Maitake & oyster mushrooms empanada with pistachio mole & cactus & mushroom tacos.

The scene: Cozy, real candle lights, live plants, beautiful velvet curtains, comfortable, and transports you to someone's tía's casita. The staff: friendly and knowledgeable about the menu The food: spices, flavor, wonderful pairings. What we got: -Mushroom mole empanada -Chile broccolini -Cactus & mushroom tacos 10/10! Will definitely be returning here for the fantastic vegan food specifically.

Mexican chocolate and cinnamon ice cream from Lickety Split - they were creamy and loaded with flavor

I couldn't think of a better way to end our afternoon at the MoCA then to grab an early dinner right on the campus. The salad was fresh, the side dishes were loaded with flavor, and there were many vegetarian options! The ice cream, which is made by another vendor in the museum that is local to the area, was exceptionally good Colan the Mexican chocolate had a nice chocolate base with a good amount of spice, and the cinnamon ice cream was loaded with flavor. The Casita patio overlooks the main museum entrance and is beautifully shaded in the early afternoon in the summer by cantilevered umbrellas. Our server was really friendly and the food came out promptly. This was a great experience for us and our guest who was visiting for the day! I am certain we will be back next time we visit the museum.

This place is a vibe!!! The decoration and ambiance is so comfortable and inviting. The small menu means that everything is made w love. Drinks were great, food was really good - everything just hit the spot. I'm so glad I found this "hole in a wall" because it really was the highlight of our trip to this area. Our server was really nice and our food was served warm and quickly. If you haven't been here yet I highly recommend it!

The ambiance here is truly adorable! I love the decor and the cute plants they have around. I really do enjoy eating Mexican food. I ordered their quesadilla it was cooked to perfect and a nice balance of meat and cheese. The tacos I ordered were pollo and carne asada. It had a nice serving of meat on the tortilla. The flavors were delicious and right amount of spice. The churros were delicious! Nice crispy with soft center. I'm not a bi g chocolate sauce person I prefer caramel but over I had a great dining experience.

It was our first and only time there, so I'm banking on that they were a little off their game. So it took about 20 minutes for us to get water, or a waitress. Then it took what felt like 3 minutes to get our apps and/or entrees, which came about 2 minutes apart. Big portions, so we didn't get dessert. But I will say that the food was excellent. They have mocktails too. There was no one there when we left, so it because less stressful. I'd go again.

I'm not saying that the food was crap,…read morebut just manage expectations and treat this more of a casual pub scene, rather than fine dining. The first time I came here, I actually did not eat or drink anything. That's because as I perused through the menu, the restaurant lost power from a thunderstorm. So they basically could not serve food for an unknown period of time. I thanked them for being informative and kind and moved on to a different spot for the evening meal. I decided to return a second time. The wings (Buffalo and garlic parmesan) were well-fried and flavorful. The risotto had too much balsamic vinegar on top, and the rice tasted a little sweet (think rice pudding). Both were turnoffs for me, and felt fortunate that it wasn't my order. The buffalo mac n' cheese was quite good, with a large portion that made it satisfying. Service was friendly and kind throughout and the decor was okay, though a little dark inside (even when they had electricity). This is a decent choice for food and it is on a main road.

The salad was arugula, endive, radlcchio, red wine vinaigrette and parmigiano reggiano. Nice light salad. To its credit, there was ample variety within each course of the fixed-price-menu to satisfy vegetarians, vegans, and meat eaters. Everything was superb (little gem's ceasar salad, a scrumptious cauliflower main dish, asparagus, steak, tagliatelle emiliana, chocolate budino, lemon olive oil cake, French fries, olive mixture, braised beef, doughnuts, etc.). One feels very welcomed by the hostess, the wait staff is efficient and unobtrusive, and the restaurant avoids the sin of many restaurants these days: blaring and abrasive music. We had a little mishap with our main course in that one arrived much later than the others, and a guest's braised beef dish was a little on the cool side. The waitress (Amanda M.) was extremely gracious in handling and remedying these issues. Thank you, Amanda M. I highly recommend.

Our bartender was super nice and fast. He came and brought the menus really quick. Our drinks were really good and the food came out really fast. I believe the first night we had the wings and the homemade chips, as well as the ramen !(the wings and chips were perfect). The Asian inspired dish was a little bit spicy but very tasty. The second night we tried the mushrooms crostini and again was perfect. Decent burger, I would have loved the bun a little bit more toasted, and the cheese a little bit more melted but other than that was good. I had a fish dish that night. ( not too crazy about the Brussels sprouts but other than that was good) . Yes, we came back for a third time for New Year's Eve. I really wanted to try the miso Caesar salad and again it was 10 out of 10. Probably the best Caesar salad I had so far! My husband had the steak that night and I had the pasta. Both good. Ma favorite? The salad and dessert. ( apple crisp with ice cream, a must ). The ambiance was really good, we loved the cozy vibes at the bar, the decor, dim lights and especially the 80' music. Can't wait to return!

I did enjoy the hangar steak (although it was bit dry since I don't put barbeque sauce on my steak) and the salmon was good, but the side couscous with the salmon last night was cold. Tonight we ordered the pork chop (delicious), but the sweet mashed potatoes had the skin on them (?) so I couldn't eat all of them. The Mediterranean baby kale salad was very good, but the chicken was dry. The paper planes cocktails are excellent! Overall a very good experience and definitely recommend.
