This was my second time here. I came here the first time when visiting the Berkshires and had to make sure I stopped here again on my trip to celebrate my anniversary! The overall vibe is really fun. It is very colorful and spacious inside. Their food is incredible. I love the complimentary chips and salsa. Their salsa is the sweetest salsa I've ever had. Had to get the watermelon margarita which was a little heavy on the alcohol and I did wish it had more watermelon flavor. I got their vegetable fajitas which were packed with flavor and such a generous portion. The guac was incredible! For dessert I got the fried ice cream which was insanely good and even had a corn flake crust on it. Definitely visit here if you're looking for a great Mexican spot! read more

Food is delicious and they have generous portions. Service however was awful. We were the only ones in the whole place . We came for lunch. It was the servers last day and he made that very apparent. We had to try and find him several times, he never checked back with us, we asked for sep. checks because we were a party of 6- but we had to do the separating with him because he came with one check. We wanted dessert which we had to track him down for and he never cleared our dishes off the table so we had to put them on another table close by. They do add a 20 percent tip onto the bill automatically which was alot for the service we got he did not deserve it at all. Overall it wasn't a great visit but the atmosphere of the place is nice, and the food as I said is so good and they give huge portions. Hopefully the service improves. read more

Went to Tito's for the first time tonight. The first pleasant surprise was that although it was in downtown Pittsfield there is a parking lot. When our party of 6 sat down we were given two bowls of chips with very good homemade tasting salsa. The waitstaff was pleasant and efficient. We had fajitas, quesadilla, garlic shrimp and empanadas. Everyone enjoyed his meal and any special requests were honored. The entrees were plentiful. I'm looking forward to returning. read more

My two-star review is now a four-star review. Tito's, under the new La Fogota ownership, is vastly improved. The food quality is higher and the service is much better. If you skipped it before, come back and give it a try. The best part of the new menu is the dinners on the back. When you walk in, you get a real suburban Mexican restaurant vibe. Tito's still has those over-the-top booths with the Tito logo design carved in them and the tables with the Tito logo burned into them. The plates and the glassware look the same. Let it wash over you. But, the food is really good. I loved the Camarones al Mojo de Ajo, a delicately prepared shrimp dish in garlic sauce with yellow rice and a salad with guac. The portions were generous. I counted around two dozen shrimp on the plate. Put it into a wrap, and it makes a great meal. The Pollo Maya had perfectly grilled chicken. I loved grilled chicken when you can taste the charcoal flavor. The "Mayan" part is a selection of vegetables in a cheese sauce. I think they could rethink that. It seemed more American than Mexican. The cheese was really bland. But, still decent. Looking around the restaurant, you will see lots of huge portions. I am glad that I did not order the chips and guacamole because I would have to waddle out of the restaurant. There are a lot of new Latin restaurants opening in Pittsfield. Visiting for the weekend we all wanted to try out new restaurants and this place had good reviews. It is my 21st birthday so we were excited to go out to dinner. Once we walked in we were greeted by no one until a woman who seemed very disappointed aka Valeria, she got up from a table that she looked like she was eating at and came to greet us. She was dry and didn't seem enthusiastic to seat us especially since we were a group of 7. As we ordered our food there were multiple things that she missed completely but were on the check. We tried to ask for the things that were missing but she was no where to be found. There were waitresses that came to bring food out that we trying to explain we were missing things. She then appeared from behind the bar with a drink that she was very clearly drinking with a vape in her hand. So not only was she drinking on the job she was blowing smoke but still not coming to check on her table that "she was taking care of". Music and overall vibe of the place was nice and the food was delicious but I really do think they can do better on the service and they can definitely do better without that hostess/waitress. Btw a group of 6 or more includes automatic gratuity added to the check which was not listed in the menu. Therefore as visitors from NY definitely would not recommend this place unless you are doing take out cause clearly their staff do not care for appearances or respect to their customers. However, we both ordered different meals and received the same, neither of which were what we ordered. We also ordered the worst margarita I've ever had. Indian restaurants have this bad habit of making dishes that are supposed to be intensely flavored very bland. They think Americans can't handle it. A lot of Mexican restaurants pull the same shit. I don't know how this preconception was born but let me issue an advisory opinion on this (and I'm the fucking Supreme Court of spice): Americans, including the white ones, love intensely flavored and spicy food and they can handle it. It's the culinary equivalent of baby-talk. Ever seen people talk like that to their kids or, worse, old people? They sound like they're recovering from blunt-force trauma to the head and they're making their kid dumber. Neither the kid nor great-grandad has brain problems. They process words the same way we do. Kids learn how to talk from you. Would you like your son to sound like he suffered a head injury when he's interviewing for a job? The interviewers will listen to him out of politeness, but once he leaves, his résumé is quickly going to find itself in the restroom, demoted to toilet paper. It won't even be the partners' restroom. Your kid's résumé is going to find itself scraping the ass of an intern. An intern. The legal industry's answer to busboys. To prevent this from happening, follow the same advice I'm giving to Indian and Mexican restaurants in Boston: STOP TALKING DOWN. If you do end up in peaceful Pittsfield, Massachusetts, reward the only Mexican restaurant who will talk to you like an adult and patronize Tito's. You can go here for all three of your meals and the menu's depth and breadth will guarantee variety and flavor each time. I enjoyed the dishes I ordered so much that I actually ordered one of them twice even though there were a lot of other dishes I had yet to explore. Their enchiladas aren't even that cheesy or drowning in sauce. They're lightly seasoned but so fresh that they'd qualify as a light lunch. If you want to make it a more hearty lunch, there's always beans and rice on the side. The rice is infused with a very light tomato flavor and is delicious. I always finish the rice, and the beans don't stand much of a chance either. There's about nine-hundred different ways to make enchiladas so this may or may not fit your preferences. If you like the version with a layer of cheese draped across sauce-drowned rolls like a Persian carpet, you might not like this. There's many other options you will like if bold and zesty is more your cup of tea. Like the chile colorado. This has nothing to do with altitude sickness or pot. "Colorado" just means red or colored in Spanish. It's a sauce that is made from several types of dried chile and roasted vegetables. Some versions even have toasted nuts or seeds in it. It's not quite a mole but it's far beyond an average salsa. And boy does it show. The sauce was just the right level of hot without gutting my cheeks (all four of them) and it had depth and punch of flavor that kept my taste buds screaming for more. The little strips of beef will be well done but that doesn't matter when the sauce is as good as it is. Mix it with the rice to make one cohesive dish. You won't be sorry. I was told by my huffing and puffing dining companion that the chicken fajitas were equally impressive and even more tender than the beef. I believe her. She handles spice better than I do believe it or not. If you're in the mood for something equally zesty and with a good hard kick but on the lighter side, get the camarones a la diabla. Literally "Satan's Shrimp." Right to the point. This one will have you taking many sips of margarita. I'd advise against the margarita if you're trying to get gutterfaced. They make it weak. This is a solid strategy in terms of profit but not in terms of getting steamed and passing out. Just order tequila straight if you're seeking the latter. But if you want the taste of a margarita without the inconvenience of getting a buzz, then order it by all means. They have at least five types of margarita and they will all complement the multifaceted flavor profile of those chile sauces. I'm giving you this advice not because I care about your wallet but because I'm the sentinel at the gate of fun and I shoot party-poopers on sight. Under my watchful eye and my crack shot, you will never have to worry about being able to walk back to the Holiday Inn two minutes away from Tito's. With me on duty, armed to the teeth, you will stumble and sway your way to the hotel room toilet, over which you will be poised to become reacquainted with your dinner before realizing you fertilized the potted plant in the lobby. The sweet, chatty receptionist is looking at you like she saw your face in 'The First 48.' It's the least I can do for the three people who read my reviews. read more

Apparently Tito's is under new management since we last ate here. All I can say is Bravo! to the new owners, cooks and staff. The food was delicious! Authentic Mexican food. The tortilla chips were fresh and crispy and the guacamole was delicious. I had carnitas enchiladas, some of the best enchiladas I've had......Our server, Nicole, was the best! Competent, efficient without being pushy, and a tremendous sense of humor. Thanks for a joyful experience Nicole! We will definitely be back, in fact, Tito's has jumped up to the top of the list for when we eat out. read more

On a little road trip to Pittsfield, we wanted to try a place that we don't have available locally. Tito's appeared open on this lovely Sunday morning so, Tito's it was. A very dark venue hid a person who would take my order. It is unfortunate that as I age, I don't seen to be able to eat as much as I'd like or as much as I used to. Hence, I ordered the chicken tortilla soup. Big surprise, it is a quart container that I could not finish. It was well worth the few bucks I paid since it was chock full of chicken. Also provided was a bag of chips and a small container of salsa! Neato. Soup also had chucks of avocado along with crunchy chips on top. It was a delicious lunch. We have visited here before and had a decent experience. Good enough to come back and try again. The staff is friendly and mostly attentive. I chalk up any service issue today to light staffing which seems to be the norm. The food is very good. Couple of us had fajitas and another had a steak dish. All were enjoyed. One major issue with our visit was the flies. Not house flies, maybe fruit flies. They are gnat-like. We were kept company by the nasty bugs for our entire meal. Our server said they kill them but they keep returning. I doubt I'll ever return because bugs mean poor cleaning practices. Dear owner, Time for a deep clean, maybe fumigation. read more

Was in the area on a Girls Birthday Weekend away from the kids & hubby... Had been out shopping all day and hanging around. Wanted something fun for dinner and off to Yelp we went and we came up with this place... Had no idea about the area so we totally in Yelp's hands (Ironically we had dinner the night before at the Italian place across the back alley behind) We get in and are instantly seated, despite COVID the place is jumping (with Social distance spacing so that was nice)! Service was right away like "Ooh you are a customer, Oh Well - you can wait for me to finish what Im doing" thats the attitude we received from everyone we encountered. Took us easily 20 minutes to even place a drink order - then another 20 to get the drinks, the pace of the entire meal was just SLOW... I thought maybe it was due to COVID and opening back up & people are adjusting, but it was just LONG waits in between every thing we needed, our server was so slow we had to keep asking others for things that she should have naturally just been checking in on and its unfortunate because the Food was BOMB! Super fresh and tasty, but the service was just Non Existent... Then it was time to leave and a man (who we assume was the owner) was sitting in the back booth behind us and shouting about how all the shots were on him (with our waitress) and then it all made sense, she was drinking all night with other staff and therefore the reason our service sucked... At least try to hide it from customers or Just do business that way and then dont wonder when people dont come back! And it was unfortunate because the food was that good, but with the service like that I will never come back! I started this review with 4 stars but after writing it, I instantly was taken back to that night and really it didnt deserve that many stars... Slow service here. We were there for 2.5 hours and had 3 hungry kids. The drinks are huge and they even have virgin drinks which is great! Now for the food. I got the chicken Ranchero it is supposed to come with banana peppers but it came with jalapeños instead. This made it very difficult to eat since it was way too spicy. The vegetarian combos were ok. The chalupa are authentic so don't expect the taco bell shell. The cheese quesadilla was a hit with the kids. It was paired with French fries which they also loved. Ambience is warm; food is OK- pretty typical Mexican; chile rellenos are quite good; service is hit or miss. My take out orders sometimes include chips and salsa, and sometimes don't. If I have a margarita at the bar while I wait for my take out order, I sometimes get chips and salsa, and sometimes don't. But note: while food prices are reasonable, their margaritas are quite expensive: $16.00!!! I will no longer be having a margarita nor wait for a take out order at the bar. Bummer read more

Wow wow wow. Come here and come quick. This place was packed when I came and there was a half hour wait, but sit tight my friends because this Tito's is worth the wait. They start you off with chips and salsa and they give a HUGE menu with a large array of options. The portions are absolutely massive and delicious. The entrees come with rice, beans, lettuce, tomatoes, guac, and sour cream. Most of which you probably won't touch because you'll be so stuffed from the rest of your food. My meal was great. Chicken Fijats. Not anything else, my wife ordered a burrito bowl. They were out of Advocode, black beans and pico. It's just salad with lettuce chicken and corn. The bathrooms, was out paper on female side and men's side has water damage on ceiling. The food took about hour to come. We were there for 90 mins a couple of four. The place was empty. Went for dinner on a slow Saturday night. Was seated immediately and received chips before even placing food. After the chips were received, the service was TERRIBLE. Didn't refill water, didn't refill chips until asked, food was SO slow when I know the restaurant wasn't even that busy. I got a chicken burrito bowl which is on the "secret menu" and it was such a waste. No sauce or seasoning on the chicken, literally tasted like rubber, and the salad was just lettuce, corn, tomatoes. Could make it at home and make it way more delicious. Would not recommend unless you're getting cheap drinks. read more

Food was amazing. While my husband and I visited the Berkshire area we ate at Tito's several times without any disappointment. On one day I had the Flauta's that came with rice and beans. And my husband had Chimichanga. Both dishes were delicious. The second time I had Carne Asada( OMG) and my husband and street taco's . Final time we shared the Mexican Nacho's. Margarita's (regular, mango and passion fruit) were on point!!!!! Service was wonderful. Restaurant was clean and neat. The employees made us feel welcome. Fabulous salsa and homemade chips. Some of the best refried beans in a long time and burritos are beautifully stuffed. Full bar. Great and expansive menu. Dirty door entrance into a large restaurant that celebrates Frida Khalo posters in abundance. Inattentive, poor service from waiter. Super slow service, we were told repeatedly that the kitchen was super busy, even though tables across from us who were seated well after us got their meals. Finally after an hour and a half I enquired about our meal and 20 minutes later we received our meals. Sizzling fajitas were lukewarm and so was our other meals. Ordered a 22 dollar meal for pick up .. Shrimp Fajitas when I got home I opened it and everything to make the Fajitas was not there .. I called and the employee said what do you want me to do ? .. Under new ownership, the restaurant looks exactly the same as before. The menu is much smaller. The food was nothing special. We used to go here a lot. Maybe when they are fully operational it will get better. They are still awaiting their liquor license. read more
