The place is pretty low key, nicely decorated inside with table seating and booth seating. and a few seats at the bar. I've read several online reviews of this place which are mixed both good and bad. However, I decided to stop in here for Saturday dinner recently. The place was not too busy as I could sit anywhere I wanted as I entered. The server arrived promptly with a menu and complementary chips and salsa and an ice water. I ordered the Beef Chimichanga ($12 plus tax) served with rice and refried beans. The chips were crunchy (not warmed) served with a mild tomato salsa. The Beef Chimichanga dinner arrived to my table in under 10 minutes nice and hot. The chimichanga was a 12" deep fried soft tortilla filled with ground beef, rice & melted cheese, topped with diced tomato and sour cream on the side. The Mexican rice was cooked very nicely and just right, not mushy like at other Mexican restaurants. The refried beans were soft and dense and not soupy, good job here. I finished my dinner and chips, but I did not save room for dessert (fried ice cream, churros, flan). Overall, the chimichanga dinner was pretty good and very filling. The service was very prompt.

As soon as we entered we were greeted by a wonderful aroma - as well as by a super friendly young woman named Louisa. The restaurant was not busy - only one other couple- and Louisa said we could sit anywhere. She gave us menus and after a few minutes took our drink order. After bringing the drinks she took our food order. I got a grilled chicken burrito and my wife ordered a veggie burrito- with added mole (a chocolatey sauce). Our food arrived timely and smelled absolutely wonderful. The burritos were packed with filling and were quite scrumptious! The grilled chicken in mine was spiced rather uniquely and was absolutely terrific. My wife's burrito had a great variety of veggies and my wife loved it. We highly recommend this eatery and know you will not be disappointed if you give it a try. It is located down a side street and easy to miss but it is definitely worth your effort to locate it.

I think what I can't get over is the prices of the food and how it was just ok. Not bad, but not excellent. Some stuff I get if it's a little on the pricey side. If you're serving up a homemade mole that took hours to make I get it, but some other stuff, like the carnitas taquitos (they had another name I can't remember) 18 bucks for 5 of em with rice and beans, yikes! I think the plus side though is that they tasted very fresh, these beans didn't come out of a can so I appreciated that. We ordered aguas frescas and they were not authentic. It was pretty much a concentrated syrup that you add water to. There was some stuff on the menu where I couldn't believe the price point, 13 bucks for some chips with guac, why? Service was ok, it just seemed like the waiter's mind was elsewhere. Again, not bad, but not amazing, expect it to be a pricey bill.
