Took 50 minutes for 3 items. Items stale when received. Uncooked rice in burrito. The worst Taco Bell experience I've ever had.

Their menu is extensive and impressive; they have some all-star dishes on their permanent menu as well as a rotating daily menu with a legendary lineup of seasonal items. I really appreciate that they have dishes that are hard to come by such as lentil loaf and lasagna, and these never disappoint. The lentil loaf is unique; it is a little brick of lentils (not your traditional sliceable mush of breadcrumbs and minced veggies). It's very well seasoned and the tomato sauce on top is not overly sweet. The mashed potatoes and mushroom gravy and (very) garlicky greens make it a great meal. The lasagna is one of my favorite dishes. It's pasta-free and just made from layers of sliced zucchini and other veggies sandwiched with their delicious crumbly housemade cashew cheese. The herby tomato sauce is super flavorful. The side salad and garlic bread that accompany it are great also; an ultra comforting meal. We enjoyed the macro meal, although honestly not as much as the other dishes. The pan-seared tofu was delicious, but the arame seaweed salad was super seaweedy and salty - a bit much for me. I'm also not sure why they didn't serve it in a bowl, which would have made the rice etc. easier to eat. It seemed to be missing something - perhaps avocado, or a hunk of sweet potato. A few items at the Garden Cafe are a little perplexing, compared to how perfect most of their food is. The tempeh is just ok. It's heavily marinated in a sweet and salty sauce and kind of strange. Also disappointing that it's just a big brand tempeh rather than one of the local tempeh brands available in the area. The housemade focaccia is also bizarre. The texture made me think it was gluten-free (but it's not). Is it whole wheat?? If that's the case, awesome, but they should mention that on the menu, so you aren't taken aback when you don't get pillowy airy bread and instead get something flat and gray that could be mistaken for a biscotti. We LOVE the Garden Cafe and wish more places like this existed serving organic classic meals. We wish they would open a location in New York City, but until then, we will be making the drive!

The food is tasty, good portions, very clean and appealing interior and varied menu with lots of interesting breakfast options. Service was good. The experience both times was fine. They have put substantial effort and resources into this place, with nice lighting, desert displays, and bright, large laminated menus with nice pictures and descriptions. The issue was the after effects of eating the food. Both times I had negative stomach/ digestive problems for several days and nights after eating at the Arango Cafe. Without going into too much detail, I suffered substantial discomfort and would go as far as describing it as an illness requiring repeated visits and time spent in the bathroom. I suspect that it has to do with the shortening, or perhaps lard that is being used. Both times I had the flan (custard dessert), so perhaps that was an issue. Other than that, I ate enchiladas in green sauce, and a beef burrito. So while I enjoyed the food and ambiance, I will not be returning to the Arango. Cafe.

It was perfectly constructed with delicious tender carne asada. I say 10/10 on flavor! My only criticism is we both got our fries about 20 min before getting our burritos. Soooo yea we ate all our fries by the time the burritos came. And that's after we waited at least 30 min just to get the fries. The waitress was sweet and apologized for the wait. Anyway the carne asada made up for the wait.

Whether I've lived keto or gone with my bestie who is pescatarian, we have always had our needs met. I have enjoyed breakfast, lunch and dinners here and enjoyed each one! Their coffee to go is great too. Every staff member I have interacted with has been great---friendly, attentive and helpful. Each visit has been extra special due to servers, bartenders and cooks. The owner, Jeremy, is wonderful too! You can tell he truly cares about his business, his staff, his customers and the community. The ambiance is cool! It's got some surfer touches that always makes me feel like I'm on vacation in key west, versus at a spot in Connecticut. If you haven't been here, you gotta put it on your list!

I go all the time, and every visit hits the same way: comforting, consistent, and full of that small‑town charm you can't fake. The breakfast tacos are my personal obsession packed, flavorful, and somehow both hearty and fresh at the same time. And the chicken cutlet? Perfectly crispy, perfectly seasoned, and the kind of thing you think about later in the day like a little food daydream. The staff keeps things moving with kindness and ease, and the whole place has that "everyone knows your name" vibe without trying too hard. It's the kind of spot where you settle in, sip your coffee, and feel like you're part of the town heartbeat. This one's a bit further than I normally trek, but decided to try them anyways. Got here early and the place was quiet. The plaza is relatively new and this was the only non-chain I could find there. Wandering in, had the front end lady greet me. Debated on the French toast, but decided to buck the trend and try their tacos. Also ordered a latte, which took a few minutes to make. Coffee is lavazaa which is okay coffee. Coffee wasn't too strong but it also lacked any flavor beyond milk. The tacos did take about 15 minutes to make, and I appreciate the attention but it did takes while to come out. The tacos were actually pretty good! The delay was because they did a heavy burned cheese layer on the tortilla. The avocado creama, creamy eggs, spicy homemade chorizo, and pickled onion lead to a very well balanced and well seasoned bite. Plus they were huge in size but every bite offered a similar experience. If I had to be a stickler, there was a lot of potatoes on each taco. Filler is fine, but I did notice the amount. As a taco, it's a very solid contender to one of the better tacos I've had in ct. the quality is there, the quantity is plentiful, and the price is right. If I only got the tacos, and I was warned that it would be a few minutes to make sure they came out right, then it would be a five-star taco. Because the coffee is okay and there was a bit of a wait, I did dock a star because of it. It's a great place for a local breakfast and lunch spot. So long as you go in knowing that it might take a little bit to get your order then the wait is worth it. The vibe is chill, the food is good to great, and the staff are very nice.
