I visited the Taco Bell in Rehoboth Beach, Delaware on January 19, 2026, and was honestly shocked by the pricing. I ordered two Chicken Chalupas with chicken and cheese, and my total came to $14.78. To make sure this wasn't a mistake, I checked prices at other Taco Bell locations. At the time, a Chicken Chalupa was about $4.79-$5.29 in places like Annapolis, Salisbury, Ocean City, Venice Beach, and even New York City. This Rehoboth Beach location charged nearly $7.40 for a single Chicken Chalupa, which is far higher than other tourist and high-cost areas. I even asked the cashier if the price was correct, and she confirmed it was. While Rehoboth Beach is a tourist town in the summer, it's very quiet in the winter, and this location isn't even near the boardwalk. Many restaurants adjust prices seasonally, but this one clearly does not. I paid because I was craving it, but I will not return. The pricing feels extreme and unreasonable, especially for families. For that price, I could have gone to Chipotle and gotten a full meal for less. Completely unacceptable. read more

So disappointed! With this location being out of commission since the fire I was hoping it would be a pleasant surprise on service and food. It wasn't. Went thru drive thru, the order screen is blacked out and note apologizing and just to ask employee on any questions on menu. The order was so mixed up, didn't have my food that I ordered. We used the drive thru last Sunday night. The gentleman was nice, VERY nice. I even commented to my girlfriend as we drove off that he seemed a little too nice lol. Well, I ordered the three hard shell taco meal. The bag was light as a feather but in haste I drive off. I went to take the taco wrappers out and they were loose and messy. Ok, not too bad. One hardshell taco had about four shredded cheese, maybe 10 tiny little pieces of iceberg lettuce and a piece of steak that was half the size of my pinky. The other two taco shells were no better. The people working there, work hard and do their jobs, but there is always someone who is having a bad day and wants to take it out on the customers, in this case, threatening violence. I placed a mobile order in which I ordered Chalupa's. When I arrive there, I asked the man behind the counter for my order and was told to wait about 10 minutes for the order. I sighed because that's why I put the order ahead of time so it'll be ready when I got there. The man behind the counter tells me that their fryer is broken down, so they won't be able to make my Chalupa's. As he's telling me this, the shift manager states the same thing again and I asked her and the man behind the counter, so what are we gonna do about this order as I have paid for it. I ask if the Chalupas be replaced with similar item. The man behind the counter says yeah, no problem. All the sudden, the guy working at the drive-through starts saying that what are "we supposed to do work miracles and fix the fryer?" I look around to see if he's talking at me as I have never spoken to him. He keeps on talking and saying that he's going to take me out; threatening violence. I look to see if there's anybody in the drive-through, and there is no one. I know people have bad work shifts, but this guy wanted to fight just because I asked if my order could be modified. The guy behind the counter saw the situation and again apologize for the order. I told him he had nothing to apologize, the machine just doesn't work. He told me he wasn't talking about the machine and then handed me a medium cup. I told him I didn't order a drink and he's like "I know" and apologize again. I hate leaving bad reviews, and I feel like a jerk leaving one for a fast food joint specifically because I feel like there's not a lot that can go this wrong, but wow. We ordered online, went to get our food, and when we got the bag we saw it was leaking. So we pulled over in the lot to see all of our tacos / burritos were messily thrown in, and they were breaking through their wrappers and dripping everywhere. Even that wouldn't be Enough for me to complain, but then we checked and saw 3 items were missing. Ok, not the end of the world. Awful service. No consideration for the customer. I've seen them deny people in line for food after their lobby closed. Telling them the person in front of them was the last lobby customer. This person was on a bike so they left with no food (you can't drive a bike through the drive through). Worst Taco Bell ever, I keep going back because it's the only one within twenty minutes of my house and it's on my way home from work when exhausted. They consistently don't answer their phones or the drive thru, or give some completely ridiculous excuse why food either isn't available or will be a "30 minute wait". Latest shenanigans are asking you to pull forward to wait for your food so they don't have the timer counting how long you are waiting. I have been to a lot of Taco Bell's in my time and this one if one of my favorites. The workers at this location are very friendly and they get your food out fast. Even though the food came out fast it was very fresh. The eating area is clean and enjoyable as well. We were in the drive up with only one car ahead of us waiting on food. The lady took four times to get our order correct because she was giggling and talking with others, including the customer in front of us.
