Enchiladas Oaxaca (9/10): These were probably the best enchiladas I've had. The chicken was tender and super flavorful. The mole, blue corn tortillas, and cheese were all incredible. The black beans were also very savory. LOVED the guac as well. Rice was standard. Chimichangas (8.5/10): I accidentally ordered chorizo. I think these would have been better with a different meat, but they were delicious nonetheless. Very nicely fried. Filling was quite good!! Tres Leches (7/10): The cake itself was executed very nicely. Moist and good sweetness level. The frosting wasn't that good, though. Yummy! My husband and I stopped in on a weekend night and the parking lot was so packed but we still got steamed right away. Our waitress was pleasant. We each had a house margarita which were tasty and strong. We shared the guacamole, I had the carnitas burrito and my husband had ground beef chimichangas. Huge portions and all were delicious. The only odd thing is there's signs in the restrooms telling you not to put toilet paper in the toilet and to instead put it in the garbage cans. Huh? I did not follow that rule. read more

YOOOOOO THIS PLACE IS SOOOOO GOOD. I think for a lot of Americans (including myself), a lot of us are accustomed to large portion sizes, BUT DO THEY MAKE UP FOR THEIR PORTIONS WITH THE DELICIOUS FOOD THEY BE OFFERING UPPP MY GOODNESS. Such a fabulous find, we were here probably 10 years ago and this trip I tried to find the restaurant I remembered going to, a fabulous Mexican place and thought it was over the boarder in NY but was happy to find it right here close by. We had a great meal then and had a great dinner now. Such a delectable take on what we think of as Mexican food here in the US. Probably much more authentic than what we're used to and oh so delicious. Three of us had the amazing fajitas and one a burrito. Everyone was very happy and took home some for the next day. Honestly I can't believe I haven't reviewed this absolutely fantastic establishment yet- I'm just embarrassed. Best restaurant in the area. And we live in Bennington which is really a food desert so we drive 25 minutes just to come here. Where to start? Let me tell you - I always used to get the chicken enchiladas, which are rich and delicious, and because this is Mexican fusion, there is a depth and robustness to the flavor that's indescribably delicious to accurately capture in this text box, but must be experienced in person. When I went vegetarian I thought to myself, "Great - now I can't have Mexican / Coyote Flaco anymore because the cuisine wont be as good." Au contraire. Sophia and Vanessa, the beautiful, charismatic and consummately knowledgeable proprietors recommended the vegetable enchiladas tonight. And well, I took the risk. It paid off. I have never in my life - and this is not the effervescent and uniquely palatable spicy margarita I drank speaking - had a more delicious enchilada, memorably. The vegetables in it were perfectly marinated, the selection thoughtful, satisfying, and perfectly paired with mole sauce-- best meal I've had in years. Maybe best Mexican ever. Seriously. This should have a James beard award. To boot, the salsa and the guacamole is absolutely the freshest most delightful in the area; but if you're craving dessert, the tres leches is perfect - creamy, decadent, not too heavy. From someone who will travel far and wide for a good meal, the buck stops here. Consistent, fresh, thoughtful, and memorable - from food to experience - I cannot recommend Coyote Flaco enough. This place was a 4.5 star for me. A solid Mexican restaurant with really interesting specials, well balanced with flavor and clearly using quality ingredients. The outdoor dining was nestled by a babbling broom which was just lovely on a Saturday evening. Staff was very friendly and on their game despite being very busy. The highlights were the mole sauce on the chicken enchiladas and the tamale. The 4 (verses 5 star) rating is due to a lack of spice even in their hot sauce. While the main dishes were very good, the salsa was a bit too mild for me. This however could be playing for local taste. And they couldn't make any virgin drinks, no virgin margarita or mojitos. They were very apologetic, not rude about it but it was a little odd. Perhaps just all pre mixed. Ok starting with I grew up in Los Angeles and now live in Dallas so I consider myself an expert on Mexican food. So to say I was not expecting much with a Mexican restaurant in Williamstown Mass . Boy was I surprised the guacamole was about the best I have ever had and was served with all the meals we got a really good start . We had chili relleno And beef burrito both excellent and I mean EXCELLENT we added a pork tamale . The tamales were smothered in a fantastic chili verde sauce and was really good . To give this absolute gem of a restaurant one star because you didn't like the price of guacamole should get you banned from leaving reviews. It plainly states "market price," all you had to was ask which is what we did when the waiter told us the specials and we ordered the scallops in green mole sauce which was better than 5 stars. Frankly, it is my go to place in the Berkshires when I want to be sure the food and ambiance are good. My recommendation is that you always look at the specials. I have been told that most people order the Mexican, which is quite good, but the spectacular food choices are the specials. Why? On a road trip and found this place on our route and took a chance.....so glad we did!! No reservation but they squeezed us in. Margarita was fabulous! Our server took excellent care of us and went beyond the extra mile helping to confirm what allergies I had and making sure our experience was wonderful! The food was top notch! Truly! Coming from Texas, I have been skeptical to try Mexican in the Berkshires but Coyote Flaco came highly recommended by several friends. They were not wrong. I had the Oaxaca enchiladas, and was very pleased. The mole sauce was excellent. The presentation with smaller cups of beans/ salsa/ guacamole that were created from tortillas was creative and made for a very pretty plate. My only issue was that the salsa has NO spice. Showed up mid-blizzard on a Saturday night with 2 hungry kids after a long road trip. Wife was still on the road coming from another location. Fantastic food that hit the spot! Very traditional preparation but very unique. We had fish tacos, Carnita tacos, chorizo burrito, and the fajita special (salmon and shrimp with mushroom). My heart sank as I walked up to the restaurant and saw the sign that masks were required to enter. As my husband and I turned around to head back to the car to retrieve our masks, a nice customer leaving advised to walk through the front of the building to the other side where the outdoor seating was...no masks required in that area! We sat right next to the stream, ahh, nice! They provide a very small basket of chips and salsa. It was yummy and we asked for more...$4.50 for a slightly larger basket of chips and salsa. We shared an enchilada. It was yummy, but I'm honestly not used to paying $20 for a meal at a Mexican restaurant, but we were in the Berkshires! We shared a half pitcher of margaritas for $24, which was about 4 glasses...be careful, they are STRONG! Our waiter was running all over the place and was great considering he was serving the entire outside area. Big outdoor sign and Yelp says they are open Tuesday through Sunday. However, sign at the door hidden by the bush says they are open Wednesday through Sunday. We stopped in on a Wednesday and they were for sure closed! read more
