I visited the Taco Bell in Rehoboth Beach, Delaware on January 19, 2026, and was honestly shocked by the pricing. I ordered two Chicken Chalupas with chicken and cheese, and my total came to $14.78. To make sure this wasn't a mistake, I checked prices at other Taco Bell locations. At the time, a Chicken Chalupa was about $4.79-$5.29 in places like Annapolis, Salisbury, Ocean City, Venice Beach, and even New York City. This Rehoboth Beach location charged nearly $7.40 for a single Chicken Chalupa, which is far higher than other tourist and high-cost areas. I even asked the cashier if the price was correct, and she confirmed it was. While Rehoboth Beach is a tourist town in the summer, it's very quiet in the winter, and this location isn't even near the boardwalk. Many restaurants adjust prices seasonally, but this one clearly does not. I paid because I was craving it, but I will not return. The pricing feels extreme and unreasonable, especially for families. For that price, I could have gone to Chipotle and gotten a full meal for less. Completely unacceptable. read more

The worst service. Absolutely no need to be rude through the drive thru. My app wasn't working as fast as I got to the window and so I had just put the order in and the lady was so rude about it. Then when I pulled to the drive thru after she scolded me for holding up the line which there was no one behind me. I understand there are time budgets and such but seriously, no one behind me. So when I get to the window. She doesn't even say hi. Just opens the window snapping back and saying we of da Baja blast so which wan you want? Uno I ask what's zero sugar since I am diabetic. The people working there, work hard and do their jobs, but there is always someone who is having a bad day and wants to take it out on the customers, in this case, threatening violence. I placed a mobile order in which I ordered Chalupa's. When I arrive there, I asked the man behind the counter for my order and was told to wait about 10 minutes for the order. I sighed because that's why I put the order ahead of time so it'll be ready when I got there. The man behind the counter tells me that their fryer is broken down, so they won't be able to make my Chalupa's. As he's telling me this, the shift manager states the same thing again and I asked her and the man behind the counter, so what are we gonna do about this order as I have paid for it. I ask if the Chalupas be replaced with similar item. The man behind the counter says yeah, no problem. All the sudden, the guy working at the drive-through starts saying that what are "we supposed to do work miracles and fix the fryer?" I look around to see if he's talking at me as I have never spoken to him. He keeps on talking and saying that he's going to take me out; threatening violence. I look to see if there's anybody in the drive-through, and there is no one. I know people have bad work shifts, but this guy wanted to fight just because I asked if my order could be modified. The guy behind the counter saw the situation and again apologize for the order. I told him he had nothing to apologize, the machine just doesn't work. We ordered online, went to get our food, and when we got the bag we saw it was leaking. So we pulled over in the lot to see all of our tacos / burritos were messily thrown in, and they were breaking through their wrappers and dripping everywhere. Even though the food came out fast it was very fresh. The eating area is clean and enjoyable as well. We were in the drive up with only one car ahead of us waiting on food. The lady took four times to get our order correct because she was giggling and talking with others, including the customer in front of us.
