless after getting charged for food I didn't receive he told me there was nothing he could do even with all of the receipts that confirmed the order. like what the hell are they paying you for. do better next time. 10 out of 10 would recommend driving to gold rotisserie instead!!!! read more

Service was disrespectful and literally laughing while I tried to figure my order out. Overcharged me for the quesadilla meal by separating charging each item and soda. Then failed to give me the soda. They were "out" of or "don't serve" many menu items. They overcharged me by about $9 and did not give me my drink. Was extremely rude and worse when I called and asked to be charged correctly and refunded fore the soda. Man was rude said he was manager and just not right. Food tossed together. I had to ask three times for Napkins untensils and green sauce which ironically he was very demanding for the $.25 cents which is ok, but then overcharged and doesn't give me what we paid for and ordered. I stopped here to use the restroom, because the gas station rest room was out of order! The facilities were fully stocked, and clean. There were a few folks who missed the trash when tossing things, but there was nothing gross anywhere. It was pretty quiet, with some chill music playing and none of the employees harassed us about using the bathroom without buying anything. I appreciated that! They have a ton of TESLA charging stations in the parking lot and ample space all around. Drive thru seemed pretty efficient since folks didn't spend a lot of time in line. read more

I have been going to Taco Bell since I was 12 years old. That's about 43 years. I know the food well. I can't believe what they are passing off as a taco and burrito. The portion was so minuscule that half of the taco shell was empty. And the burrito was the same. Absolutely ridiculous. When I went back in to show the manager he said, "That's the portion." This review has eyes for one menu item only...the MEXICAN PIZZA. Vegetarians know the past pain of ordering a Mexican Pizza through the drivethru. It used to go something like this: "Mmm, can I get a Mexican Pizza with No Beef" "No Beans?" "No, no Beef?" "Okay, so no Beans.." "No, No MEAT please. Yes to the Beans!" "Ahh, okay! That will be $2.99" Well, it's no longer the 90's and the 'Bell has simplified what my little teenaged brain failed to grasp - just ask for a VEGGIE Mexican Pizza! The menu offers Veggie and Regular too. This Taco Bell is clean and organized. You have the option to order through the drivethru or via a kiosk inside. The employees are busy whipping up your food! There's a magnificent soda dispenser - every flavor of Coke, tea, water and assorted flavored drinks. The Mexican Pizza is now north of $5 but I'm not making just 7.25/hour any longer. While my pockets can afford it, the bod isn't quite so generous. It's a rare and satisfying indulgence to hit up Taco Bell every so often. read more

Really decent taco bell fare, conveniently located right off the freeway. Plenty of parking space, and take note of how clean the place is.(Impeccable). Service and Food are on par with every other taco bell place. I and a few others even installed tire chain on the lot and nobody from the restaurant gave us any warning. Hadn't been to a Taco Bell in years, but we were in a hurry and it was close to the gas station where we filled up. I'm not a connoisseur of fast food, but we were able to move quickly through the drive through, sit in the car and have our dinner. I had the Nachos Bell Grande and though I just said I don't eat much fast food, I occasionally indulge in that fake cheesy looking stuff on nachos, especially at baseball games. So I was in a moment of bliss. Save half of it and the taco for the next day. Glad to have had it readily available. The order was complete, no errors. People working there are pleasant. No worries. The worst taco bell I've ever been to. We were here waiting for 30 minutes and they didn't make our food or hand us our drinks. We had to ask for our drinks 15 minutes ago and then asked about our food and then nothing happened, while 4 other people + at least 3, if not more, drive thru people got their food... I asked where our food was and if we could have a gift card for making us wait for 30 minutes and they declined. At this point it's been about 40 and still haven't gotten our food. We wanted something quick on our way back home. Don't come here. Rude staff and dirty looks - "she said she waited an hour?" with snarky attitude talking to one another that I overheard and so I spoke up and said no, I said a HALF hour. Also, yeah, it's Truckee, but it was freezing inside. Someone else while they were eating also got the wrong order. AND a separate customer said "this place does suck, best of luck to you guys" on his way out. This Taco Bell is actually very poorly run. All orders go through the Koski. Ok what ever.... But a man with poor vision and clearly has a walking stick (blind) told me that he could not see the koski to order. So I got the attention of an employee and asked if they would take his order. The employee asked the manager then came back and she told him straight up that she couldn't take his order. The blind man was in disbelief that they wouldn't take his order. Luckily there customers have better service then they do and stepped up and took the man's order. I don't think there manager is very well trained because I believe they are required by Ada to assist anyone with a disability that asks for help. Just asking for a law suit. Management is completely incompetent. The drive-thru still had four inches of snow on the ground causing my car with AWD to hit the sides and an Elantra to get stuck. When I complained at the window, nobody did anything, at which point the Elantra got stuck; so I went inside to inform the management. When he realized I was pissed, he went outside and put a chair and caution side outside the drive-thru with the Elantra still stuck in it. The parking lot was shoveled out decently with less snow on the ground. Again, the drive-thru itself was clearly hazardous and management should have made sure it was safe before allowing people to drive through it. I guess it's kinda just based on if someone feels like working that day or not? Or maybe if Mercury is in retrograde it affects their hours. Maybe they change their hours based on the moon cycle. That doesn't mean your food will be thoroughly cooked or warm tho. Don't get your hopes up. So yeah, kinda defeats the purpose of "fast" food. Workers are rude and act like they're doing you a favor by doing their job. They obviously don't want to be there, totally understandable. The place sucks. I don't want to be there either. A few months ago we went by to get food and I think it took over half an hour. It wasn't busy or anything. If the workers are paid more than $10/hr that's crazy. Seriously blows my mind how people can be so bad at one of the simplest jobs to exist. No sign on the freeway but Yelp got us here--it's located behind the Chevron station. Clean restaurant, polite staff, with normal Taco Bell food. In a beautiful snowy setting (early March). Only complaint is the water in the bathroom was cold and there were no paper towel dispensers in the bathroom-just one air dryer. Consistently inconsistent ? Never get the same amount of beef in my taco or chicken quesadillas, mini chicken quesadilla is always spilling out of the tortilla and messy. I know it's a fast food restaurant but better quality service and the same amount of food should be the norm . Wendy's and in&out have the most consistent service and quality. Why can't Taco Bell ? I drive for a living and visit a lot of different taco bells. This is by far the best one in California I'm convinced. The quality of the food in noticeably better. The crunchwraps have some size to them . The bean burritos have girth. The young guys they have working the drive through are always super efficient and respectful. Taco Smell! Typical spot right next to a Chevron, so easy to grab a bite after pit stopping for fuel to and from Tahoe. The food is exactly as you would expect it, so don't expect the world but do expect tasty cheap eats that kill you from the inside out. the only gripe about this place is that the parking lot is odd and the drive through even odder! Other than that the help here is funny, my friend messed with the person working the drive through, but the girl was super cool and laid back about the joke. Ordered the nachos Bell grande there was maybe less than tablespoon of nacho cheese sauce and no meat and very little sour cream and no tomatoes and no shredded cheese. Ordered the taco supreme they were out of lettuce. Paid $9.40this is the first time I felt like I got ripped off at Taco Bell. Beware they don't give a shit. The food has no love. read more
